Duplicating the widget will give you the same kind of widget. You need to add the correct widget, size it, put it into position, and delete the old one.

@sand glacier Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it
All auto host events with at least 1 viewer

@cloud grotto 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly. There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points. It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time. Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Streamlabs and us are 2 different companies and we don't track each other's tipping links.

Meaning that if you have our tipping link and use SL's activity feed(or SLOBS in this case I guess) you won't see the activity feed that someone tipped you and what message it is.

Our plugin OBS.Live is basically the same thing but its just an addon/plugin for OBS Studio

meaning that when ever OBS Studio updates with something cool, we are up to date with them while SLOBS can lag behind as they have their own fork (not shaming, but example being the newest NVENC encoder - it took some time for SL to implement it into SLOBS)

StreamElements bot modded and in chat
Active overlay with alerts
StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.5.8.388 )
exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
start OBS.Live
Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

Hi all, can someone point me in the direction of some information please. I have an ongoing issue with a small group of trolls who are creating twitch accounts with inappropriate names hashed up in long strings. With the help of my mods I have tightened up on how these clowns can interfere with the stream however my mods are asking for follower alert mod rights. I can see I can create editor roles for chanel management, but I cant see anywhere i can have a mod approve follower alerts that pop up on screen. I dont want to turn off follow alerts, but that's where I'm heading if I cant figure this out. Thanks in advance

You can pretty much set their names or abbriviates to this and the system should take care of it

or just not show an alert -depending how you set it up

Hi there, I wanted to add something to my stream, it's a stylized events overlay but it was only available on streamlabs, so I logged in and customised the 'widget' as they call it, then added it as a browser source to OBS. Since then my Stream Elements timers have stopped showing in chat. How do I fix this without losing the events list from Stream labs?

To be clear I stay away from stream labs where possible. Their interface is so bad! Stream elements is so good in comparison.

Make sure your apostrophes are correct. If you're copypasting there's a chance it's formatting them into a weird single quote apostrophe that will cause an error in the parsing.

ah sorry, I wasn't very clear. there are two ways to greet new followers:

On the overlay, using the overlay editor: Widget > Alerts, and enable the "New follower" option
In your chat, not in the overlay section. Under the "Bot" section of the main menu (not in the overlay editor, but starting at your SE Dashboard), select Modules. From there you can enable the "Chat alerts"

StreamElements bot modded and in chat
Active overlay with alerts
StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Afternoon! I'm wondering how to zoom my camera into an overlay box on the SE? I know I can drag the icon and make the camera larger but then when moving hands around it will go outside of the overlay applied. Any help?
When centering the camera into the overlay box to prevent any movement outside of the overlay my face is just too small.

Horizontal list:

You currently have 1 tip in your Recent Tips so in your case with 1 item in the list regardless of the format you choose it looks the same as both formats scroll the data horizontally

@tight harness I was doing tips from the beginning. That being said, what I did to resolve was. Added widget, formatted the text then changed to horizontal and it worked. Not sure why it wouldn't if I changed horizontal 1st.

All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it

Has anyone had an issue with not being able to downscale a game without massive FPS drop when trying to output to twitch? Examples: Trying to play fornite at 2560x1440, 144 fps = Encoding Overload Error at the bottom of Obs.Live and obs output limited to 20fps. Switch to 60 fps max in fortnite, obs stream output table at 60 fps. /// GTAV: FiveM Mod: Try to play at 2560x1440. Encoding Overload Error and fps output limited to 20fps . Switch the GTAV resolution to 1920x1080, obs output is stable at 60fps bu ti norder to have it fullscreen i would need to change the monitor to 1080p resolution.

We have just started streaming and are trying to use the stream elements extension. When we click 'configure' nothing happens, it shows a white screen and an error message saying it can't be loaded. We tried on chrome normally and through incognito mode and also tried it using the Edge browser. Are we able to activate and change settings some other way? We can't understand why it isnt working. hm, I will have to let another support person chime in. not sure about that. but if you are using OBS then, they probably have more ideas about how to fix this 😃 the StreamElements OBS plugin is an integration with their software, StreamElements doesn't actually make OBS

I've just set it up for the first time, and i set it up with 10 points each 10 minutes

Those aren't the only factors, there's also all of your gambling modules in Modules which also affect the points leaderboards, you'd need to disable all of those

I get what you mean, that calculation could not be correct at 100%, but honestly I just expected to come here and maybe be able to discover that there was also a command for the full list shown by !top online

You are definitely right @tight harness but the reason I came here is also due to the fact that I often see some specific users (that I personally know), hanging in the chat, often being AFK maybe, that have like only 5 points on the all-time leaderboard.
Is it maybe possible that StreamElements isn't able to fetch data from Twitch, even if they often stay in the chat with the stream paused, if those users have the option "share my activity" toggled-off, inside their twitch settings?

Hello, I am having an issue with StreamElements overlay Alerts. I add the widget to my overlay and attempt to "emulate a follower event" nothing happens. I've looked at YouTube videos and followed instructions to set up alerts and still nothing. Bear in mind, I am just in the overlay building process. Testing things out and getting everything lined up. Any idea as to why I wouldn't me seeing the test?

@untold crest actually they aren’t working on OBS either. I’m not seeing them in the editor or OBS and OBS is up to date. I click the emulate button and nothing happens. The alerts box is in the middle of the screen and at the top of the layers too.

i would resize the alert box to fit the screen via 1920x1080 or 1280x1080. it seems as the problem is that the alert box is too small therfore the alert is being sent but because the bounderies on the box is too small you cannot see the alerts @naive viper

So I recently had my twitch linked to ESO and enabled drops, however when I broadcast ESO it says that "the broadcaster has not enabled drops".. There's an event going on for drops right now and if i dont get this figured out i won't be able to stream ESO until this event ends.. if anyone has any experience in this please @ me. Is it because I linked the account recently? I went to settings>channel>drops> to enable drops.. maybe i missed something? idk.

@torpid estuary yes I have forced twitch logins. It was gifted sub to become the hype boss and then they did a bit donation after that did damage to themselves

@raw plover Media request has a widget in your overlay editor. Add it to a scene, then you can click "show on stream" so the viewers see the video too

log in to StreamElements, use your dashboard to have the bot join your channel. From your Twitch channel, mod the bot. Then, you can manage what your bot does and says using the bot modules and commands section of your StreamElements dashboard 😃
