Last night's stream was pretty empty (I'm just starting out), besides myself and the Streamelements bot, there were no other chatters on my stream, yet the Stats emailed to me by SE after the stream listed "6 Unique Chatters for this stream"...

Having a problem with sub alerts not showing up on obs also not showing up in my activity feed.

Had 3 subscriptions last night. The first one (Prime Sub) showed up but the next two didn't have an alert and are not showing up in my activity feed.

I use streamlabs alert widgets for the notifications and has worked fine in the past. They should at least show up in my activity feed on streamelements right? Talked to both subs to make sure they shared it and it was not on private. Their subs show in my streamlabs activity feed but not streamelements. Is there a fix to this?

I have individual alert boxes for each alert animation, and then an alertbox for each text, so I can place them how I like. They will start from a random point in time in the animation as if the alert is looping when it's not active.

Just a follow-up question, how come you need a new account to be able to rename the bot but you can't rename the account you use as main, how does the software know which one is main and not?

@rose canopy the reason is the account you login becomes the bot this is why you need to login for the software to recognise which account you're using for the rename

for example I couldn't make the software have Jamesbot for the rename if that account does not exist on twitch

There needs to be a step-by-step for the Custom Bot Name setup.
So many people I've read are confused and I only got it going after a random comment gave the step-by-step.

-Activate Bot and donation link on your main account through SE website.
-DL Ground Control
-Make a twitch account with the name you want for your bot and stay logged into it until later
-Go to settings in Ground Control and at the bottom you'll see Custom Bot
-Generate oauth token (it takes the token from the twitch browser currently logged in)
-Paste token into Ground Control
-Now you can log back into your main account in twitch
-Restart Ground Control and give it a minute.
-Now it should be working

So let's say I have a 5 chat lines, and the commands at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 minutes. Normallly that would mean every 5 minutes a command after the 5 chatlines have been met. But, while the 20 minute timer is running, the 5 minute timer could restart because the chat limit has been reached again.

You simply go into the overlay editor and you can resize the alert box there. You can also test your alerts to see what they will look like so you don’t have to mess with sizes. If your alert box is larger than the browser source in obs then simply adjust the resolution of your obs source to match

Well I can resize the alert box in the web editor, but you resize it on a 1900x1080 overlay, so if I'm correct I'd need to make my OBS browser source 1900x1080 as well in order for it to show up correctly?

The overlay should always be added at 1920x1080 so your images/alerts etc are the correct size since the overlay editor displays as 1920x1080

@zenith widget I did follow these as many others did but nowhere does it say you have to be logged in to the twitch bot account before generating aouth token, which is where many failed.
I'm not angry, just stating that it could be more clear or user friendly.
The video is using the SE inside OBS Live which many did not know was equivalent to Ground Control.
For people using Ground Control, it's a lot trickier than for the ones doing it through obslive.
However, if I had known you didn't need Ground Control it would have been much easier, but that's on me for not reading that part, most tutorials use GC. 🙂

so you need, if you can still re-render your alert - remove the green background and have it transparent

then render in a .webm file

and then you have a smoke effect with transparent backgrund

theres no chroma key option on the overlay editr.

Hi, back again sorry. I'll give full context: I have 2 different overlays with each a different redemption widget. (So I can switch to the one I want by showing and hiding browser sources in OBS). Both have a different image and TTS voice. When I test my second one in the overlay editor, it works, and it shows up correctly in OBS as well. However when someone redeems points, it shows the wrong image (the one I use in the other overlay), but it does use the right voice? It's also showing the wrong image in the overlay editor when an actual alert is triggered

Can I have someone DM me please? I'm having issues with my alert box. The text isn't doing the exiting animation. I have it set to slide in from the right, then slide out from the same side. It does the entering animation, but the text then disappears before it does the exiting animation.

It also doesn't matter which animation I use, none of the exiting ones work for me.

Just made the entire alert 8 seconds long, and put both animation entry and exit to 2 seconds, and it still didn't do the exit.

It does it for every alert, and every animation I've ever put on them. I once made an entirely customized alert box on here, and it just kept doing it, so I deleted it and stuck with Stream Labs. yeah i get that, my issues is that if you all put it at the same time they all go off at the same time. and not one every 20 minutes. if i space out every messages by 20 minutes what ends up happening is that the last message would be set on every 60 minutes which obviously doesn't help.

My question is how do you reliably make each timer pop up with a set interval just like SL Chatbot does. is that even a possibility in SE ?

I believe the timers system is being updated in the future but there's no ETA. For now you could achieve this with some customapi: https://thefyrewire.com/docs/api/twitch/paste-library/#looping-stream-info - basically you can keep all your responses in one place and have a single timer which walks through each response at a fixed interval

Yeah so lets say the 5 lines of chat are met, it would start a 20 minute timer. the posts the first timer in the list. The 20 minutes go off again and checks for chat lines if met it posts the second timer in the list.

I do NOT want to use the Overlay feature on stream elements as I have custom filters on stuff the streamelements overlay thing can't do
