@ivory egret I see you have five overlays with store redemption widgets: song requests, live game, spectating, intermission, and start. Regardless of whether or not the scene they are on is the one you have active, if you did not check "shutdown source when not visible" for even one of these in OBS, it results in duplicate audio.

Does anyone else's media request player play the same smaller pool of songs out of a large playlist? I have a playlist that's like 20 hours long, so I shouldn't be hearing the same song more than once (well, most days at least lol). But yet I definitely do, it's pretty noticeable 🤔

Sorry to ask about the same issue twice but I think my media request isn't utilizing my full youtube playlist. Also, while I'm here - is there a way to shuffle the playlist other than manually rearranging things daily?

There is no shuffle feature in the MediaRequest. For the issue with the MR not using the whole playlist, I am sorry, but I have no idea why it would not. Maybe another support has any ideas on this one.

Ran into this issue last night. My chat posted an amazon link, and I clicked on it through the obs.live chat window. I assumed it would open up my firefox brower, but what it actually did was open amazon in the chat window. After that, I could not figure out a way to actually back out of amazon and back into chat. Closed chat window and reopened but amazon was still there. So I had to shutdown obs and my stream completely and restart.
Has anyone else had that issue?

I am sorry, to hear that, but OBS.Live is just a plugin fpr OBS Studio, so it doesn't change anything in OBSs core features. The game caprute is an OBS thing.
I can't really help with that, as I am not that deep in the OBS programs. Maybe another support has any other ideas.

Have you closed SLOBS? Because two programs on the same game capture is not working I think.
Also make sure you started OBS as admin.

Make sure all your sources with a SE Overlay source are set to shutdown source whern not visible please. Also make sure you don't have any routing issues in your audio setup and that the Browser is set to mute in the ovelay edtor.

hey, i've got some problems with the backup playlist of the media request feature:
- skipping the current song also skips a couple songs in the playlist for some reason, so some songs don't even get a chance to be played (maybe because the songs aren't available due to region restrictions/them being unlisted/private? don't think so for most of them though, keeps happening no matter if the next songs are any of those or not)
- there's no option to randomize/
shuffle the playbackof it
does anyone have some insight/info on these?
oh and also, instead of just having toggle-keybinds, it might be a good idea to provide an option to set keybinds for disabling and enabling certain features each as well (like obs studio does in its hotkeys settings)
also also, clicking on the blue show on stream button (to do what it's saying) breaks the time indicator below the video - it doesn't show how much time has passed since the start of the media up to the point where one has clicked on the blue button to show it on stream

I have a WebM stinger transition that OBS does NOT like. It's rendered on a 60fps timeline from an MOV in Adobe Media Encoder with the following settings. Worth noting that OBS handles the MOV file just fine, but does not like this particular WebM at all. MPC-HC and VLC both play the file just fine.
Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone having serious trouble streaming Apex Legends? I'm starting to think it's the game's fault, never seen such a performance drop no matter the settings, would like to know if anyone is having similar issues (relevant amount of skipped frames, huge performance hit ingame)

@agile nymph Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding +fps_max 60 to the game's launch properties in Origin.

We have a plugin, not our own version of OBS, so we benefit from the most recent updates from OBS Project.
And the cloud-based system does result in overall less CPU usage. Someone even made their own comparison video. Let me see if I can find it for you somewhere.

Yes I have my custom bot name account, streamelements, and my broadcasting name in the pull down menu on obs.live.... But it sounds like Sean said I can automatically have it change to my custom name for when I'm live, and switch to streamelements when I'm offline... Im wondering how to do that

Just set a custom Bot name in OBS Live. So when you are Live and OBS.Live is running the custom bot name will answer the commands for example. And as soon as you close OBS.Live the normal "SteramElements" will answer the commands for example.

I've been in beta for media share all this time with no problems. Now that it's live, videos won't play on my overlay. It keeps saying 'no media widget found'.

That's not it. It will play a youtube link. Then when it ends, and another link is added, it suddenly won't play giving the error message.

OK, I can't seem to duplicate the problem, so hopefully it's fine, but another problem.
If I click the fast forward to end button on OBS.Live while the media is displayed, it stops the play back but doesn't remove the video frame.
And if I type !skip in chat, the media share section of OBS.Live says the song has been skipped, but the video keeps playing in the overlay
The only way to get it to stop is to go up and click 'stop showing on screen'. Is it supposed to be that way?
And now, again, the widget won't play videos. I've logged out, logged in, refreshed overlay cache, etc.
Is anyone here to offer help?

