The main text works perfectly, but the bottom one is always centered, I noticed that when I make custom sub-message that is longer than one line, it works. It is only centered when it is very short message. Is it any way to make short messages aligned to left as well?

I have some problems with my overlays that I have duplicated. They seem to override eachother in OBS. When I change something in overlay #1 it also changes in its copy on overlay #2. The urls are diffrent but it still copies the one that I changed in. Is it a way around this or am I doing something wrong?

@median mauve If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

• Ground Control does not have Custom Bot name
• Subscriber count will count the Channel and any other permanent sub you may have (+1 or +2 or +3 on top).

so Im working on new alerts in streamelements, but my text is all messed up for gifted subs and bits. for the bits, its stuck at the top and cuts off about half the text and for the gifted subs it's stuck vertical. The windows on the left are white, I have to agree to my own chat's rules, my Twitch dashboard layout gets reset, I have to click through my own channel's Mature Audiences message... it's really difficult

I am not trying to cut in on this question, but I was reading through all this info since I am having what it sounds like a similar problem. My bot was working about 2-3 days ago and now no commands work and can't get it to do anything.
I have relogged, cleaned out files and signing back in, I've clicked for it to part and join channel and also have doubled checked on to make sure it had mod status, nothing is getting !commands or any other commands to work as it did a couple days ago. I have an api example that will work for more simple code, but it's limited by the command length and not really the best way to go about it. Close all the of OBS clients and use the streamelemets icon, this will open the obs as well so you wont need 2 clients open.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Account Merging - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

you should be able to make adjustments by going to the modules tab under bot on the main dashboard and sliding chat alerts bar on

after that you can open it up and select what you want it to say

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

If the alert needs to be a different size, then you would have to make those edits outside the overlay editor. You could try messing with the advanced settings inside the overlay editor, but that might not work they way you want it to.

Works just fine in a browser and everything. The version is the most up to date one? I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it

I did a test stream a few minutes ago to see if that would change anything but I got the same results. Here's what my "dashboard" looks like. got the activity window open in bottom right and media request working bottom left. I checked for updates and it said I had the latest and greatest

I set up a new overlay, added an alertbox, and didnt change any settings from the defaults. When I click on emulate, they all only last about 1 second (not the default 10 second duration) with the exception of the cheer alert, which lasts as long as the sound lasts but still not the full 10 seconds. Do you know what could be going on there? Im completely new to this

is the activity feed added from the streamelements menu? can you try integrating the activity feed window inside OBS right next to the preview? I'm just trying to see if something like this could fix it since I just tested the stream deck plugin myself and its working on my end

no dice unfortunately. I closed the window, and used the Streamelements drop down menu to add it back, and then pulled it into the preview window. Even reset the session data just for kicks and giggles, Still got the stream deck saying the widgets offline

Chat stats are not working, it says NO DATA. Also tried to logout from SE and TWITCH and reinstall the widget.
Points are working perfectly but I have problem with chat stats.

Does anyone know if there is a way to have a video element in an overlay be shown or hidden based on whether or not a giveaway is active? its how i fixed it, by disabling all the different variations, so it only used one alert the base one no matter the size of the cheer

Ever since hitting affiliate the streamer I mod for has been having issues. The Set title command sends back an error message in chat, the dashboard says 23 subs but the ${channel.subs} variable says 0, and now all commands are not working.

@graceful totem Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.

I can, the custom count variable allows you to set a step amount. ${count <name> +<step>}
the example is ${count deaths +2}
I want to pass a variable in for the step number ${count deaths +${1}}
as the bot works now when I run the command it returns the whole thing as a string

Im working on new alerts in streamelements, but my text is all messed up for gifted subs and bits. for the bits, its stuck at the top but only for 1k bits and above and for the gifted subs it's vertical. @chilly ridge If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

So you have the audio set to output to your streams, can you hear them if you play back the stream? The audio may need to be raised either in the editor or in OBS.
