that's right, i want to create a new overlay, with the background of the "be right back" overlay, but without the text. I don't intend on using it outside stream elements, i just like the animated background and wish to use it for an overlay that's not "be right back", without that brb text.

One really good example of why would one get the background alone, is when you're broadcasting two windows at the same time, one taking like 60% of the screen, aligned on the top left, and one taking 40%, aligned on the bottom right, and appearing slightly on top, dunno if that make sense, i can do a quick image to illustrate what i'm saying

Hi there, I am thinking about switching over to StreamElements donations if I can make Timers to display Donation Goals in Chat something like Streaming Gear Goal {count StreamingGear +{donations-from-some day}}/300. So the main question comes to is there a way to get total amount of donations received from specific day and increment that number. I am even wiling to use custom bot if needed. I can write bot myself if that donation api endpoint provides me total amount instead of each donation from specific date

Lower the bitrate - you don't need 6k bitrate for 720p streaming

There are 2 more things that come to mind.

  1. The video files being 1920x1080 squished can be affected to be laggy on OBS - meaning it would be good if you can lower their resolution, since you are making the alert widget smaller in size
  2. Provide a log file from when the alerts are laggy.

So I am having this issue with OBS Studio 24.0.3 version, I know might not be the place, but when I use the animated overlays provided by Streamelements on my OBS, even if the browser source scene is not active on the stream, my CPU skyrockets in usage therefor decreasing the stream quality.   • "Redeeming this item shows an alert
  • Redemable via chat
  • Skip Requirements
  1. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
  2. Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
  3. Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
  4. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
  5. Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
  6. Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

Custom Fonts

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

@smoky flame 1080p is not really realistic for twitch due to the bitrate needed for most games (especially fortnite). Best bet would be to do 900p with 4500 max bitrate.

It could be because they’re still subscribed (grace period) and the resin increments the count because it’s counting as a sub and when it reads existing subs it reverts to the correct number
