There is no StreamElements OBS. OBS.Live is a plugin for OBS Studio which adds the activity feed, your twitch chat and the media request control to your OBS. You don't necessarily need the plugin to use the StreamElemetns bot in your twitch channel.

Heya 😃 Not sure but I think it's a bug - I was using !addpoints the other day and it flat refused to let me add points to 1 person out of about 15. He had an underscore at the end of his name. Could that have been the problem ? If not then why would it let me addpoints to all the others and not him ?

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

if you want just the bot in your twitch chat then you can do that from the SE site.

@steep linden If you have issues with OBS logging you out of the integration all the time or not showing the Twitch integrations, follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.3.24.375)
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

Hi guys, I'm facing a problem setting up a new alert in SE. It's a total of 12.5 seconds, set up text to appear after 8.2 seconds and disappear 1.2 seconds before the end (staying on for 3.1 seconds), The problem is that the text disappear with the end of the whole animation, no matter how I set the disappearance offset. I noticed that it happens only with longer alerts, like 10+ seconds. Hope the explanation is clear and thanks to anybody who helps! ❤

Consoles aren't capable of using overlays on their own. You need to get your gameplay onto a computer, using either a capture card or remote play, and stream from there.

Hey guys, for some reason, StreamElements overlay (especially alerts) has been severely lagging recently.

Situation has improved once I removed OBS.Live, but there are still issues like Alert audio not being played, or alert animation lagging or not being played whatsoever.

Surprisingly, my OBS takes only 45% of CPU while streaming, and there are no other programs being used, so I don't think the cause of the issue is my PC not being strong enough.

Chrome is the preferred browser you need to use - make sure its updated to the latest v73

If you are still getting the error even after having our dashboard and SL's dashboard open

then open the Dev console of w/e browser you are using that has the extension installed and navigate to the console tab. Run the extension again and the error will be in red on the bottom.

I don't think that should matter, so long as you're forcing a cookie refresh by doing the log out (not just closing the tab). Perhaps clearing site data or something might be necessary.

Global cooldown does not affect all items - it stops all users from using that exact store item(or command).

User cooldown affects the most recent user from using the item again in what ever time frame you've set.

No. As mentioned, global cooldown only affects the item that was used for all users to not use it for the set timeframe. Example:
Item A (sound effect) was just used - its global cooldown is 20 minutes -
Item B ( Sound Effect) can still be used, regardless of Item A
Item C (Stream perk) can also be used,
Item D( Stream perk) was used - its global cooldown is in affect

The chat widget on the right is the default way the chat widget looks when you add it to an overlay. If you want the border, you can go into the Blue Flare overlay, click on the border -> layers on the bottom right -> 2 papers with 1 red dot to copy over to another overlay.

• StreamElements bot modded and in chat
• Active overlay with alerts
• StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hey! I'm having an issue with the alert widget. I've got an image that slides down from the top and has text over it. It seems to work just fine for Subscriber alerts, but the image is not showing up in any of the other alerts, and I can't figure out why. If you want to see it in action, I'm actually streaming right now.

Looks like it's due to the custom CSS being enabled and not referencing the image correctly. {{image}} will call the set image URL, so you need to do like <img src="{{image}}">

Hey guys, I had an issue with Streamelements overlay and alerts lagging. KeiZar suggested me to:
"2 things come to mind to try:

1. try snd turn off your router for 5 minures to clear its cache
2. right click the browser sources then properties scroll down and refresh cache as well",
   but it didn't fix the issue.
   Any other possible ways to resolve the issue?

P.S. OBS runs at 35% CPU usage, and there is no lagging or dropped frames for anything other than Streamelements related stuff
