My gifted sub leaderboard for 1st and 2nd place shows the same account (2 different names after a name switch). So the second place has the sub amount up to when the name was changed, then the first place shows the new name with the full total. Any way this can be fixed so the 2nd place name no longer shows bc it’s already accounted for in the first one?

@midnight plaza If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

This would be your OBS audio settings. You'll need to make sure your OBS is set to capture the same audio device your browser source is playing out of.

i'm trying to use a custom font for an alert, which i have done before with no issues! but sadly the name of the font im trying to use this time has a "+" in it and streamelements seems to not display the "+" in the "pick a font" box when i type it in the "custom font family" box, so it doesn't recognize the font because it's not seeing the "+". im not sure what to do. i've tried to install a few programs to change the font's name but none of them have worked :/ is there any workaround for this?

2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings

4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

@lament blade Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

My gifted sub leaderboard for 1st and 2nd place shows the same account (2 different names after a name switch). So the second place has the sub amount up to when the name was changed, then the first place shows the new name with the full total. Any way this can be fixed so the 2nd place name no longer shows bc it’s already accounted for in the first one?

yes - the extension has its own settings where you can hide specific names. Simply go to the extension page in Twitch -> my extensions -> cogwheel on our extension -> add the name that should not be there in the ignore list

Custom bot name requirements

• StreamElements bot modded and in chat
• Active overlay with alerts
• StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

@jagged kernel you can use OBS.Live only, because the Ground Control has the same functions (fewer functions than the OBS.Live). And if you have the custom bot name service active in both apps, the system (chatbot) can send duplicate information to your chat.

@jagged kernel If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins is blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in an incognito tab.

Just for the record, your case had to do with the system being unable to maintain authentication of the custom bot name (streamer name), even after having done the "debug" procedure. However, after re-authorizing with Twitch (automatic connection), in the OBS > Settings > Stream tab, then, we went to the OBS.Live settings to activate the custom bot name with the streamer's name and the system authorized the use of your name in the bot.

i have an alertbox that uses a webm file to be reactive. this is set up as a layer in SE. when i try to resize the alertbox, it is not actually scaling, but acting as a sort of layer resize. this tells me something is telling the alertbox the dimensions of it and its respective webm in absolute terms. problem is, in 'settings,' it strictly has sub-customization options for each available alert type -- i do not see any global level customization that actually scales. 'position, size, and style' section behaves just like a scaling attempt via cursor: fruitless

Hey everyone! I was looking at the StreamElements Leaderboard in the panels and under Cheers - All Time. The person that donated the most seemed to have their name removed for some reason? This is for first place. It looks like the 2nd place is now first. Any reason for why his name would be removed? On the Revenue History page on the website, if you click Top Cheers, the top donator's name does show up as top donator. I'm not sure why his name is not appearing on the leader board. Any ideas on how to fix that?

Hey there. I could use some help with watchtime command. It returns 0 seconds for all users and when i go to the streamelements dashboard there is no option to part the bot and then join bot and thats the only idea i had for fixing

@sudden sentinel 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Channel A Chat command being triggered -> third party location catching the command -> 3rd party poking into our API to extract the points from Channel B -> 3rd party poking again into the API to place points in Channel B -> 3rd party replies in Channel A chat.

Not sure what other system you are referring, but all this needs to be processed outside, via access to our API

hey guys, short question: if i want to set a command and the bot should reply with an emote, do i have to set something special? cause the bot sends the emote code, but it doesnt show the emote itself

the Twitch stream chat box that opens when i log into the OBS Live add-on sets itself to as light mode - i go into the Non-Mod settings and change it to dark mode in the "My Preferences" section( see image), when i close OBS Studio and it reopens with my Twitch account auto logged in the chat box goes back to being light mode - is this by design or should "My Preference" have stayed?

My overlay plays custom follow alert sfx just fine, but today I've added my first redeemable store item sound effect, and although the visual alert for store redemption is working, I am not hearing the sound effect played.

EDIT: I got mine fixed 🙂 The redeem alert needs to be enabled on the overlay, even if you don't want to display anything

I changed the password to my chat bot account last week and can't get it to connect to my chat again through ground control even after doing all the steps over. Tipping page is set up (and in panels) and the SE bot is in my channel and modded. I was hoping logging out and into ground control would help but it didn't
