Hi, I need help with the latest update

When I go live and play Apex Legends it starts to keep reconnecting the same time I get disconnected from the Apex server. This has only been happening today after I installed the new obs update

I streamed today for a couple hours and then after I installed the update it fucked up something , I installed one program in that time and it was the ESEA application

Hey, On two occasions when I've closed OBS Live it's caused my PC to blue screen. First time was after a lengthy stream but second time was this morning, it asked me to confirm an update which It went ahead with. After the update I opened OBS to see what changes had happened and after I closed it, my PC blue screened. I tweeted out and was asked to pop in here to troubleshoot 😃

Steps to use custom fonts:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Since the latest update my chat commands do not work. I have to use my phone and the twitch app for it to work, also can't place in raids or see if the count down. Any help is appreciated.

What do you mean with can't see the count down?
Afaik the raid is possible in the twitch chat in OBS.Live. Your chat window changes to the chat of the person you raided. You can get back your chat by logging out of StreamElements using the button StreamElemetns on top in OBS.Live and selecting Log out and Log back in.

Please follow these steps to clear your cookies. Old cookies are most likely the cause of your problem the twitch panels in OBS.Live not showing up.

1. Make sure they are on the latest and greatest version ( 19.3.8.351 )
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Log out Twitch: OBS: Settings > Stream > Disconeect Account > Reconnect acount

After this when you restart OBS, the panels should show up.

@cedar gyro The Chat integrated in OBS.Live is nearly the same as the normal Twitch chat. So you can activate the moderation buttons in OBS.Live by selecting the cogwheel in the OBS.Live chat and activate the Mod Symbols.

The show on stream button just enables and disables the video for your viewers in your overlay. It should not affect your sound at all.

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

The log does not really show any problems, but it looks like you are trying to do x264, on a dual core APU from 2014. I would not expect that to work well at all for a dedicated streaming PC, where anything could throw off any previous performance, even a Windows update could drastically change things

@naive turret no he means you have to goto settings/stream and disconnect your twitch account and reconnect. The twitch docks will then be able to be added but will once again vanish when you restart OBS.
This problem has been known since v23 obs release but still remains.

It seems OBS Studio and OBS.Live are fighting over the Twitch account.

Once fixed, everything will be perfect for me. Having streamelements activity feed, twitch chat, twitch stats and strem info all in one window :)

Yes, I have the tab, I have tried the reload button. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled obs live altogether and still an issue. The issue began when I changed my twitch name to drop a few unecessary characters, if there is a reason and a way to fix the broken chat I am down to try it. I can see all my emotes, just the chat doesn't work and settings says "Error loading data"

The activity feed works just fine though.

Yes. Restart your router for 5 to 10 minutes, check your connection to the twitch servers with the tool in the pinned messages in this channel.

If the tool tells you, you have bad connection to the servers, talk to your ISP for an upgrade package.

Else if the tool tells you, you have 100% quality on all servers and the issue still continues after resetting router - call your ISP and tell them you have an issue.

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)
5. Log out and log back in Settings > Stream > Disconnect Account > Reconnect.

@remote sphinx Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding +fps_max 60 to the game's launch properties in Origin.

But i get the error message saying i have no layout etc. and i don't want the song to play in the new scene as there are no new songs requested on the playlist. So the last song plays instead. And the only way i've found a fix is to reload the player. But this spoils the "show on stream" for the next request.

Most likely the "Shutdown when inactive" has something to do with it.

Have your Media Request widget on its own overlay.

Add that overlay to 1 scene in OBS.

Then COPY that source and paste (reference) to other scenes

MEDIA REQUEST: Hi, I cannot seem to change the back-up playlist since I started using OBS-live
It jumps back to the previous set back-up list, which is very annoying since I have daily themes, with new (long) lists that are used depending on which weekday it is.
Is this a known issue?

Check all your other options in the MR widget and make sure nothing is missing a number or settings. One of the issues you might see is, if you have requests via tips - the minimum amount is set

Everything is filled in. It actually worked the three first days, and I haven't changed anything in the widget, except the back-up list...which now reverts :/

I changed it- hit the "back" button on the website, and then it showed the next song being from the old list- so I hit "next song" and it's still old list... 5 numbers forward, still old list.

I can't seem to get media from a website to play. As a matter of fact, if I try to add a window capture for YouTube, the page will be black with the cursor/pointer fully visible

I FEEL like a 2nd screen will fix it, but I think that shouldn't be the solution

that shows the video on stream, as long as you have the media request widget added to an overlay

Just curious if anyone else has been having an issue when streaming on mixer with audio. I primarily stream on twitch but want to also push for partner on mixer. I have zero sound delay when I stream in twitch but when I tried mixer the other day (haven’t streamed there in probably 6-7 months or so) there was a clear 1-2 second sound delay on game audio. For instance on black ops I would shoot then a second or 2 would go by then the gun shot could be heard via stream. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone! I am having an issue with my host alerts. Just a few days ago I switched from SLOBS over to OBS Live because my bitrate in SLOBS was terribly inconsistent and frame dropping was abysmal. Thankfully I have not had that issue since I moved to OBS Live! However, last night I noticed that when someone hosted me, it did not trigger the alert, and didn't even show up in the Activity pane so I could trigger it manually. Other alerts are working fine (so far), it seems to only be an issue with hosts. Could I have something setup incorrectly, or is it maybe just a fluke?

@long jolt Due to recent changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
• All auto host events with at least 1 viewer

I don't know if someone postet it before but I have some annoying bugs with OBS Live since the last update(s):

1. My custom bot keeps disconnecting with OBS Live. With every restart of OBS I have to connect the bot again to get the custom bot name. Also logging in and type the 2factor code again.
2. Twitch Chat also loads with every refresh in Darkmode. It wouldn't be bad if I would use Darkmode ^^

But the bot disconnect is really really annoying.

The StreamElements bot in my chat recognized the host, but it was not in the Activity Feed, and it didn’t trigger the alert. After I noticed it the first time, I had someone do another host for me to see if it would function properly, and it did not.
