Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

  1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
  2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
  3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

if tipping moderation is currently turned on in the tipping settings, then any name that has "ass" in them will be censored in all alerts - subs, cheers, tips, etc.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Steps to make a command trigger sound on stream:

  1. Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
  2. Add an item that has these settings on it:
  • Stream Perk
  • Loyalty settings to your desire
  • (Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
  • "Redeeming this item shows an alert
  • Redemable via chat
  • Skip Requirements
  1. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
  2. Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot-commands/custom-commands
  3. Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
  4. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
  5. Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
  6. Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

Hello,
I recently changed my Twitch username and since then I had problems with SE.
Indeed, subs, bits, etc are not recorded in the event history and alerts won't trigger as well.
I tried disconnecting SE from Twitch connections and log back to SE, did not work. I also tried resetting my personal token, didn't work either.

Do I have to close my account to create a new one?

reported the issue to the devs. There is a duplicate account with the same name and most likely twitch released the name and you took it but our system is confusing both accounts

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hey guys i have a webcam here i just ordered. Aoboco streaming webcam. Im having trouble getting my camera to appear on my streaming platform twitch. It only appears my broadcast viewer tab when im streaming. I know my webcam is compatibile. I have N xbox one s. The os version for the webcam is 10.0.18362.2018

My webcam works great on skype. Simply by plugging in the camera to the xbox usb port. I dont have a computer or laptop to plug my webcam into to stream.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello there, I'm currently setting up all my Alerts with streamelements. I'm done with 5 and wanted to create the 6th which is the cheer. I've set it exactly like the others, but it won't overwrite the standards of streamelemts (It doesn't change the text, image and sound). If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Hi, I need help with image rotator slideshow in overlays. Can the transitions between pictures be longer than 1 second?

Under the settings, you can control how long the image shows for and says that it includes 1 second for the intro and outro animation.

But under the animation settings, it says you can set the intro and outro to however long you want (2, 3, etc. seconds). But this doesn't seem to have any effect.

It's saying that if you're using OBS Studio, you should be able to select an overlay in your source list and hit CTRL+F and have it stretch to fill the entire canvas automatically.

Otherwise, you can go into OBS Video Settings, set your Base Canvas Resolution to 1920x1080 (like the overlays all are), and then scale the output up to match your monitor's resolution. That may or may not make your gameplay screen blurry, though...

@keen wigeon so a couple hours ago, I was streaming on twitch through my xbox and laptop and everything was great. The interface I had was web-based and was easy to use and understand. I shut off my stream for dinner, went to get back on and it wouldn't start. I ended having to install some updates I guess, but now instead of the web-based platform that I would see, It shows up under obs which I don't understand and it's no longer capturing my USB camera that I have been using.

I had it downloaded but never opened it. I tried to use stream Labs at first but it's extremely confusing. A friend told me to try streamelements, I downloaded it and it was super easy to use. So anytime I wanted to stream, I would log into twitch on my xbox and hit start broadcasting, it would be sent to lightstream, I would then open up stream elements on my laptop, the web based platform would show up, I would open twitch on my laptop and everything was great and worked right away. Now I can stream my game to twitch but it won't pick up my camera and it's a completely different platform, cuz it puts me directly into obs (which I have no idea how to use) I just want to stream, have a dono link on there and see people when they sub to me and send bits, and be able to see the chat.

I recommend you double-check what exactly doesn't work the next time something breaks, and make sure to turn to whoever is in charge of that tool - probably lightstream.

Well, I mean, I went in and set the web source in my OBS to start. Then I went into the settings and I was just trying to set up a proof of concept so I had it playing an applause clip, with the option for channel logo when not in the VIP list, and just the basic test text for the overlay. I even changed the trigger command thinking it might be a bad interaction with other shoutout commands, but when I try to simulate an event, nothing happens. When I use the trigger command with my own username in OBS, nothing happens.

it seems you might be trying to use the mobile overlay, which I don't think should work
I've created a default alertbox for you in the unnamed overlay, and renamed the overlay to 'alertbox'

People answer when they have time to answer, local support is more difficult to have people around every time, unfortunately. But I checked your message there (using google translate) and probably you have variation alerts on the alert type you are changing. Click on "Variation Settings" and check if there is anything in there, so you can disable them temporarily if you want.

hi, changing the bot name to my streamer name does not work, when keeping the SE bot my commands work, when changing to my account it doesn't. i tried it using OBS.Live, sending a test message with my account as the bot results in SE bot saying "reporting for duty! custom bot name enabled", but not sending a test message from my account

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Hi I have a friend who is a streamer and he seems to be having a problem doing giveaways using your system, each time a viewer puts in an entry for a ticket so for example !ticket 1000 an error would show up saying that viewer doesn't have the points to claim that 1000 tickets, yet when they go !points it says they have heaps of points.

then set a timer (https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot-timers) with this response:

that seems to work wonderfully to randomly assign points to random users

Due to resetting of Hard drive i have lost all progress on my sub goal and now the goal shows 0 of 75 . I am not sure how to fix this . I have tried all of the settings in StreamElements dashboard and cannot change the amount i have . Im using the Glitch Widget.