Yes, I have noticed, that when I get into task manager, obs has around ~5 obs-browser-page.exe's, when i closed all of these, my chat and activity feed within obs went to a white screen but the fps went back to normal

I recently started using the obs live extension and have been having difficulties with the chat box. It is only opening links with some sort of built-in browser which I don't want. Also, if I accidentally have my chatbox window swapped to something that isn't my chat anymore, I have no way to reset the widget without closing obs. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Links will always open in a popout version of the browser source function in OBS. Can't be changed.
To reset the chat when that issue happens, log out and back in via the StreamElements menu at the top. Doesn't interrupt the stream.

Hi all (again), I am still trying to fix an issue with having low fps on OBS.Live, but high ingame while trying to stream rainbow six siege. I play on a 1440p 144hz gsync monitor (i disabled gsync), and I downscale my output to 1600x900. I stream 60fps. PC: 1080, i7 8700K, 16GB 3000mhz RAM. Even in the preview (while not pressing start stream/record) I see dropped frames as soon as i tab into the game. I even tried downscaling even more to 720p with no better outcome. This is my latest log file, it says GPU overloaded on the log file analyzer, which is true, because when I tab into siege, GPU in task manager goes all the way up to 99%. If you are having a problem with Apex Legends, the best option is to limit that games FPS with a launch command

If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. I would also argue against using an ultrawide resolution canvas, as that will take more resources, and Twitch restricts to 16:9 anyways, so your output is not going to look too nice

We had our chat integrated but with the newest version obs they did their own version
So we adapted to there chat to not creat errors.
Sadly there chat doesn't support BTTV and the in obs site opening is also something they implemented

With 23.0.0 the chat integration from them will be implemented fully
What we did was tool the chat from there beta build and replaced it
So could be that there are issues with it? BUT you could wait for 23.0.0 probably drops tomorrow or next week see if the issues stays

@keen citrus Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding +fps_max 60 to the game's launch properties in Origin.

Hmm. Try closing out OBS.Studio with the Display Capture Open then Open OBS.Studio again to see if it applies the Display Capture.
That's what I do when OBS.Studio doesn't want to show my Display Capture.

you will most likely need to go into your nvidia control panel > 3d settings > global, and set it to prefer using the nvidia GPU. Right now OBS is running off the nvidia GPU, but your display is most likely running off the intel integrated graphics

Right click your desktop and open nvidia control panel, or open it from system tray. Then in the 3d settings tab, there will be global options, there will be one about the prefered graphics adapter (sorry i dont know the exact name and dont have a system to verify the name) it should be set to something like automatic, you will need to specify the nvidia gpu, and reboot the system. For OBS to capture a display, the display and OBS need to be running on the same gpu

OBS is not capturing the display for the exact reason I said, the dispaly and OBS are running on different GPUs, its how laptops manage power saving

I'm trying to change my bot name in obs.live. i followed the pinned video but after i login to its twitch account, another window pops open to login to streamelements. so i log in as my bot there, and then close the window, but the custom bot name doesnt change. i successfully was able to change it when i was just running ground control. so i dont know if i'm missing a step? @sullen dome yes, if it's your discord server or you have admin access, then you can link your twitch subs with discord. Anyone subbing to you would get access to a role you can define and get access to the sub emotes on discord. As this is not a question specific to SE you would need to Google that.
Also, I am not aware of a command to reset the points of all users.

You can activate Queue moderation, so the videos get sortered and have to be approved by a moderator or yourself. You can Limit the music with a blacklist or banned tags and filter it with the Auto filter of a rating.

I copy the code to my playlist and when I exit it does not save and goes back to the default playlist provided by StreamElements. I do not see a save button to click. What am I missing?

@atomic cloud I think you have to have your desktop audio umuted to get the alertsound on stream. Otherwise you can try to route the sound differently through your PC, but I can't give support for that, as I don't know how exactly to do this.

I had the chatbot custom name working in the original ground control app. But now that i'm using LIVE I tried adding it in the set custom chatbot name, then clicking connect custom bot account and authorizing it, and it just brings me to the basic streamelements login page after that
So it works in ground control but not in OBS Live for me
Also loyalty points aren't deducting from song requests for me
No just the streamelements bot, in ground control you can make it so you set a twitch account as a bot instead of the default streamelements and it does everything the same
OBS live has that feature as well, so i could uninstall ground control, but it's not connecting the bot for some reason
