@dawn lily Make it as a store item in the Stream Store, add the Store Redemption widget to your overlay

@fallen lava Basically 15 minutes after your stream ends the 'session' data is reset so that the next time you go live it starts your session data from scratch. That way 'session data' is only for your current stream and doesn't consist of any data from previous streams

#

The reason it resets after 15 minutes is so that if you lose connection for example for less than 15 minutes you can go back live and not have it ruin your current session's data

Goals don't use session data, they just add 1 when you gain 1

#

So if you added Follower Goal it'd count up 1 when you gain a follower

okay we just ran into that issue with resubs its added instead of taking into calculation that it was a resub so i had to go in and fix it so it made me want to look into more so the widgets would be accurate

@fallen lava You could use the Total Subscribers widget as a goal, as this will show the current amount of subscribers and then you add for example / 100 after the {count} variable

@ember jolt If it is the case I wasn't aware of it but could be that the bot is designed to not reply to Nightbot too, as the purpose of not responding to it's own command is to prevent an infinite loop

Goals counts up if you gain 1 but Total actually keeps updating with the live total number

#

So if you want a live goal then a Total widget is the best choice by far, as if you drop by 1 a Goal widget won't update that automatically

anyway, I am having a bit of an issue with the aleart widget 🤔 in the community I am part of it is normal to manual host eachohter even if we weren't streaming, meaning that I sometimes get hosts with 0 viwers. I have tried both making a it the default setting or a Variation for those often 0 viweres hosts, but it dosen't seem to work.
running a test host with an amount of 0 works, but it dosen't work when I get a real one.
Is this a known bug, am I doing something worng or is this something I should find my way to suppoart and make a ticket for? 🤔

@stark drift Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it
All auto host events with at least 1 viewer
Note: An offline host is when you see "X channel has just hosted you" - with no viewer numbers on the back

not quite the awnser I had hoped for... all I wanted was an aleart for the manualy excecuted 0 viewer hosts, because to me those are just as ligit hosts as every ohter host... I guess this means I have to use a diffrent system to circumvent this. 😐

Hey! I recently created a GIF in After Effects. It's about 14 seconds long and works perfectly. The problem is, whenever I go into StreamElements and change the video, it doesn't work. The .GIF file isn't recognized as a video, it's recognized as an image. Is there any way you can help? Thankyou!

I called my provider and they did everything from their end. Still everyone is getting told it is a connection issue. If you still can't stream - ISP issue

and talk to your ISP that you stream to a platform that needs constant connection and something is not right.

Oh I am not pointing fingers at all. I love streamelements and the service. All I want to do is fix it. I had to restart today 4 times and even with upgrading my service and them monitoring it I get told it is an connection issue

@zenith widget I did all of the above. It let's me stream but with constant interruption. Router and modem has been reset twice due to me calling them twice tonight and did troubleshooting. I told them why this is important and we kept monitoring it download and upload wise for a bit. All in exellent condition, yet the problem is still there. Like I said I even upgraded service to get even faster service.

Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
Add an item that has these settings on it:

Stream Perk
Loyalty settings to your desire
(Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
"Redeeming this item shows an alert
Redemable via chat
Skip Requirements

Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

Hey guys. i keep getting the "Failed to authenticate with Twitch: Failed to get token from remote" Error when I start StreamElements. If I disconnect and reconnect my Twitch account from the settings > stream menu, it reconnects. But then I have to reset my layout each time. Is this a known issue?

Yeah. In the Overlay editor in Streamelements.com -> You can use a Preset Overlay / create your own: Add your Text/Videos / Alert Box -> Save it & get the URL & paste the URL as a Browser Source.

You can make it as a store item and then have the store redemption widget on the overlay. Or, you could try and make it custom using the custom widget but that'd require you knowing how to code that

There is no delay option for those alerts, the image and sound play together. So if there is a delay that would suggest an issue with the audio file. The second method I gave you would be the only other way of doing this should you be having trouble with utilising the store redemption widget.

You can add/remove/edit tips in your Revenue History, this has the effect of changing your top tipper if you do it right. Also, "no data" probably means you either have it set to Session Top Tipper (current stream only) or you've reset the data so you'll need to wait for a new one

its because you changed your name. part the bot and re-join it in the se dashboard.
log out of the se dashboard and log back in (<-- do the same in obs.live)

Hello, I'm noticing that emotes that use a lot of caps are triggering the CAPS protection although still under the set EMOTE protection limit.
ie EMOTE limit is 10 and CAPS limit is 20 (chars)- 50 (limit) - 50 (%) so:
doctorFLAPPIN doctorFLAPPIN doctorFLAPPIN is triggering the 50% threshold.
Obviously I can change the threshold, but I'd think emotes should be exempt from the rest of the CAPS check?

