This might be more related with OBS than Streamelements, but I didn't find a solution, so trying here.

Ever since I added a second monitor to me setup de the sound reproduced on twitch form the desktop sources sound a little "metallic". Mic is fine.

Di anyone experience something like this or know how to fix it?

I know it may seem like a dumb and very obvious question... but I'm having a very hard time trying to find a solution or any posts related to the topic of "how to insert spaces in a long scrolling text in elements?"

to make it more clear, I have a long text of several lines, with blank lines in between each line. When add the text widget as a static text, it displays as it should. But I want the the text to scroll up, and then... all of the sudden, all the texts show up altogether without any blank lines

is there a way to prevent that? or to force having blank spaces between lines?

My OBS crashes when I launch it or it doesn't show my overlays in the browser source. If I launch it as an admin, it still won't show the overlays. I've reinstalled it 3 times.

on the left is the text, with blank lines between paragraphs, as it should be displayed... and on the center, inside the TV screen, how the text actually displays without any blank lines

Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut -> properties - in the "Target" field add this -> --remote-debugging-port=40404
Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
Click on "StreamElements - Activity feed"
navigate to the Console tab
type in the console this: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration() and hit enter
Try setting the custom bot name

Hello, I have a problem with obslive. It recently started crashing, and I wanted to update it to OBS 25. I however get multiple error messages saying "Error opening file for writing" for multiple files like "obs-browser-page.exe" or "obs.streamelements.dll", and several more. I already deinstalled and reinstalled with the installer from the streamelements website, but the same thing happens.

An user is reporting problems with capturing video with OBS.live after it has been updated. He has OBS.live in the latest version (25.0.8 64bit).
He streams by capturing the PS4 video via external capture card FHD, however, only on the PS4 has it stopped working, because on another console it works normally.

I went to settings to input the stream key on OBSLive, however, it asks me to log into account. I go to do that and I go to Live Stream and it streams to my channel and not the channel I'm trying to stream to.

The overlay is just an overlay. It doesn't automatically stick a webcam into the box. That's your job, with a video capture device source.

hey guys, tried to fix on my own but getting no where. My webcam randomly wont show in OBS live. It will in the camera app on my computer, and some others but wont in OBS. I am using stream elements obs live with an legato capture card and a ps4. I have the chat link cable hooked up and all the other cables hooked up correctly. When I open elgato software, the game sound comes through, but when I open obslive, the game sound doesn't come through unless I unplug my chat link cable from my controller, but then I cant talk to my friends or hear the game from my headset. it was working yesterday with the chat link cable plugged in so I was just wondering if there was a permanent solution

OBS.Live is a plugin for OBS Studio and doesn't affect the core behavior like audio.

If it's an issue regarding whether or not your chat link cable is in your controller, then that'll be an issue with the data being processed by Elgato's plugin in OBS.

@molten mountain Dropped Frames usually means that you have a bad connection with the streaming service(Twitch/Youtube/Mixer/Facebook) and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.
Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

Also no. Especially because OBS.Live overwrites the browser source. It doesn't add files. It replaces them. That means if you'd want to disable OBS.Live, you'd loose your browser source.

The Turing cards have an upgraded NVENC chip that has on par quality to x264 medium. So quality wise, even a GTX 1650 Super gives you better quality compared to GTX 10xx GPUs

High CPU usage is mostly caused by media sources, animated overlays and too many browser docks. NVENC (depending on your CPU of course) shouldn't cause more than 5% CPU usage.

1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut -> properties - in the "Target" field add this -> --remote-debugging-port=40404
2) Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
3) Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
4) Click on "StreamElements - Activity feed"
5) navigate to the Console tab
6) type in the console this: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration() and hit enter
7) Try setting the custom bot name
8) remove the added addition of step 1

@pale zealot yes, you could set the encoder to CPU medium or fast (the faster you set, the quality gets worst). And you need to check the impact your pc will suffer. Sometimes, even setting the fastest quality option, your CPU can have a hard time to handle it, then would be interesting to use your RTX with new nvenc.

There isn't an easy "Reset Chat" button at all, you have to fully log out and back in for the reset to happen?

In general, using our cloud-based overlay system rather than locally referencing files will result in a bit less usage, but it ultimately depends on your setup. At most it'll be comparable to OBS Studio on its own.

@hollow wedge If you are not seeing Likes/Shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

Hi. I am having an issue with my overlays not showing up properly. I have alerts set up in the "my overlays" section. When someone follows, cheers, etc, the sound plays and it pops up in chat, but there is no visual on stream or in obs. I went into the editor and played with settings. I get sound, but still no visual. Any recommendations?

You are saying you have bug...what is the bug exactly? still not saying what the issue is
you are showing a screenshot of the overlay editor with a test alert playing. Assuming you want to say taht you don't see your alerts, then the resolution thing needs to be adjust.

Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
Click on "StreamElements - Activity feed"
navigate to the Console tab
type in the console this: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration() and hit enter
Try setting the custom bot name

so for some reason my alert box isnt working correctly, it only shows alerts for new follows and shares, but likes dont pop up. Usually if i just log out then log back in it fix's it but for some reason it doesnt work still.

I've been having Issues Connecting my Custom bot. It was fine until I changed my password for the bot account. I have since tried to log in through live multiple times but the bot wont connect. Am I missing a step?

I have 2 problems as well,
If I try alt tab onto my browser or something. OBS is always on top. Similarly my overlays won’t activate when I put them in obs

for overlays, make sure the resolution in the browser source is correct (1920x1080)
and if you have the SE plugin turn off hardware accel in settings > advanced

make a blank overlay in the SE editor, put the media request widget into the overlay only

add the overlay into obs, in the browser properties select "control audio via obs" option

go to edit > advanced audio
turn the monitoring for the overlay to "monitor off"

I have recently bought a stream package from VisualsByImpulse and I have done the 'one-click setup' for twitch. I have already included the url into OBS Streamelements but I think what I am confused about is how to include my full package. @slender haven If your Mixer stream has "Low Latency" greyed out in the player while using OBS.Live, do the following:

Stop your stream
Go to your stream settings in OBS and return them to your previous settings, where your service is listed as "Mixer.com - FTL"
In "live video settings" for OBS.Live on the left-hand side (in the chat window) change the setting on top of the window to "Go Live with Mixer Broadcast Dashboard settings" and press "Go Live!" from there

Could someone tell me how I can make the text always fit within the box so there's no cutting off if the name is too long? Dynamic font size seems to cut off

@rose quiver If your Mixer stream has "Low Latency" greyed out in the player while using OBS.Live, do the following:

Stop your stream
Go to your stream settings in OBS and return them to your previous settings, where your service is listed as "Mixer.com - FTL"
In "live video settings" for OBS.Live on the left-hand side (in the chat window) change the setting on top of the window to "Go Live with Mixer Broadcast Dashboard settings" and press "Go Live!" from there
