hello, i'm having some trouble changing the bot name. I've downloaded ground control but where do I go from here?

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hello, can i set alert duration longer than 60 seconds? I have slighty longer donation sound for some variations.

60 seconds is the max - but isn't more then 60 seconds a bit too long?

Usually if the sound of the alert is longer then the duration it will keep playing

and if you have TTS on top of that

the next alert won't play until TTS also finishes plays

so by that logic, if the sound is longer then 60 seconds, it will keep playing even though the alert graphic has stopped showing.

hi, my when my viewers wanting to check the watchtime it always sais 0 seconds, how can i fix it?

@steel rune 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly. There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points. It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time. Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Not sure if this is the place, but I need some help with a widget. The HypeBoss widget hasn't been working probably for a while. The boss's portrait doesn't show up anymore, and they also take damage if they do anything that isn't cheering, like donating or gifting, instead of self-healing

Make sure you reload the overlay in OBS after deleting, saving adding again and saving.

It's not a huge deal, but the viewers haven't really been wanting to play with it as much as they used to because they don't feel like it's worth it any more

I have a custom command set up that costs 100 points to run. Everything seems to work, but if the user does not have enough points, there is no reply at all. When I add my overlay from stream elements I'm seeing noticeable FPS drop on OBS (depending on the game the FPS could drop down to 15 FPS) I removed everything except my alerts but even just adding Hypecup will drop the FPS down to 50. I'm not anywhere near maxing out my CPU typical CPU useage while playing a game with OBS up is around 50%. Any thoughts?

Hai, I'm having trouble with my alerts not going off on stream. I've disconnected my Twitch from StreamElements and reconnected, removed and reloaded the url for my alerts in OBS and they won't go off. They work fine on tests and in Streamelements when I'm in the overlay theme. This is for all alerts, follower, bits, raid, Tiltify etc.

I had an issue where if I changed scenes, all my alerts would go off again, so I removed the alerts from all but my overlay screen and now it's broken.

So using !save on its own will add 1, but !save +5 will add 5

If you are using "Show on Stream" option - the video will play on stream, but if you switch scenes to an overlay that doesn't have the media request widget, then the video will stop playing on stream, but will continue playing from the Media Request page(or OBS.Live dock).

4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

1. Tip was filtered out via profanity settings
2. Realtime connection broke for a moment so tip is on SE and not visible in Event list nor alertbox (in that case you need to replay alert)
3. If tip is not visible on SE activity feed but you have transaction on your PayPal account - the tip could be sent via another service (not via your SE tipping page)
4. If tip is not visible on SE activity feed nor Paypal - tip didn't went through
   (Same applies for other payment methods like G2A Pay or SE.Pay)

yep if the email isn't right it won't have worked!! 😮 if you can claim the hotmail address you might be able to recover it that way by adding it to your paypal account but otherwise they may need to cancel the transaction and re-tip you once you fix it

I have no idea if this would work but I would take these steps:

1. Register the hotmail account
2. Add it as a secondary email in PayPal
3. See if the pending money shows up within 24 hours
4. Call PayPal to ask them to help you claim the money if it doesn't show automatically

So it's been a long time since this issue has come up, but I'm apparently still having problems with my host alert--and ONLY my host alert--not going off. ALL of my other alerts work just fine. Troubleshooting up to this point has included the following:

1. Rebuilding my Alert Box from scratch;
2. Disabling/re-enabling the host alert;
3. Parting and rejoining the bot to my channel;
4. Rebuilding my hooks between the bot and the channel (sorry if this is not the exact language which was used to explain it)

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

@quasi kiln I don't think I understand your issue. If you want Alerts on their own, you will need to create second overlay with the Alerts widget to use as a second browser source and remove the Alerts widget from the other overlay to avoid simultaneous alerts.

I posted this last night, but my question got buried. I have an ongoing issue for about eight months now with my Host Alert--and ONLY the Host Alert--not working. Between myself and StreamElements, we have tried the following:

1. Rebuilding the Alert Box and all its alerts from scratch;

2. Disabling/re-enabling the Host Alert;

3. Parting/re-joining the bot to my channel;

4. Someone rebuilt the hooks for my channel (sorry if that's not the exact phrasing that was used).

A viewer manually hosted me last night, and neither the chat alert nor the Alert Box triggered. ALL other alerts in my Alert Box work properly. Any other ideas?

Sometimes I had duplicate welcome messages on chat bot so I'm trying to avoid the same here on SE

StreamElements doesn't do welcome messages; they're often counterproductive. The minimum required action for the bot to say something is a follow.

it only mutes the copyright on the VOD, not during the stream, thats down to twitch ToS.

Gotcha. I went to make some highlight videos of some W's in Apex and they were all muted. However, I know people hear it in the stream. That's good to know for the future thanks Tadpole

A command can't be restricted for use by a specific user only.

How do you bring back the update game title box in SE, I accidentally clicked out of it
