@wraith kiln If only have the widget in 1 overlay and that overlay is not active, trying to use "show on stream" will give you this
but if this message is not popping up, then you have an overlay with the MR widget still active and not shutdown somewhere in the scenes.
And that will be the cause of the double audio
Try this: don't change scenes
turn off obs and turn it a back on
and right away play a song and use the "show on stream"
and let me know the result
without changing scenes

Hey guys, I've been working on a new Scene. It's made up of 5 individual overlays (as indicated by the yellow bands) because I want it to be modular. Each is animated. I have multiple complicated scenes, but after adding this one all the animations are choppy. In fact, now ALL of my SE overlays even in other scenes have gotten choppy. I'm not sure what to do, have you guys heard of this problem before?

I checked my download speeds and it should be... much faster than the current speed (progress bar is moving VERY slowly). So a couple of weeks ago I spoke to a SE member about a problem with the white theme for event list/media being stuck using obs.live and was told it was a known bug which would be adressed. Just checking in to see if anyone knows the status of that.. i really try getting used to the white but it's annoying while using a dark obs theme 🙂

Hello! Switching from SLOBS to OBS so be patient with me! I used Photoshop to create my overlay, then imported it into SE. I added a tip goal at the top of the screen. But when I add my camera source ontop in OBS. The Camera covers over the tipgoal. IS there a way to layer the tipgoal on top of the camera source? In Slobs you could show the camera source inside of the overlay editor, in SE you cannot. Thanks!!!

I have a really big issue right now.
Browser source from streamlabs is lagging, only ALERTS lag. Events and hopefully chat is ok...
Alerts are in WEBM. Everything worked fine until today and tonight is my first stream so I'm really desperate.
Found your video (Troubleshooting Alert Issues Using Streamlabs | Streamlabs Alerts Not Working), did everything shown there and nothing.
When you launch browser in opera/chrome etc, it works fine... But over obs, it's extremely laggy...
If you don't have a solution, I will have to reinstall everything and do a lot of work to make it as before and stream will be late... And who knows will it help :(

@mossy valley hey bro turns out it had nothing to do with my scene or layers. Its when i first added the browser source i left in the custom CSS, thats what was causing those huge delays. Once i readded them all and removed the custom CSS it worked smoothly

I fully deleted and re-installed both OBS and OBS.Live and at first it seemed like it was functioning properly since it didn't crash on close but after that first close it's back to crashing with the same .dll file being a problem. Ultimately nothing has changed but I figure that small bit of info might help.

I already had that C++ package downloaded so I did a repair and I'm still getting crashes. These crashes only every started after the most recent update and if I fully remove OBS.Live I can run standard OBS just fine with crashes on close.

hello I have a slight issue/question. Im trying to create and edit an overlay and it doesnt "update" to obs or its just stops displaying entirely

@shy mountain I finally solved my crashing problems. Unfortunately I don't know the EXACT reason why but when I noticed it would crash with the same exact crash report if I changed my OBS scene profiles then I knew it was a scene within that profile that was causing the crashes. There were some leftover Streamlab sources that I deleted (afterwards no more crashing on close or profile switch) but I don't know which one. BUT the good news is that at least it doesn't seem like it was 100% a SE specific issue.

yo legit thats why im bouncing from streamlabs, they did their update and my sources dont work correctly anymore and they removed the ability to edit from within the program but they left in the ability to buy their themes

@shy mountain Yeah they were in some scenes that I haven't used in quite a while so there must have been a conflict with the browser source since that's really all those sources ultimately were (and they might have been set to not be deactivated if not within focus)
Odd though that it didn't cause OBS to crash at startup but only on close/scene profile switch. You would think it would be the former.

@shy mountain Oh holy crap after looking back at my crash logs it DID give a hint into what the issue was! If you ignore the countless qt5widgets.dll lines the only other major issues were within obs-browser.dll (execute and destroy) and the obs.dll obs_source_destroy and obs_source_release

Question, so I reset my computer, losing all my settings. I put back all my overlays but am having an issue. All my timers just go and do not stop upon switching scenes and do not reset when I swap to the brb and starting soon scenes. Any ideas?

Is anyone able to help us facebook streamers out? Since this update we cannot login to facebook via obs.live... it prompts to login.. once you do, it prompts you to login again, but takes you to your personal wall as if I am on my browser looking at facebook.... OBS.Live fails to grab the login and switch to the page like it did before... Uninstalling and reinstalling OBS.live DOES NOT fix the issue..... thank you

What you need to understand here is that I'm useless with technology and TIRED of messing up, so I ALWAYS triple check. I saved.
3 days later noticed the bots were still getting points
Went to dashboard, they weren't blocked anymore
Re-blocked them, now it's working.
Now, that one doesn't need a solution, but... yeah, I wanted to report the bug?

Created the goal, set to 34/50
In fact, scratch that. It autodected 33, needed to change to 34
Then I did a "Test follower event"
Jumped to 39/50
I closed dashboard, OBS, everything to refresh the thing
Re-opened. 34/50
Test Follower Event: 22/50
At that point I was wondering: "Okay, is this a test-ONLY issue, or will it malfunction too in actual stream?"

