My issue: OBS and Stream gets "stutter/spikes" every 2 seconds, after a while it goes to 0,5 seconds. When I restart OBS it goes back to 2 seconds.

Hello, so I'm in the process of moving over to StreamElements. I've edited the overlay and all, but when I add it to OBSLive using browser, there's massive fps issues in the animation. It doesn't affect any performance other than the overlay animations, and it's not visible in the Overlay Editor. Anyone have a clue what's up?

For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. Is there a special way to add a youtube playlist to the media request tool? When I put the URL for a playlist in the media request URL section I receive an error message "Internal Server Error"

The c922 doesn’t support PTZ as it is not a motorized camera. Any “pan/tilt/zoom” is done by manipulating the base resolution through software.

im having trouble with obs live and the website dashboard in general. 1. I don't have media request built into obs live like the tutorials that ive found. 2. My dashboard looks a lot different then the dashboards of tutorial videos ive watched, specifically i dont have the song request page, store page, etc. Ive also downloaded ground control and got the media request on there right, but when i press show on stream it says widget not found, even though i added the now playing widget to my overlay. don't know what to do at this point.

@violet musk 720p60 is the best option for the 922. If you want better picture you need to use a Brio, or the elgato screen link app, or a DSLR with Cam Link

Nope, I was using standard default app that comes with windows 10 known as "mail" app. I checked in chrome using webmail and the unsubscribe link is incorrectly formatted.

Here's the idea... I'm using a 15 buttons Stream Deck, i've 17 Scenes and 278 sources to deal with on my stream...

I'd like to be able to set all my sources and layers only ONCE for ALL of my scenes (My scenes are only different camera/screencapture setups) so when i go press one of these Multi-Action button on my stream deck, it plays my multiaction on "ANY" of the 17 scenes i'm in...

In a perfect world, when i create my multiaction button, i'd like to be able to hold down SHIFT button to select ALL the SCENES i want my MultiAction to work in... But this doesn't seem to work like it.

Is there a file somewhere where i can EDIT a script lane or something and replace it something... as exemple:

Run %Action On %Scene;Scene1

To something like

Run %Action On %Scene;Scene1,Scene2,Scene3,Scene4,Scene5,Scene6,Scene7,Scene8

and so on ?

And then save the file and my button will work on any scene ill press it maybe ?

I'm looking for a solution, if you guys have an idea to save me DAYS and DAYS of editing... this would be really nice...

Only way i've found was to add in the #1 slot of my multiaction button a "Scenes" Action linked to my "Master Scene" scene and then i put the rest of my multiaction script; Sad part is that i have to manually click the Scene i was in before i hit that multiaction button to get back to the camera setup i was using before i hit it...

Limit your FPS. OBS needs some GPU % too. CS is more optimized than Minecraft, that's why it doesn't happen there

You'd have to lock the FPS to a value where your GPU has enough headroom for OBS. Anything below 90% usage should be fine. You can also open the stats dock in View > Docks > Stats at the top to check your "Rendering Lag" and "Encoding Lag" Both means GPU overload in your case.

Not really. Like I said: OBS always needs some GPU power. You can also try to lower your game settings and limit your FPS manually but in general, 144Hz is a bad idea. 120Hz is good because you can divide it through 60. Not so with 144Hz.

Hey everyone, I'm starting to be desperate - My stream is performing very poorly while on my end in the game I am getting smooth and constant 60FPS or higher, but on the stream and in the stream stats on OBS it performs at say 15 fps for certain games

Could anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Included now - The reason I am asking here is I have in the past been able to stream smoothly for example CS:GO at 60FPS - But since I probably have changed key settings and now in virtually all games I have buttery smooth performance however on the stream it goes down to unwatchable numbers

It just confuses me because in the past I have been able to stream everything really smoothly. I ran into connection problems back when I didn't understand what bitrate means, changed multiple settings that probably resulted in my performance now at least is what im thinking. My internet has since been fixed by ISP and bitrate crashes are rare

Yeah as I said it's rare that bitrates plunge but it does happen, usually after starting a stream and then it stabilizes. I am not the only user of my internet connection so I attribute it to that - speedtests also turn out fine

My problem is just that I have been with the same setup and WORSE connection stability been able to stream perfectly fine in the past

Speedtests are not reliable 50% of the time.

