Yo! so I got a problem. I have two different alert layouts for OBS. One of them has donos and followers on it and the other one has subs, hosts, raids and cheers. However, for some reason the one labelled "other alerts" doesn't alert me on stream. The reason I have it set it up like this is because the resolution for "other alerts" is different from the dono and follower alerts. And If I had them all in the same overlay, the "other alerts" would show up smaller. The way I have it set it atm, allows me to resize the smaller alerts in OBS to the size I want, without it affecting the follower and dono alerts. Can someone help me figure out why they don't work?

You need two browser sources in OBS for what you've currently got set up.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

And I'm aware that I can have two alertboxes in one overlay, however, in SE you can't resize the resolution of the actual file, you can only resize the canvas and bounding box of the file. But for example, my host alert is 1200x600, if I give it a bounding box of 1080x1920 then it still remains the original 1200x600 resolution

okay so if the hosts don't get alerted, why not just take that option off the alertbox settings? Also it doesn't explain why raids don't pop up

Because live hosts with viewers will still show up.

But if your community is just typing /host or /raid in their channels whenever you go online, it won't show.

But raids and hosts from actual streamers who just ended their stream will show.

If you have an alertbox with the host and raid alert enabled and it's added as a browser source to your OBS and it works in emulation then you might have had a one-time mishap. Did you see the raid on your activity feed on StreamElements?

Well, Twitch picks up everything so if Twitch didn't pick it up then StreamElements can't pick it up and that's why your alert did not play.

Filter out everything except raids.

@idle rampart Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

1. Click on your Channel Name at the top of the dashboard and select Settings
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So I've got variations set up for tons of different cheer amounts. I recently went from having 6 different alerts that can play from 1-24 bits, to 10. (10% chance to play each one) Ever since I did that, those alerts will now play even if someone cheers anything over 25 bits. I have other variations that hit at 25, 50, 100, etc, and it always stayed within those parameters until I upped the 1-24 bits to 10 different alerts lol

heya... i was streamin a DJ set last night when it crashed mid-stream. i was running VDJ, SoundSwitch and Ecamm. I'm on a 16" MBP 64GB RAM, 8GB video card i9. Power shouldn't be the issue. After about an hour or so, audio began crackling. Stream began getting choppy. Everything crashed. A friend said he experienced the same issue and identified Stream Elements Alerts as an issue. And I did have alerts setup. Who can I speak to to dive into this? I'm reaching out to each softare developer to identify the cause. I simply can't be streaming and having crashes. any help would be great.

When i stream normally, my Game/Discord connection is perfectly fine, but out of no where OBS will start to lag and i drop frames. But the weirder issue is with my game/discord connection stays the same.

My Settings are 1080p60, at a 6k Bitrate. I had been using the same settings forever now and i have never had any issues up until now. I have contacted my ISP, and they said there is nothing wrong with the connection. I've also have all my drivers up to date.

@little sun If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@lament blade If you changed your name on Twitch please follow these steps:
🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@lament blade There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the Dev team is investigating.
In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings)

@lament blade the !roulette command should be enabled, one of its aliases is gamble. Should work both as !roulette and !gamble,
and you can set it up in your SE dashboard under BOT > Chat Commands > Default Commands

Hi guys I'm still not 100% sure how you share overlays with others so that they can install them someone said editor access but I don't know if thats the right thing as I don't want them in my account i want them to be able to click a link and install my overlay

hey! so, a few days ago I reported that people liked to unfollow me, then immediately re-follow so that their name pops up on stream again, and was told that it shouldn't happen, that the alert shouldn't pop up if someone that had already appeared in the activity feed re-followed. Yet it still happens to me to this day,, is there a way to finally fix it?

widget data will not be correlated, and do note that the link itself is sensitive information so I'd be careful with whom I share it

@inner epoch those are only gives on very rare occasions. You need to have special permission for that and it requires a background check. So for now this is the best way to go:

@inner epoch Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

1. Click on your Channel Name at the top of the dashboard and select Settings
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

Ok I've scoured the internet and apparently the dock I'm missing is called "Twitch stats" Is no longer anywhere on obs.live and the "view" menu doesn't get it. It would show current viewers and subs / followers. Login/out from obs doesn't bring it back. Any idea?

If so you should be able to see it in View > Docks > Twitch Stats
When not logged in it doesn't show

When you open the 'StreamElements' drop down in OBS.Live, do you see the last option as 'Login' or 'Logout'?

Actually got a question of my own... so from what I understand when using the Link Protection the bot will timeout (and thus remove all messages from) that user... is there a way to only delete that one message with the link?
I would do it with Twitch AutoMod but Twitch apparently does not have the money to implement a link filter that isn't shit (i.e. not one that blocks everything). Filtered links don't go into Automod queue, they just don't appear at all -.-
