Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Question, when someone Raids me, for some reason both the Raid and host alerts go off one after the other. But I only want the raid alert to go off when being raided. Is there a way to do that without disabling host alerts entirely?

Unfortunately when you have the host and raid alert enabled, both will be activated when a raid comes in. This is because we can't change the way Twitch notifies us.

Question! I'm working on making an overlay and while working on my alert box, I have one specific alert that will not update. It's stuck on the image and sound the overlay came with (I'm tweaking one instead of building from scratch). All other alerts changed and updated properly, but specifically the Subscriber alert will not update. Even when refreshing the page and saving and launching and setting and resetting the alert will it fix, and it doesn't show up correctly in my OBS either. It just is stuck on the stock. Thoughts? Tricks to make it work? Thank you!

@steel wyvern Twitch prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. The differences between these types of services tend to be: 1) geographic areas served and 2) the fees levied per transaction.

so when I first set up everything, I used a custom font, it's called Urae Nium. Everything was fine... when my PC freaked out for some reason and I had to do a reset, I couldn't see the fonts on the overlays so I thought I would probably need to set the fonts again in PC so I did that but they didn't work?

just check that they are installed on your computer again

and test the alerts in your streaming software, for me the custom fonts are hit and miss within the StreamElements browser editor itself

and double check the name of the font that the computer is using

for example my font name is "Trailmade" but the CSS actually wants to see "Trailmade Regular"

You have to enable the loyalty system to get the watchtime. Every 10 min the watchtime will be added.

yes if you are on PC there should be a Desktop Audio sound input you can turn on/off for sounds to show up on your streams

Hey guys, not sure if I am in the right spot. But I am having trouble streaming fortnite through obs live on my pc. I cant seem to figure out how to stop the lag and stutters, i lowered my bit rate to 1500 and I even lowered my output resolution to 1280x720 and still lag in game while the stream stutters. I think the grouping is not possible, but the preview picture is defined by the game you set the overlay to. So you can set the game and change the overlay preview image.
