So I am setting up KappaGen for Twitch, however its having some issues trying to reach the edge of the screen, the right and the top sections seem to be where it struggles the most. Do I configure this issue in StreamElements overlay OR do I configure this in OBS, if so what I do to correct this? Thank you 🙂

Have you made the overlay and the widget size the same as the screen size in OBS? Then you can set the emote duration on screen up, to have the emotes longer on screen and make them go higher when choosen the Bubble animation.

I have them on random, when I made OBS the same size as the overlay from StreamElements, it didn't work. i also made sure to change the emote settings to full screen in hopes for that to work. I may just have to tinker it with some more, cause making it the double the size worked for me

The mod can on the one side use on the one side some default commands to control the MR.
The other possibilitie would be to grant them one of three permission levels on your dashboard. But at the moment there is no setting to let them only see the MR.

Hi, I've noticed that my alerts for Extra Life haven't recovered after the DDoS that hit the donor drive servers yesterday- but I'm seeing other services working, that seem to imply that the API is marginally functional.

I had to make an emergency streamlabs alert to run during the rest of my stream today since they weren't running at all from streamelements.
I had reached out to someone here about it much earlier today and jujst haven't heard anything about it since.

Regarding Nerd or Die alerts, you do not want to import them from Streamlabs. Nerd or Die includes separate instructions for installing in StreamElements.
Our platforms are coded differently, so importing is not effective.

Hey! So Ive set up TTS for every possible thing on SEOBS and it works every everything EXCEPT bits TTS. Is this a known issue? Is there something separate or special I have to do for bits that I didnt have to for donations, subs, resubs? It doesnt work when someone ACTUALLY donates bits and it also doesnt work in the dashboard test section also but it does for everything else. Thanks for the help!!

So what's the go with duplicating overlays?There is no variations in the link and unfortunately, I don't want to start a whole new overlay with setting up settings etc, when its already been done previous.Why is the whole process so convulted and why does it not have a slight code variation from one duplication to the next?

The link doesn't have a number variation, for some reason, let's say I duplicated overlay 1 and that made an exact copy and its now overlay dupe 1, overlay dupe 1 has had alerts and other things repositioned right, for some reason because the links are the same, dupe 1's overlay repositions are applying that to overlay 1

Hi there - I am creating a second overlay and have added the AlertBox Widget. I successfully changed all videos, fonts etc to my liking and it's almost playing well:
Only the Cheer alert won't update. The changes are saved and displayed on in the Editor, but when I hit Emulate Cheer Event, it plays the default animation + font which ships with the AlertBox in the first place.
Even if I clear the video and sound, it will continue showing the default video animation....
Anyone came across this before? Best way to fix it?

Unfortunately also plays the default (non-customized) animation with the cheer varations.
I've even added an entirely new Alert Box right now and cleared the default video.. and it's still showing.

If you want to have the TTS be made later than you would enter there a number. I am not sure if there is a way to make it start earlier.

Got it .. mh - seems it was taking a 10 second delay from earlier and didn't hook up the 0 I've put in there.. So I've deleted the entry entirely and it works now instantly (voice kicks in directly).. Thank you @twin sentinel 🙂

Hello! I just reached affiliate and got some subs, but the alerts didnt show in stream. I got the notification via my chat and activity feed, but the alerts didnt trigger. I was able to do a test one on the overlay editor and that worked in stream, but when someone actually subbed or cheered it didnt work. Any idea how I can fix this?

Hello everyone, I was just guided from Twitter to here on the Discord. How can I share my OBS Log from last night? As I had to restart the stream a few times. I have this problem for the last streams. Everything seems fine and then at some point my OBS shows KB/s in the red and then quickly goes down to 0 KB/s at which point I appear offline for my watchers! All while my internet was totally fine at that moment. I am not sure what is causing this, but I can's stream like this with fear at any time it go down to 0 kb/s again... In fact I restarted my PC yesterday after the stream went down 2x in a row...
Is there any way to downgrade the OBS version? As it seems to be happening more and more with each new version. 😦

Anyone else having issues with Hypecup variations for Cheers? Go to Hypecup widget, select Cheers cog, Add Variation, add anything... shows "Successfully created variation" but nothing is actually added in the list.

It does seem to add them, because they show up when triggered, but there is no way to edit or delete... since it's not in the list of Variations.

aside from that you could do a test stream then provide a log after about 1 minute

I am moving over from a different bot, and I have some very specific commands for certain users - is there anyway to do it in StreamElements - Not for the groups (Though these will be useful) - but commands for a single user only?

You can keep all your responses in a single paste. If the commands are more complex (require variables/dynamic responses) then it's probably worth using a separate paste, but otherwise this works fine.
If I give you the paste set up and the command syntax you should be able to deduce what's going on:

Sorry, did a sound effect in the stream store, but the cooldown is 1200s. I tried resetting it to 1s, but I think the old cooldown is still running.

If the cooldown is activated, it has to be run down before the new cooldown can be activated and the sound effect used again with 1s cooldown then.

Hello! Is there a way to setup a supermod, or mod level command or something where you can "talk to text" at the streamer if needed? For example, a food & drink streamer who has her back turned to chat and ask the mod a question, a way to respond?

Ok. I'm back for round 2 of trying OBS with StreamElements. My last log showed that My CPU and GPU were overwhelmed. But I have an i5-6500, 3.2Ghz, 16GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GTX 1060. Should that be enough?

If you have no idea what you are doing, I do not recommend to use the advanced settings. The normal simple settings are mostly enough to setup a stream.

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.
(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

Follow the steps requested in the analysis. Dropped frames are not caused by OBS or StreamElements. It is your internet connection.

As a side note, while I update my drivers. I have a second PC that I have thought about using for streaming. Is it as simple as running OBS and StreamElements on both and connecting over the network?

Best to google dual PC setup for streamign and read a bit and watch YT tutorials. There is an NDI plugin you can send data via network. I cannot help here really, as I do not own a dual PC setup, just know that there are coming problems like alert audio routing and other things you need to look out for.

Also, when I update my video drivers, it doesn't tell me to reboot. Should I always reboot after a driver update? Or is that no longer necessary?

I personally would always reboot after such a driver update and till now I was thinking that the driver was asking for the reboot itslef.

Not sure. I cannot suggest you your best settings. It is on you to play around with the settings you know with what they are doing and maybe use the autoconfiguration tool for a first idea on how they should be.

Ok. Started Fortnite. Worked fine. Then launched OBS. System went to a crawl. Fortnite lagged even in the menus. Hadn't started a game yet. Then started the stream. OBS went between 30fps and 6FPS, hanging around 11FPS or so. Very laggy.

So. I love the layout, theme, and options of OBS with StreamElements, but it demands WAY MORE resources than Streamlabs OBS. I have heard so many opinions that say OBS is less intensive, and that StreamElements' web interface uses less CPU. but you can see by my logs, that is not the case. Any ideas?

They can either use the !songrequest/!sr command with the YT video in chat, or use the website to request a song.
