I asked a very similar question last night and this is what I got a a response, and it works perfectly.

Steps to make a command trigger sound on stream:

1. Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
2. Add an item that has these settings on it:

• Stream Perk
• Loyalty settings to your desire
• (Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
• "Redeeming this item shows an alert
• Redemable via chat
• Skip Requirements

3. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
4. Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
5. Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
6. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
7. Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
8. Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound
9. ???
10. Profit in viewer interaction and that dosh

Hey question, I have been using streamlabs obs for awhile now and recently made the switch to this OBS. I use streamelements browser source for my overlays. When I stream or record I am not getting consistent 60fps. I have the exact same settings as streamlabs and with streamlabs i was getting a steady 60fps no issues. Would the problem be in the browser source?

Guys i work it out. It works with stream shop. Add item to the stream shop, make it stream perks, add cooldowns if needed, also a price. -1 to amount for infinite. Next all is needed is a gif or video. If they don't have a sound it can be added below. Next. On your overlay add widget store redemption. If video is size of your screen, resize widget to be full screen and choose "text over the image" if you want it full screen. Also, remove defoult sound and gif from the widget.

Heyoh! Just starting to experiment with Stream Elements and having trouble with setting up my subscriber alert, it's acting a bit strange. I set up my follower alert without issues, but the sub alert will not edit or delete the default gif no matter what I try.

Yeah that seems to have been .. part of the issue? Maybe it's still the issue, I'm not sure. I turned off all the variations, and now it's using the same sound I applied for my follower alerts, and it's only showing the subscriber message, no "person subscribed for x months" text

ok, i have an issue. trying to use regex in banned phrases (we have a ban evader repeatedly changing the spacing of a specific word, and capitalization and using an umlout etc to get around our blacklist of that word) is there something im missing? i have it marked as regex, the regex checks out 100% properly on multiple regex checkers, but when i test using test phrases, it continually shows me Phrase doesn't match any groups. ideas on what i could be doing wrong?

nevermind, not exactly user error, however having to have the group enabled while a live stream is going on, just to test (and having the possibility of many false positives) isnt a great idea. may i suggest the testing be allowed without the banned word being live in the channel?

I am running into a bit orf a problem atm.
I am trying to transfer the whole shabang to SE at this point, but using te browser based overlay if making the overlay in general Laag or RUN at 20/30FPS insted of 60 FPS. You can see a big differance between the smooth video looping on OBS & on the Brawser.

I already tried to set a custom FPS to 60, but to no succes.

How do I fix this FPS laag ?

I do recommend OBS Studio over SLOBS, as it will always be updated and works really well with StreamElements. It also is maintained with a lot more frequency than SLOBS due to slobs having to port code over every time OBS updates

I am having a little problem. When a sub sub is gifted to the channel, an alert pops up on screen, however I want to set it to where when someone gifts 5 subs a different alert pops up. When I make the alert go off for community gifted 5 subs I want that certain alert to pop up. However that alert and the standard gift sub pops up for each individual gifted sub. Is there a way to get the Individual gifts to not pop up when its a community gift of more than one???

Hey, I'm trying to make one of the stream labels in my overlay to have a fixed width and when the text reaches the end it will just not show that part of text. How it works when I set the fixed width is that the text that doesnt fit goes on another row. I dont want that. Any ideas how to do what I want to do?

@topaz umbra Inside the download you received from Nerd or Die, there is a ~StreamElements folder which will have the install link for the alerts. In the primary Wicked_Alerts_Overlay folder there is a Webcam borders folder that contains WEBM files you can upload to your StreamElements library from the overlay editor. Once you get it uploaded, you can then click Add Video in the editor and it will let you pick your webcam border

I really need some assistance, I have been trying to fix this for about a week now and i've had no luck. When I stream or record in OBS Live using the New NVENC Encoder I get crackling and popping in the audio of my elgato. when I use the x264 Encoder everything is fine. I have tried streamlabs obs and I have the same issue. If anyone has any idea at all as to what could be causing this Id really appreciate it. Thanks! Just been going through Streamelements and updating a few things. Everything seemed to update fine and in real time as normal except the name of my profile that is shown when I view my profile. The link at the top has changed, but my name never changed on the profile. Typically something like that is just the server needing a few minutes to update but it's been about 30 minutes and it's still showing the old name. Just wondering if that's normal and if I just need to be more patient.

OBS.Live is a plugin for OBS Studio. The basic functionality is still OBS Studio. If it looks fine in OBS but not on stream, that is an encoding issue. Which is them. Not us.

For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

@rugged scroll If you changed your name on Twitch please follow these steps:
🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to get all bit alerts over 100 bits in one alert box with its own settings, and all bit alerts under 100 bits in a different alert box, without ever having two alerts. Could I do that?

Obviously without having to add 100 identical variations of the alert I want for lower cheers 😄

No. It will start counting up from 0. It's not retroactively applied.
