So I have a question...I have my own overlays that I made but if I want to go full screen the window capture or video capture blocks my widgets from coming up. I know I have to move the overlay to the front but then I loose the video or window capture. How do I stream full screen and still have widgets/alerts pop up? Does the window capture have to be added to the overlay when I make it? If so how do I do that?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Install OBS without letting it run after completion.
Install SE.Live and run after finishing (No need to check the OBS option).

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

I used to be able to see followers, subs, etc next to the stream preview window on OBS, but it closed somehow. Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

open the devs tools panel (F12)

Emulate the alert

Check the console section and it should say "se-widget-alertbox 1: playing URL"

Right click the link, click open in new tab.

1. You don't need a game capture and Display capture in the same scene. It's often best to just use a display capture vs a game capture as some clients don't play nice and use different names that OBS won't capture.

2. if you have multiple monitors, make sure you have the monitor that will be displaying your game selected

I get audio when I use elgato's recording app (the app is so bad though) so nothing is wrong with the capture card.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3. Stop your stream/recording.

Okay well i think i know the issue.

1. the size of the chat box is the full size of the board (1920x1080) So the chat appears in the bottom left of the overlay and will require the browser source to be set at 1920x1080. Without it, it won't appear at all.

2. I recommend adjusting the size of the chat box (I believe they heard our suggestion for resolution and made the chat box exactly that) to something smaller. The base canvas is defaulted to 1920x1080 so there is no need to have the widget that size

3. Streamelements bot is blocked from showing but they are not. I tested and was able to see my message.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

There isn't really an easy way to add them to the allow list, but you can disable this by going to revenue > Tipping settings > tipping settings > Tip moderation

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Well think of it like this, present a stream that you would enjoy. Don't look at the numbers or you'll just beat yourself up. Care about the presentation and execution of your stream. Once you're happy with what you're doing on stream, then others will come. It's best to have a stream that you're happy with rather than a stream that makes everyone but you happy.

There is slight overhead with each overlay loaded, but unless you're loading a dozen or more overlays (or have an older/slower computer) it shouldn't be a noticeable impact.

you may have changed the base canvas for your stream. Go to File > Settings > Video and then make sure your canvas is set to 1920x1080
