Hi, I'm having an issue with audio while using NDI pluggin, everything worked fine until I changed the resolution from 720 to 1080, no more sound is comming out of the streaming PC, but I still have the audio bar showing me there is sound detected, any one could help me out ?

@tidal shoal We have got a store, where you can create a stream perk or a sound item and users can redeem these commands, to play a sound or video on stream after adding the store redemptions widget to your active overlay. You can also create a custom command with the variable ${redeem <itemname>} to redeem the item.

Unfortunately there is no option to limit a store item for only mods at this time. You can only limit it to subs or higher.

Depends on your game etc. If you play fast paced games, lower it. There's no "perfect" settings. Testing, testing and more testing is needed for some good settings.

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.5.27.394 )
exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
start OBS.Live
Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

That it works while you're offline but not while you're online, and you having to turn on your streaming PC now, tells me that it probably has to do with OBS being open, which points immediately to the rename function in OBS.Live.

Only way is to move the default OBS docks to the side so that the preview window and the chat widget can stretch from top to bottom.

i don't know what happened with the latest update of OBS (23.2.1) and streamelements live addon but at the moment the cpu usage in Taskmanager goes to 99% and renders the pc unusable ... in OBS the usage is at 21% ... this is without streaming or recording

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.5.27.394 )
exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
start OBS.Live
Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

So when I turn on Display Capture after I restart my computer, it works normally. However, when I turn on Game Capture at the same time as Display Capture, the scene in Display Capture glitches out, and freezes. After I try removing the display capture scene all together and then adding it back in again, it simply doesn't work any more. However, the game capture alone works fine. Any ideas or thoughts on what might be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks in advance for the help.

I recommend not to put game capture and screen capture in the same scene. Is it working when you create two scenes with only one capture source in OBS Studio?

If you want StreamElements giveaway information to be on your overlay you will have to also add a StreamElements overlay with the giveaway widget

otherwise you should be able to run your giveaway just fine with the bot and using the Giveaway management area of your StreamElements Dashboard

im confused. yesterday my OBS was running all good, no problems, now all of a sudden its using 1000 MB of memory when normally it never got to that amount even when streaming?..is there a possible cause for this? i did a update previously for OBS Live but i wouldn't suspect a update to make my memory usage skyrocket.

to remove the old one make sure you are in your correct (old fb) account and go here https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security and click the button there.
That will send a request to the devs to delete it for you; it's not an automatic deletion.

If you are trying to stream/record with OBS and are getting a black screen, make sure you added the appropriate source to capture what you are trying to stream or record. Window, Game, and Display capture are the three primary capture sources. If you have already added a capture source, and OBS is still black, please provide the link to your current log (Help -> Log Files -> Upload Current Log)

@plain sonnet Ultimately yes. I'm trying to keep any music on a separate track so I can adjust it without effecting my desktop audio or settings in OBS. Often times I get overwhelmed with the volume but when I put it low, stream can't hear it. So I'm wondering if there's a way to have it set to a different virtual audio device so I can set the volume, then turn it down for my headset. (Also so if I have any recordings of OBS, the media requests can be on a separate audio track for copyright reasons)

so yes you can, however i would suggest having ground control for your media request as adjusting it may cause issues with alert notifications within obs, im not sure a vac would be able to tell the difference between mr and alerts inside a program.

having ground control manage the mr means you can (should) adjust it without affecting anything else inside obs.

Then it's probably a problem in your modem/router. Would be the best to call your ISP and ask about your IPv4 connection and if it is available. Most providers only offer IPv6 and it seems like it's causing some problems with the activity feed in OBS.Live. Switching from IPv6 to IPv4 fixes the problem.

Hi,
I'm having problems with the Sub alert triggering. It works in the emulator just fine ... but when I am live the Sub alert doesn't work. Everything else triggers fine (follows for example).
Also, while I am here I can't edit or add new variations for cheers - they vanish completely or don't show at all in the alertbox widget

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.5.27.394 )
exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
start OBS.Live
Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

@reef raven You can test Alerts via the bell on the lower right corner of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard -> My Overlays -> Pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the "Show Emulated events on stream" option is on to see the alert in OBS/Xsplit https://streamable.com/h6qgy

@reef raven The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

If unassign/clear the sound file, the only expected sound the alert is trying to play is, if the video/webm you've placed has sound in it

Hi,
I'm having problems with the Sub alert triggering. It works in the emulator just fine ... but when I am live the Sub alert doesn't work. Everything else triggers fine (follows for example).
Also, while I am here I can't edit or add new variations for cheers - they vanish completely or don't show at all in the alertbox widget

You have tipping moderation on that checks the standard profanity filter against all types of alerts - subs, tips, hosts, etc.

The person that subbed to you, unfortunately, has a word that is part of his name and its being caught by the filter.

You've set the tipping moderation to disable the alert entirely, so it won't show up for them at all.
