The thing you see is most likely from a predefined themed overlay from NoD I assume

@versed tangle i guess it wasnt updated. I too faced the same problem. So i had to open up streamelements website, find the overlay that i used , manually check the sub count and then repost the new link to obs/your streaming platform. Thats what i did

Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

is there a reason that when I try streaming to my youtube channel, I sign in with the correct account, and it streams to the correct channel, but the CHAT account is a DIFFERENT channel i have linked to my email address? example - the Channel I'm streaming to is HeyItsTerry, but the account that I'm chatting with in OBS is HeyitsTerry TV. also, the channel I'm streaming to chat doesn't appear inside of OBS and visa versa

Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
Add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements as a Comment Moderator at https://www.youtube.com/comment_management
When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

You have to add overlays created on your YT account in order to make them play alerts. (overlays are platform specific)

okay, that didn't fix the issue. I'm logged into streamelements through my YT account, I'm on streamelements, I subscribe (using another YT account) to my channel to check if it's working. There is nothing in my activity feed. the activity feed in streamelements should show that someone subbed to my channel regardless if I have an alert box or not. How do I fix that

That isn't the issue, I know this because my 2nd account that I'm using to test out why it isn't working is set to public. I also received several other notifications on my youtube account saying people subbed to me. For some reason, StreamElements isn't picking that up.

Hi! I'm having similar issues as @sturdy echo with my YouTube overlays. People subbed last night (multiple people) and my goals didn't update, my labels didn't update and my hype cup didn't do anything. Also I can't get any of my timers to work except the merch one that was automatically set up... These things all work when I stream on Twitch (the ones I have set up specifically for Twitch, I'm not trying to use Twitch overlays/timers on YT)

hi guys, first time streaming in youtube. everything works fine except my alerts doesn't show up when someone subscribe to me. stream labels doesn't seem to update too. i only tested the stream once an it's unlisted so only my friends and i can check whether the overlays and alerts are okay. any thoughts?

@north shadow Users can choose to make the channels that they subscribe to public or private. By default, all settings are set to private.

Private: When a users subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.
Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

I imported a custom widget made for twitch to my youtube in streamelements....does it automatically grab and update to youtube account alerts/subs/etc? Maybe I need to hire a coder to help me get it buttoned up. Trying to make sure my youtube and facebook values are sent to the widget and update icons to match my stream theme.

@civic spire There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hello everyone, good evening, I have a problem with streamelements, and I don't know if you can help me here, I currently have two streamelements accounts, one using my FB account and the other using my YouTube account, I want to close either of the two but not They leave me, the youtbe one I can't close it because there is no email registered (I don't know why) and the FB one I tried to close it, entering all the data they ask for but when clicking close account the window in which I put the data closes and nothing happens. Private: When a users subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.
Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings>Community, and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements as a Moderator.
When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

So I have been streaming on Twitch for years but wanted to try it out on Youtube. I logged out of Streamelements with my twitch account and then logged in with Youtube, only then did I see the option to 'add channels' so I tried logging back in with my already established twitch account to add my youtube, but now I can't because "it's already claimed." Is there a way to unlink the channel so it can be linked somewhere else, or at least have an option to be like "yeah that was me that claimed it and now I would like to claim it here too"

Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

You are 100% correct about that 3 hours later, I fixed the issue myself. I wasted more time troubleshooting this issue myself than it would've taken to correct it initially. The link www.youtube.com/comment_management no longer works, and sends you to a 404 page. The new working link should be updated to https://studio.youtube.com/?d=sd&sds=community

Hi, this dashboard is always empty. It does not show right information. In todays stream, I got 3 new subs, 2 of them has public privacy ... but alerts did not show up. If I emulate alerts from the overlay editor then it works. Dashboard is not showing any data. I believe it's not able to fetch information from the youtube channel. Can you advice on what might be wrong with the configuration?

Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings>Community, and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements as a Moderator.
When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

please compare the resolution of your overlay in the overlay editor with the resolution specified in the browser source in OBS. The specifications must be the same.

@subtle hill Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

Changing the resolution of an overlay only changes the canvas. It doesn't automatically scale or reposition the widgets.

im having the same issue, my account is always shown as offline and is consistently showing 0 accross all tracked stats (subscribers, members, super chats etc).

The reason the alert test is working is because its not coming from youtube meaning the problem must be between the connections between YouTube and stream elements.

OK so I've bitten the stream bullet and will be streaming some simracing content, Iracing.. Automobilista etc.
Nooob starting from scratch pretty much.

I run triples 5760x1080 using Nvidia Surround so I guess I'm wanting some recommendations for a smooth experience with OBS settings and what scaled down resolution I should aim for...

Tried again. Nothing happened. What I did was open streamelements dashboard, opened my youtube live page from where i can control Live activities, opened my game, and went live from OBS studio. I told my friend to subscribe from another ID and waited but the alert never showed. This time, after your reply, I even downloaded the streamelements Ground control application after re-logging into my dashboard and then instead of keeping the dashboard open, I kept the app open, but nothing changed. No alert popped up.

Start streaming option in stream elements stops automatically as a result the stream gets ended.
Is there any setting which prevents that from happening?
I tried logging out and logging back in so far and also checked the timer to end the stream after 8 hours but it gets ended after an hour or two randomly. Thanking you in advance for your support 🙂
