You can either just have the website with the MR open in the background in the browser, or use the media request widget, show the video on steam and hide the video, to just hear the audio on the widget.

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.5.8.388 )
exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
start OBS.Live
Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

I ask this, as I managed to flip the progress bar 180 degrees so it goes from right to left as the song plays, but for the life of me I can't resolve this for the text, as flipping it still has it have its text start from left to right.

This would be solved if the alignment would respect the settings chosen, but they simply ignore them. Is there a quick fix for this?

I've managed to get the progress bar to progress from right to left by flipping it 180 and then for tthe text section of the one widget I gave it a negative margin offset so it isn't rendered to the scene...

#

But the issue is when you try the same with the text part. I hide the progress bar by giving it a negative offset, but the text will always render from left to right, meaning even if you mirrored it you'd still face the same issue with the overflow going to the left.

I actually found a workaround I'm happy with. Hiding the text on the media request widget via negative offset, so you just get the progress bar, and then using the now playing widget with text scrolling enabled so it starts within the progress bar and ends in it as well. 😄

@crisp jackal update: in the editor, "emulate cheer event" if I remove the text that is generated by default and add only a number (let's say 5 or 10), the hypecup picks up the cheer.
If the text is there, it doesn't.
Checking the vod, my viewers cheered multiple times the PrideThings in 100 amounts.

So to any staff or helpers here; what are the odds we can get commands that are only activateable on certain days? For example, I play horror games on Friday's and I have my scene set up to not include the store redemption for SFX... However, that won't stop people from using the command and wasting their points. I'd like to ask for help ... I have a problem with live shows. When I stream on apex, in live the sound is not the same as I hear it from the headphones ... it's kind of metallic. The settings of the audio on obs are from the factory. It's like I'm doing a live show, I can't explain it 😅. I have the G633, wired. If I set the sound card of the pc, the live comes with a perfect sound, but obviously I don't hear anything in the usb headphones ... the problem is the headphones then? I don't know what to do 😭

Okay I'm not quite sure where to post this so if I'm in the wrong place can you tell me where to post? I'm struggling with the alertbox, but realistically I have two problems.

A) I tried to set up my alertbox by importing my existing one from streamlabs - this brought it in but the background gif while registered didn't display at all

B) when I'm trying to scroll through the sound effects to reset up manually my variations it doesn't change what's loaded on the page. So page 1-25, 26-50 show exact same, and 51-58 show as blank

When it is selected, the custom code is choosen to display the alert. If it is unchecked, the normal alertbox settings on the left are chosen to make the alert.

Guys, is there no way to have Obs Live to save settings for media request?

Every single time I launch OBS I need to "launch" it, which then pops it out of the position I placed it in, and then I have to click show on stream and hide the video, each and every time. 😦

It saves the audio volume of the media request at the very least, so clearly it can store settings. Is there something I'm missing?

It literally saves EVERYTHING else, it just won't have the media request dock active, I have to click launch each time, which then undocks it, and I have to re-dock it.

I think you're misunderstanding. You can make a custom command, i.e. !itemname, with the response being ${redeem itemname} to redeem the item by typing !itemname instead of !redeem itemname

@worthy tartan You can test Alerts via the bell on the lower right corner of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard -> My Overlays -> Pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the "Show Emulated events on stream" option is on to see the alert in OBS/Xsplit https://streamable.com/h6qgy

You don't need Streamlabs to stream your console gameplay.
If you're having problems with PS4's streaming option, that's a question better posed to either Twitch support or Sony support.

close, that is for Twitch TOS. while many people do use Spotify to stream music that has an open copyright license for any kind of usage, I do believe Spotify TOS is that you aren't supposed to use it for that. again: just wanted to make sure you're aware 😃

I actually don't know, I streamed like 3-4 years ago - then stopped.. And when I started to stream last week again it just worked, so I dont know how I did it.

If you are using the scene importer build in our plugin OBS.Live, the labels should be transferred over to your StreamElements overlay.

I have a obs lay out my images etc direct into scene . I would like to transfere it over and use the url rather than have lots of images loaded in obs. Be nice to be able to import them straight to .live im currently in .live editor recreating it sure theres an easy way. i have a problem where when i add an alias for my !roulette command, it doesnt show up in the command aliases box, so i cant delete the alias. the aliases added do work in chat, they just can't be deleted. anyone else encounter this?

Hi @twin sentinel i have just uninstalled and reinstalled .live.. After set up finishes and launches obs il launches my original obs not .live.. i quit restart and still get original obs even when use the new .live desktop short cut..

i do however get the blue n white streamelements live support button and in header bars i get streamelements drop down.

in here i have a switch to obs studio option i click that and get a message you are in this mode..

so would seem that .live is not active for me ?¿

@safe coyote Yes, it seems you have either not installed the plugin correctly, or you are not in the mode with the plugin active. When you see StreamElements in the head bar, you have our plugin active. When you restart your OBS, it should be active again when you switched to OBS Studio mode.

@twin sentinel yeah nothing appears under "Command aliases", even though it does have aliases. when i type a new one and hit enter, it just disappears, but it works in chat. the issue doesnt seem to be happening for other commands. i was thinking maybe it was because i added "!gamble" as an alias when i should have added "gamble", maybe that screwed things up

hi, i am trying to setup dual stream setup for my art stream, so i use a gaming pc to stream games normally, which has my setup, preferences and cams.

Question, after adding my stinger the browser sources wouldn't show back up. Refresing the source on scene going live didn't help but, unchecking the "close browser sources when not in use" worked.

I know SE says to close the sources when not in use but, what issues are cause from my work around?

@vast lantern When the source is set to shutdown it normally loads after the stinger. When it is not shutdown, it is loaded in the background the whole time, so it is definetly ready after the transition.
Can you try studiuo mode to preload the scenes and then switch?

Interesting... So, this might be an OBS bug. I think I might have figured something out too

Running it through studio mode (Worked by the way) I noticed that just switching with my streamdeck was working. I think it has something to do with the way OBS was cacheing the browser sources

Yes. You go to the Streamelements website -> Sign in with your Twitch -> Side menu left side click My Overlays ->Click Pencil Icon to edit your Overlay -> Welcome to the Overlay Editor.

Anything can be charged back; that process is initiated through the tipper's bank or card issuer. The differences are mostly regarding whether the processor has an additional fee for getting charged back, along with the tools provided to dispute the chargeback.

Yes, you won't have to deal with a $20 per chargeback like when using PayPal. Thankfully PayPal is removing that in the near future.

You would need to create an overlay with an alert box and add this to your OBS. Be aware that we can't give support with SLOBS and using our overlays, as we don't hve the tools to support SLOBS.