Speedtests connect to a random server closest to you or with the least amount of ping/ms between you and that server that might be hosted by your ISP

using this tester, to check your connection with the twitch servers is best

as the dropped frames is basically this connection - between you and the twitch servers

I use twitch test before every stream - I get average 5900 at mostly 80 quality

if non of the twitch servers return 100 quality, then most likely ISP issue or you need to turn off your router from the power cord for like 5-10 minutes

Tried that over the last couple of weeks - (i only now ask here for help), while i am performing at 60fps on my end - the stream whether its set to 60, 48, 30, remains on the same number - lets say 15

So I've tried that to no avail - however now I set it to 30 because it probably cant hurt

so basically you are making it essentially do all the work

So to explain - the old NVENC usually uses CPU and GPU, but mostly GPU - sometimes depending on the card and CPU the connection between them is slow, meaning that the encoding process is slower and the rendering can be impacted as well, as its waiting on encoding data from the CPU

the new NVENC encoder is suppose to use only the GPU and not bothering the CPU at all with that back and forth of information

as was on an i5-4440 CPU before and I can tell you, my 1060GTX card

handled the new NVENC encoder nicely

Tbh, the only thing I would not experiment and change is the b-frames

everything else either look it up what it means and change it around and test

and see how it feels and looks

Ok so here goes. I have an ultra wide monitor (3440 x 1440px) I would love to use stream elements but am finding it increasing frustrating to find the correct way to setup using the overlay builder and use as a browser source. Am I meant to use a 1920x 1080 config the ‘stretch’ over the gameplay in obslive making sure obs base canvas is set to 3440x1440 and output to 1920x1080 or is there a simpler way?

I got an issue with a specific game. When playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the FPS in OBS Live goes down to 30-40. This happens even if I have all the settings to the lowest in the game and also fixing settings in OBS - is this a known issue? Or how can I fix it?

If you're downscaling to a lower resolution, the only way to make it look correct is to use a custom scaled output that is a downscale of 1440p

Ok I think we are getting away from my point. Setting up the overlay online at stream elements website do I use a base canvas of 3440 x 1440 or 4:3 ratio

The overlay should match whatever display you're using for games, so that it will look correct on top of the content

Not sure if this is an OBS or overlay issue. For the past week or so, every time I open OBS.Live, my store item redemption alert shows the static alert text ("redeemed !" without a user or an item redeemed) on my overlay. If I trigger a test store redemption alert via the overlay editor, the text disappears until the next time I close and reopen OBS again. I haven't changed my overlays in months but it seems like this started happening after a stream last week where a couple people redeemed store items. Is this a known issue or is there a way to fix it on my end?

youtube bitrate cap is higher than twitch so you can go beyond that if your internet can handle it

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Yesterday, in OBS, or OBS Live, I could change the streaminfo. Today that window is gone. This is the second time after an update that a few options under "floating windows" disapers. Hi, I've had this issue for about a week now.
I started up obs.live and my twitch stats, twitch activity feed, and stream information docks are completely blank (my chat dock still works). I've tried closing obs and restarting it, closing the docks and reopening them, but that didn't work.
I've just been using my dashboard as a substitute until I could figure it out, but I haven't and I'm really missing the convenience.

I am trying to stream Apex Legends as a Game Capture because i get Encoder Overload Error at the bottom if I run it as a Display Capture. I cant seem to get it to show up at all even after changing in game display mode or settings in OBS properties. Am i missing something?

@autumn robin Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding `+fps_max 60` to the game's launch properties in Origin.

make a new scene and add a new game capture source, keep default settings, go back into apex and click about in the menu and see if it shows up in obs,
then try the drop down menu in the game capture properties and set it to capture apex specifically

it doesnt matter what gpu you have, the above info from the bot tells you why its overloaded

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

it was working fine Tuesday night but definitely had a tough time getting it going. Took a few tries. Now it wont seem to show at all and i havent changed anything.

So apparently i have to Run OBS as an administrator every time?

I know this isn't quite what this channel is for but my Streamdeck keeps killing off the plugin for OBS.

I had to reinstall it all yesterday to make it work and today it's done the same thing. Anyone got a fix?

The remote plugin. I think the recent OBS 24.0.1 is not the best and Streamdeck isn't properly working with it at the moment. I had to reinstall it several times, restart the computer, everything to get it to recognise it but now OBS is crashing.

(Not one of those with messy computers or anything like that. OBS used to be rock solid but now it's anything but)

@jovial stream If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have OBS.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

@ancient cypress You can test Alerts via the bell on the lower right corner of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard -> My Overlays -> Pencil/edit button on the overlay.