That would require parsing them out first before doing a simple count check, but shouldn't be too difficult considering the emote are available in the message tags.

In Advanced within Text Settings set an area for your text to be within, if you leave it blank it will just expand

@idle vault As the bot is a cloud bot, all your settings are store in the cloud and the ot is joined your twitch channel. So you would not have to swap anything.

If your antivirus is flagging it on install there is a good chance it will block the browser source plugin in OBS from working which will result in just seeing white pages once it is installed. You'll want to make sure you whitelist the program completely.

If the font is appearing fine in the editor but not in SLOBS there's nothing we can do about that. We can't troubleshoot their software for them. This is why we always recommend using OBS Studio with our plugin, OBS.Live.

The most I can suggest is seeing if restarting SLOBS helps.

I have had a couple of donations lately and one of them was a mistake, so I want to delete the donation. The thing is now, that his name is shown on my stream in the "Top Tipper" section, but it is nowhere to be found on my StreamElements page under Revenue History.
It is to be seen under Activity Feed though. But I cant delete it - I can only change the amount of money he donated? What to do?

@still gale You can change the command itself (i.e. change !watchtime to !howlong) but not the actual contents of the command. If you want to replace a default command, disable it and create a custom command instead.

Question, so I have 3 chat timers and I want them to display at different times so they do not spam my chat, I have them set at interval online 20 below online interval it says 20 lines(think it actually means minutes?) any way its also set to 3 lines the other 2 timers are 30 minutes 3 lines and 15 minutes 3 lines. the first timer set to 20 minutes 3 lines works but the 2 other do not work

Lines refer to the number of chat messages required within the 5 minutes before the timer goes off for the timer to say its thing.

Something is acting up with alerts on my end. I have two different styles set up, but the very first alert after launching OBS Studio will play sounds from both. While it is an easy fix if I simulate one alert, it is still annoying.

Yes, two completely different overlays. Only one per scene. If an alert happens, sounds from both overlays will play, but only for the first one.

@latent hemlock If it's available in the overlay it'll be a hidden layer in the Layers menu, you can toggle the visibility of a layer in the Layers menu using the eye symbol to the side of each layer

There is a button in the bottom left of the overlay manager (has a red circle in it when you click on a widget) which duplicates that widget to another overlay, this works for the alert box @mystic shale

If they're the same length (the alerts on both overlays) and you wait until the end of the alert to switch that shouldn't happen. But you can try refreshing the cache of the overlay in the browser source's properties too and seeing if that helps

If they redeem via the chat, no. If they redeem via the store, yes (by disabling the chat alert in Modules > Chat Alerts > Redemptions) @plucky wraith

It's cutting off in the Overlay Editor? If so: You should just make it bigger by dragging the little square block (I think) on the bottom right of the widget.

Click on your brower source on the OBS Preview & try pressing Ctrl + F to fit to screen if that does anything.

Depending what kind of laptop you have. You can try connecting a HDMI Cable from the Laptop to your PS4 & use the PS4 app to stream your gameplay & use Display Capture.

Otherwise you'd have to stream directly from console which we offer steps for that & what is available

@native lance If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

@mild wraith You can test Alerts via the bell on the lower right corner of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard -> My Overlays -> Pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the "Show Emulated events on stream" option is on to see the alert in OBS/Xsplit https://streamable.com/h6qgy

@rustic wagon If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have OBS.Live installed, please follow these steps:

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.5.27.394 )
exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
start OBS.Live
Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

however if your twitch was wrong because of the name change its best to test again when you log back in with the new name

I think I found an issue while helping another streamer, either with the system or with his account.

We have a national payment system named MobilePay (MP), and I've developed a way to detect and send this as an API call so it look like a PP-dono. Two of the payments @dreamy bobcat got on MP were not donations, the detection system was running at the time so it picked them up and added them to SE.

We remove both donations from the "Revenue history -> Tip List"
Then we opened up his overlay and clicked the "DATA"-tab
In the "LABELS"-subtab we changed "Latest Tipper" back to the data before the two non-donations
We then removed the two names from the "Recent Tips" and clicked Save
We then went into "GOALS"-subtab and changed the "Tip goal progress" back to the correct amount and clicked Save

Now we made sure they were gone from the above mentioned, but when we looked at "aggregates"-subtab they are still there as "All time, monthly and weekly top tip(per)" so we checked the "Revenue history -> 'Tip List' and 'Top Tipper'" and they are gone from those lists.

This was done yesterday, so i think it should have synced by now and be completely gone from his account as donations?
