hey there, hope you're all well. I'm kinda new to SE and recently got a tip through my SE tip page but its on hold because its expecting some delivery information or confirmation that delivery isn't required and then it still will take 7 days to clear. I'm not sure why there is a wait as it was just a tip. I received a tip through my Ko-Fi page and that went through immediately with no holds.

Could someone please assist me with how to clear the SE tips without having to log into Paypal each time to manually expediate them?

@glacial charm If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

1. Click on your Channel Name at the top of the dashboard and select Settings
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

There is currently an issue with OBS.Live custom bot name, and also the chat bot. When I change the name of chatbot to something custom, it stops working. I have parted the chat bot with my channel and reconnected, that does not help. The chat bot works some days, and doesn't other days.

Hey, hope you're all well. I'm using SE Tips with Paypal and I'm having to manually edit each payment to say that there is no product to be sent, then wait 7 days for it to clear. I've been told I should take this up with paypal but the issue doesn't happen with tips from other providers like SL or Ko-Fi. I'd like to continue using SE but I really don't want to be fobbed off to Paypay for something that is clearly an issue that should be addressed by SE. Can someone please give me some advice that isn't either a) take it up with paypal or b) switch to SL :/

ok, volunteer is cool, but when you don't know the actual answer to something, its ok to say "I don't know" and to forward the issue to an actual tech or support staff member. I've spoken to Paypal and asked about the differences between the donations being sent to my account from SL, Ko-Fi and SE and the paypal rep stated that it has to do with the way the SE form sends the info to Paypal. I totally appreciate the hard work you do as a volunteer but I'd really appreciate an official answer from SE that either states that they don't recommend using a standard Paypal account and that only a Business Account will work without issues (paypal already told me that the type of account would have no effect on the need for a delivery address or confirmation of "no product to be sent" for each individual tip) or an idea of if/when they'll be able to make the changes to the way the SE form works so that such individual attention to each tip will not be needed.

@sterile python If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@modern sierra There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the Dev team is investigating.
In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings)

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

@strong willow 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

@hoary wave If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello. Im new to this discord. I just downloaded stream elements mobile app for doing irl streams to twitch. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get text to speech so i dont have to look at my mobile every couple seconds

Does there happen to be anyone else having issues with custom bot names not working? A channel I mod for is having issues with their custom bot not attaching to the bot.

@woeful juniper If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@thorny vector This is a local issue with something on your computer preventing the page from loading. Check browser extensions, check firewall, etc.

We can only provide general guidance. We don't know what you have on your computer.

@dire mango The bot does not need to be subscribed to use commands, just to use your emotes. As long as it's a moderator, it's fine.

I feel like my ip may be blocked on your end. I have had issues with my pc before. it would send out thousands of requests from obs to Pixel. they had to unblock it manually

@dire mango Again: if it's a mod, it will work. It does not need to be subscribed to your channel to use commands.
If it is not a mod, and you've set it to Follower Only or Subscriber Only chat, then that would be a problem.

It is a moderator. But none of the commands were working. Once someone gifted the sub to it, it started functioning normally....
