If i turn the volume all the way down while the song is playing. wait for a few seconds then turn it upp again. the delay is as long as i had the volume turned down foor

@polar basin your mic is a condenser, so you need to set it up (if you havent already) with the pickup facing up. the other thing you can do is add a noise gate to the mic filters. HOWEVER there isnt much that can be done if the keys are that loud when you talk as the noise gate is already open for your voice

what i would say, as a quick test to see if you can stream, is to take out the ?bandwidthtest=true and stream for about 2 seconds. as soon as you see your stream appear in video preview click stop streaming

then you can go back to get the bandwidth test to work

Hey, I am new to ObsLive and there are many things to like. But a few things aren't really clear to me. I am using one of the overlays which I edited a little to how I need them to be but I cant seem to get curtain elements to behave like I want them to behave.

Scrolling Text for example is one of them:

it does not seem to be continues and leaves an open area before it starts again, how can i make it so that it is one solid scroll?

Hey guys. Since you helped me out so nicely the other day (thanks again) I thought I'd ask another question. I have a 1440p monitor and my stream is 1080p. I could now either 1. Use 1440p as my canvas resolution and choose 1080p as my scaled output or 2. Use a 1080p canvas and manually scale down the 1440p Game Capture in the Scene Editor. I feel like option 2 would give me more freedom to use pre-existing overlay elements (which are mostly 1080p) or implement an Elgato Game Capture (mine is also 1080p max). Are there any up or downsides to either option on the technical / performance side you might know from experience? Thanks so much for your advice.

ok so what I did was go into the "PC Security" settings wheel, and went to the "Block/Allow files" and found the specific file it was denying. Once found, instead of having it on "Block" I just put it to "monitor" and it prompted me to allow the file. Once I said yes it went smoothly and downloaded and launched right away.

@slim lynx I am not familiar with the setup of an elgato StreamDeck. But we had people reporting problems with it. The devs of the StreamDeck are aware of this issue I think.

There is an known issue with the Stream Panels from the dashboard. We are working on a fix.
You can try to log out of OBS Live, using StreamElements on top > Log out. Then log back in again. This can be done while being Live. Just the chat will be cleared.

Another idea to get the statistic back, is to go to Settings > Stream > Disconnect account, and connect it again. After that the windows will show back up.
We are working on a fix for that.

At the moment after every restart and profile switch you have to do this workaround to get the panels back. We are working on a fix for this.

In OBS you can go to -> settings -> stream -> disconnect -> connect account. After that the panels and the chat box should be back. If not, you can activate one via StreamElements > Chat and the other one View > Dock > Chat

I have spent a few days frustratingly attempting to switch years worth of Streaming admin type stuff from StreamLabs to Stream Elements and decided to cut my losses and stick where I was when @odd kraken was kind enough to answer a single question for me. That single question turned into MANY hours with hundreds of questions, all answered by Benno.

Without their help, I would have easily called it quits...but after MANY hours I am happy to say that I have StreamElements setup and am quite happy. There is no way I would have done it without Benno's help and I wanted to make sure you guys knew that they are why you have a new supporter.

With the latest update to obs.live I am getting an error that the obslive-sdplugin.exe "application was unable to start correctly". Not the full error, hard to catch as it is only on shutdown, and will show up even when I havent started obs at all during the session. You might have to do this every time you switch profiles or you restart OBS. It is a known issue and we are working on a fix.

@odd kraken and SE Staff, I think I figured out the Stream Deck Issue. OBS Studio has "Elgato Remote Control for OBS Studio" listed under tools and OBS.Live version of OBS does not.

Having OBS Studio ONLY open I can see and use Stream Deck, having OBS.Live version of OBS open I cannot use stream deck.

I know it's off by default on a new install of BTTV, so you'd need to enable that in the BTTV options, but you can't access that through OBS Live

@candid olive so, I actually had a bunch of problems with BTTV the other day, and weirdly enough.. it was mostly sorted just by pressing a button for me

if you have this button, press it.. now all BTTV stuff shows fine for me (including gifs) with the exception of the first message recieved when the widget is open (apparently this is something to do with how the chat widget is implemented on the OBS code side of things)

(i'm referring to the button at the bottom, not the emote I also circled, just to be clear 😂 )

I dont follow what you are getting at. The tipping page minimum is the minimum amount someone can tip, it has nothing to do with media request. The minimum amount for a tip request is set in the media request settings. If you have this set to 0, then you just need to include a link where is says "request clip to share with your tip"

thats your tipping page, if they want to just request a song that is not a tip request, they simply use the command in chat !sr <YouTube URL> or !sr song name- artist

Hey, anyone have any insight into these two issues?

First, my custom bot winds up disconnected every time I close out of OBS and relaunch it, making me go through the process of reconnecting it every time I start up the program. It only started doing this after update before last, but that could be coincidental.

Second, for media request, the "Video Off" button doesn't seem to do anything, as far as I can tell. The player's still there and the video still shows up when toggled off.

Am I doing something wrong in either case?

hey guys, im trying a switch from Streamlabs to OBSLive with Streamlements, and having a hard time when it comes to onscreen latest alerts such as latest follower, top tipper ect. I am going through the overlay maker for this and have set up a browser source for which nothing shows. On top of this even though I have imported alerts across things like Top Tipper are displaying "no data" even though on OBS through the streamelements activity feed its picking it up

@modest locust Make sure to :ballot_box_with_check: “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). Quick question. For the Super Themes. I use a 1440p monitor. Is there anyway to scale them to my resolution?

Thats a 16:10 right?

Aah no 16:9 - so you can set the overlays to 1440p resolution (tiny pencil next to the name of the overlay in "my overlays") and then get in the overlay

and just adjust the sizes of the widgets.

Hi all - has anyone had any luck compiling OBS.Live on Mac?

OBS.Live is not supported on Mac.

We do have plans in the future for Mac and Linux.

That's great to hear official support is coming, however I see that on GitHub that there are some partial instructions to build OBS and obs-browser - but just not 100% complete and something somewhere is breaking for me in the midst of cmake. Wondering if anyone had any experience with that here.

I'd really appreciate that, thank you @shy mountain . From what I can see five users have contributed to the readme, OsirisNL, DDRBoxman, kc5nra, Lange, and zavitax but can't tell who pushed the mac guide initially.

Sorry, zavitax is our main dev on OBS.Live, so he most likely pushed the inital readme file.
