This question may have been asked so if it has I'm sorry. I just switched from streamlabs chat bot and SLOBS to stream element and OBS studio/live. I also have a new stream deck. I went and got some new overlays(animated) in the theme gallery and have the 2 or 3 second second black screen when you switch scenes due to the browser loading. So I know you have to use studio mode to pre load and then make the transition which makes using the stream deck a no go for transition between scenes. Is there a way to use the stream deck, without it going black due to loading?

If OBS is diconnecting your stream, then you are most likely having issues with your internet connection
turn off your router for like 5-10 minutes from the power cord

if the server quality is way bellow 100 then maybe call your ISP
but most importantly - don't stream via WiFi

hello everyone, I'm struggling really hard with Streamelements OBS. After starting the live almost immediately or after couple of sec it just BSOD. WHEA unconrectable error....every time. I updated everything, removed everything which isn't needed, removed even webcam and microphone from the machine just for testing and always the same BSOD. Also it just simple quite from OBS live but most of the time after hitting the live BSOD comes. I'm out of ideas......
This was a working machine with normal OBS and with streamlabs OBS as well (my girlfriend used it) so I don't get it.....

Okay I am in need of assistance. I recently started streaming on twitch about 2 weeks ago, OBS had been working fine up until Oct.2, that evening obs has started lagging everytime I run a game. it lags on the preview and even worse on actual stream. I've added the widget to my overlay to show the video on stream, but when I hit show on stream in the media request, the audio double plays, if that makes sense. I've looked into the mixer and both audio sources are coming from OBS, nothing from another source. I've double checked my overlay and the media request video is not added twice. I have 2, one is just for my alerts, so I can hide them if I really need to quickly, and the other has my panels, as well as media request, and yes they both have shutdown when not visible checked. I have all my browsers muted through my headphones, so it 100% isn't my internet browsers.

unless your willing to fresh install windows and redownload fresh gpu and audio drivers then install OBS Studio without the OBS.Live plugin. I dont know what you want me to tell you. the themes are made at 1920 x 1080 in the cloud editor > if your base canvas in obs is smaller than that you may want adjust to base canvas to 1920 x 1080 | additionally if you add the browser source at 1920 x 1080 you can right click and transform fit to screen

You could just place a text object as a source in obs using your custom font and then add the data for the label in the overlay to display the information. I don’t believe that a custom font that is only licensed to you can be used that way

I made the fake account for twitch and did it all, however whenever i get the Auth token from my fake account using the Ground control app and put it on my normal account the name still stays as stream elements or even switches to my own main account name and not the bot account. Hello Good day. I'm subscribed to castr.io and I stream on both twitch and fb. I've been doing so successfully for the past 5 days. But today the twitch stream stopped working and fb working perfectly. I noticed every time I start streaming through obs, the stream key and server changes even if I've placed the correct key before streaming. It changes from castr to just purely Facebook. Please help.

as versions get pushed dock positions save state sometimes get broken in updates the devs are tracking. In the mean time if you want the dock to save correctly you can roll back to obs 23

use DDU to remove the drivers and install again

DDU stands for Display Driver Uninstaller
which essentially removes all remnants of the display drivers, which happens after updating
or uninstalling the old fashioned way
Take a look at this before doing it, just in case 🙂

I went a bit deeper and see you are trying to stream with a 750 TI
you can try lowering your resolution to 720p instead of 1080p
and is your native resolution really 1440x900?

For some reason "redeemed" from my redemptions alert stays on the screen from SE. In order to get rid of this I have to click the browser source and press "Refresh cache of current page". My redemptions are on their own overlay in SE. And running from their own browser source in OBS.Live
The Redemptions widget is default: {name} redeemed {item}
This happens every time I open OBS.Live. Even when somebody hasn't triggered a redemption. It's permanently there on each scene, until cache is refreshed.

@void oxide for that you have to click on settings of you activity feed widget and head over to "Custom Name Bot". There you have to connect your bot Account and you are ready to go, you can also check the bot if tis working fine with the "Test" button

anybody able to help me? i recently switched over from streamlabs to streamelements and OBS.live but now when i stream i will get random disconnects. For example today i had 3-4 disconnects during a 1 hour stream of magic the gathering while as yesterday i had 1 disconnect in a 3 hour stream of sea of thieves is this an internet issue?

I had that issue last night, I'm not sure what was going on. I clicked stop stream and it just said "stopping stream" and I had to task manager stop OBS to stream again.

If you’re running OBS 24.0.1 with OBS.Live it’s recommended that you downgrade to 23 until OBS.Live is fully supported with latest OBS Studio

I've gone through the necessary steps to use a Custom Bot Name (I've modded the bot to my channel, I've gotten oAuth key for the bot, changed the bot name in Ground Control, etc....). When I use a command that the bot is supposed to respond with, it responds back as Streamelements and not the Bot Name). When I look at the users in my channel, it shows Streamelements as a mod and not my bot name. Do I need to kick Streamelements from my channel (unmod it)?

Ok I think that fixed it. I had created a Tips panel instead of putting the link in the Donations panel. Now when I issue a command the bot is responding. Thanks for the point in the right direction!
