So on regular obs studio they have the dashboard looking stats that include views/subs/follows/watchtime/clips/viewers and i was using regularly studio for the past 2 days just to try it out before upgrading back into obs.live
Is there anyway to reenable those stats? I cant find it in the things to enable.
Easier way to explain what im talking about is these stats on the dashboard being displayable in obs studio but cant find out how to display it in obs.live

In OBS you can go to -> settings -> stream -> disconnect -> connect account. After that the panels are back.
You might have to do this after every restart or profile change of OBS. We are working on a fix.

Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding +fps_max 60 to the game's launch properties in Origin.

you could try disabling hardware acceleration on the browser source as well, but since you are using OBS.Live, that setting really shouldnt matter

@barren kindle Dont use different sources for the cam. If you do this, the one source will need to be completely shutdown before the other can become active. It is much easier to use the same source for the different scenes

Disable all windows gaming features, and since you are using x264 to encode, amd animated overlay could easily throw that off on a single pc setup. In that regard, it would probably be better to update to OBS Studio 23.0.1, and try the new nvenc encoder. It would give similar and possibly better quality output, while reducing system resources, and could be enough to work with an animated overlay

I recently installed OBSlive and OBS started freezing on me when I switch scenes and just randomly during streams for a second. I uninstalled it after one stream with it and the uninstall failed. I deleted all the files I could and reinstalled OBS and now all my streamelement overlays and alert boxes won't show up. Also my headphones stopped working. An OBS addon should not cause so many problems.

Is there an issue with the custom bot not wanting to connect every time we startup obs? Since the update this week I have to go and manually go and setup the bot and then hopefully it connects. Yes - its a known issue for the custom bot not being persistent after restarting OBS.

I like the ideas that SE brings to the table, which is why I wanted to give it a shot, and I LOVE the modularity that SE has on top of OBS, but SLOBS integrates VERY well with their website ( I buy my themes from Nerd or Die which has 1 click StreamLabs alert and notification setups) which make alert and notification setups supremely easy.
Both clients have different widgets, which is a taste thing, but not having the media request in a separate channel is a deal breaker for me.
In SLOBS I pay $5 a month for the MonsterCat app, and it has its own channel which I have routed through Virtual Audio Cables. My viewers can hear the music, but I cannot as I do not like music when I stream.
I liked the idea of allowing viewers to request their own music with media request, but if I am subjected to it all day long, I would rather not use it.

You might have to do this after every restart or profile change of OBS. We are working on a fix.

Its best if you have 1 media widget in 1 overlay and actually open.
If yes, I would suggest to click on "Streamelements" on top -> logout -> login

You can also control the volume of the youtube videos, by going to a normal youtube video and lowering the volume there.

lmao is this a joke. I've gone through streamlabs OBS and standard OBS. Everyone is able to identify a problem with a recording log when using stream encoder because they're the same thing at that point, one is just pushing to the internet the other is pushing to the hard drive. This isn't I have internet problems. It's OBSLive is fucking with hardware resources. A livestream would not change any of that in terms of the log it would just let you know if my internet was working. Which at this point means nothing because I'm having issues with basic recording

@frozen pebble Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding +fps_max 60 to the game's launch properties in Origin.

You might have to do this after every restart or profile change of OBS. We are working on a fix.

ok, this is very weird
trying to do my BTTV emote, I get this
clicking this emote icon at the bottom, it appears correct (doesn't show in the other emote icon in the "send message" box
once I open that emoji box once, BTTV emotes work again.. but this behaviour resets to not working once I restart OBS.. something is definitely not working as intended here.

If its the same as the OBS 23 chat, it uses custom javascript to inject bttv into the chat, might be related to how that works

sadly their implementation of twitch doesn't work for my specific use case.. as I can't sign into my twitch account and then also stream to restream (it deactivates the account when you change stream host)

well i don't think that auth your account for twitch and stream to RTMP at the same time will get implemented in OBS @cloud oak as per Terms of Service at Twitch you are not allowed to stream on multiple sites as affiliate or partner as the content has to be exclusive to them for the first 24 hours 😃 I see the point why it would be nice, but i don't think, if ever, it will have any priority to implement that to OBS

@echo tapir I use restream to stream a private VOD backup to youtube (there is no way to watch this live, it just goes to my youtube account) simultaneously as I stream to twitch which is fine by their terms of service
I then schedule that vod backup to go live on my youtube 24 hours after the twitch stream ends

I'm having an issue where my kb/s will fluctuate from 4000 down to 0, I believe this would be an internet issue but I've ran multiple speed tests across different sites and they all keep popping up with the same-ish speeds (68 down, 6 up). Do I need to phone my ISP or is there something up with my network or is there something up with my obs settings?

Almost everything that displays visually on stream is handled in your overlays, which are created/edited in the My overlays section of your account. A single overlay can hold as many widgets as you like, with each bit info you're used to displaying handled by an individual widget.

Hey guys, I have a rather simple issue that I feel shouldn't be that big of a deal, but I just can't find a solution. I have multiple scenes in my Obs.Live containing different overlays (browser sources) that feature a Media Request widget. Whenever I start a song on Media Request, every single scene with a widget outputs the song and not entirely at the same time, so it sounds kind of messy. Is there a way to only play audio from the currently active scene? Or do you guys have any other solution for the problem?

Thanks for the quick replay. I've actually tried this, the problem is that with this option checked, every time I change the scene it will take the browser source about 1 or 2 seconds to load in, so the transitions are not smooth anymore. Any other way you could think of?

I would also argue against using an ultrawide resolution canvas, as that will take more resources, and Twitch restricts to 16:9 anyways, so your output is not going to look too nice

You can chooose a resolution when you create the overlay.
The Overlay should be added to obs with 1920x1080p when you created the Overlay in 1080p in your overlay editor.

Will there be a patch for having to log into my twitch everytime I load up OBS? Before I installed the LIVE extension, I didn't have to login and reauth my twitch for the chat and the stream info panels. Since I've installed the LIVE extension, I have to do it everytime now even if I choose the login to remember the computer for 30 days.

@indigo rivet One of the issues is, when opening OBS.Live, the twitch integration (stats panel and other OBS Studio integration) doesn't load properly, so you will have to disconnect your twitch account and connect it again from -> settings -> stream -> Disconnect.
I'm not sure on the progress of the custom bot name not being saved, but that is also a common issue.

@ruby sierra Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding +fps_max 60 to the game's launch properties in Origin.