Turn the Windows 10 DVR off & try streaming for about 30 seconds to grab the current log if it pulls up any of the audio issues you mentioned.

Ah. That is the Activity Feed. If you have the OBS.Live plugin downloaded: You should see on the top of OBS to click 'Streamelements'.
Click it -> Drop down & make sure 'Activity Feed' is enabled.
As the Activity Feed you should see the Burger Menu (3 horizontal lines) -> Click Stream settings -> Change the title.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me with transferring my overlays from streamlabs obs into stream elements. I tried doing it from StreamElements > Import from other services, but it did not help me at all

@warm wolf if you have the little widget in the browser then you can import them that way. You can get the widget by logging into streamelements.com
Make sure that you also long into streamlabs so they can be imported. And then after they've been imported, go over to the "myoverlays" tab on streamelemants.com and they should be there @warm wolf

Hey everyone, about a day ago I was streaming SCP SL and it has been working fine u til yesterday. Every time I stream and I go to check to make sure it’s working it’s is playing one frame at a time and it switches frame every (about) 60 sec. basically you are watching a bunch of pictures that change picture each min. But when looking from my obs live application it seems fine

@craggy egret Okay when you end your stream try changing your streaming encoder to x.264 (I'm assuming you're already using it though) and set the preset to "veryfast" under the advanced options. That's a good start to determine your CPU usage

@craggy egret What option was that? Also you might be able to handle the "faster" preset but "veryfast" is a good baseline to see how hard your CPU is hit by the encoder

@craggy egret Switch the "Output Mode" back to "Simple" but select the option for "Enable Advanced Encoder Settings" to make the Encoder Preset to appear. For most streamers the Advanced output mode isn't going to give them that many benefits
Then change the preset to "faster". If your stream runs fine then you should be good. If you get dropped frames or an "Encoder Overload" warning then drop it down to veryfast.

ok. so I am having an issue right now.
I created a new scene in my dashboard because I've got some new assets and wanted to change things up.
I make a scene for starting soon, and the only thing I have in there is a full screen 1080p looping background video and a looping text video.
the text video is 1300x270 pixels.
I add this scene to a browser source in OBS and the video playback stutters. specifically the background, because the text is also animated but by comparison to the background there are no stutters to it which leads me to believe that the servers that the scene is being hosted on with my account cannot properly handle the encoding of the background video, yet it looks fine in the editor just not in my OBS scene.
at first I thought maybe it was the overall resolution of the scene, and have tried making a new one in dashboard repeatedly all the way from 1440p down to 720p with no difference. So I am thinking that it might have something to do with the video itself and SE not handling it well for some reason, but at the same time I have had more complex things in a scene before and had it set to be a 1440p scene and have added that to OBS with no issues so I definitely think I might have narrowed it down to this video file specifically.
If anyone wants to try it out themselves to see if it does it to them I can DM the video background. it's not very large.
The size is 5.59 megabytes, is 4 seconds long, and is 1920x1080.
If anybody has any other possible reasons this could be happening and some troubleshooting to look into I of course will accept that.

wow. ok. it's better. like a lot better. but it still has one little stutter that seems to be happening every 4 seconds which is obviously the video looping. doesn't show that when viewing the scene in my web browser or in the editor, but is definitely showing up in OBS.
But at least it's jus that one tiny little hiccup that lasts for fraction of second (still obvious and noticeable, but not right up in your face LOL like the constant stutter and what seemed like frame rate issue before changing the hardware acceleration)

it's blatantly obvious when looking at it that it's not a frame rate issue, it's basically the video stopping for a fraction of a second before continuing again which would be the looping part and that would be the coding most likely that goes into the part of OBS that handles the browser scene and specifically the part that handles looping a video. Unless that isn't handled by OBS at all and that specific part is handled by the source which would mean it's StreamElements

So with the recent updates to obs.live my fps has dropped to low for me to use it when i stream(have had to stream directly from my ps4 lately) not sure if its my computer getting worse though either but im not streaming at very high settings either i thought maybe it was the overlay so i went to use a unanimated one and even that didnt fix it

@loud light You can actually import fonts to your Streamelements widgets, if they are stored on the internet, for example I do this to get google fonts, in my CSS, and the value comes from a Font select field: @import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family={{mainTextFontName}}');

As far as I know, no. Bear in mind StreamlabsOBS is a package of a modified version of OBS integrated with their own notification platform, so you can do the drag and drop to modify the overlay directly in your OBS, but Streamelements is meant to be used in any broadcast software, basically only displaying what is coming from Streamlements, so you have to add the overlay, and test the positioning by trial and error.

Well Streamlabs has a app called streamlabels... These are files like Followers , Sub , donations .TXT and then in OBS you say Layer Text and then it reads the text from file Follower.TXT
that gets updated everytime someone follows

Well, when you create your overlay in Streamelements, you set a resolution, this should match your resolution on your OBS
