I hope this is the right place to ask. I am currently using StreamElements and I'm noticing that sometimes text to speech does not work properly if someone cheers using a lot of cheer emotes. For example, I have my TTS bit limit set to 25 bits. If someone types "cheer1" 25 times and then a message, the alert will show but TTS will not do anything. I was just curious if this is a common issue. Thanks.

But you do have TTS anti-spam on

The API you are trying to reach has been created by someone else, but not StreamElements. So the owner of the API decides what to give back. And at the moment he gives the text back, that the API is in maintenance atm. So you have to wait for the API to be back up and running, to access your elo.

You have to get your Gameplay in OBS, to use the Overlay. To do so you can either use a capture card or remote play.
After taht you add the gameplay in OBS and add the overlay as Browser source, too and you can stream to Twitch with Overlay.
There is no other way, I am aware of to stream on an XBOX and to use the Overlays of StreamElements.
The Twitch App does not support StreamElements Overlays as far as I know.

If you want to have an alert popping up in your stream, the tips have to be made through the SE tip-link you can set up in the Tipping Settings.
For the alert add an alert box to your Overlay and edit the alert for Tips as you wish and add the Overlay in OBS, if you haven't already.

@outer lotus Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding +fps_max 60 to the game's launch properties in Origin.

Goals dont pull your follower count. It will add to whatever number is set in the data > goals tab. It will add to the goal as you get new followers

The widgets will appear where you placed them in the overlay in the overlay editor. If they dont line up how you want in OBS, you need to adjust it in the overlay on the site

Do u know any fixes for inconsistent Bitrate speeds? I stream at 720p 30 FPS at 3300kbps currently but at times it dips below to like 1600. My speeds are 300 mbps up and 11 mbps down. It’s weird cuz when I move it up to around 4500-5000, it reaches around there but then does the same thing and then I get dropped frames

When I was configuring my settings, I followed those guidelines. 3300kbps is what I set it to cuz I get 0% dropped frames but it still looks a little bad. I wanna set it higher cuz I have 11mpbs upload but it just seems to fluctuate too much

Sometimes the first timeout doesn't go through, so I think StreamElements is sending out 2 timeouts to make sure.
But I am not sure what the 50 minutes timeout is. Maybe it is something from the Spam protection.

@lament blade Yes. if your starting soon browser source is set to "shutdown when inactive" the time should reset when you switch to the scene.
For the 2nd one - you need to have some to tip you to fix it, else you can go into the overlay editor, click on the widgets and on the left side adjust the "No data" field for the wdigets to show something else

I cannot find "shutdown when inactive" when I click on the timer I dont have that option, or am I looking the wrong place? So tips will first update after I receive a new donation, it cannot find older ones from this month? I just start using this yesterday

- Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
- Ground Control app must be running
Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hi guys, I have few questions about SE, since I am using OBS and SL atm, want to move to SE, but some things are stopping me:
- Credits for endstream with this session's contributors (followers, subs and so on) with ability to include manual fields (patreon, for example)
- Ability to group and move widgets around the overlay and between overlays. I havent found a way to copy a widget with settings (for example tuned out alert box) from one overlay to another
- Somewhy when I use OBS.Live sometimes when I maximize window it removes all those minimize and windowed buttons, so I cant make it smaller again. This isnt always happening, but causes to restart OBS to fix it, which is really not an option during livestreams.
- Ability to import loyalty system from SL. Chrome Import tool doesnt works and gives import error
- Different timeout options in OBS.Live chat (like 1s timeout, just to purge messages)
Is there any workaround for those things or am I missing something?

- is possible, you can add your own text via editing the html and/or JS in there
- You can copy every time one element between the overlays at once. I think it should keep its settings, but not 100% sure.
- Another fix for this to maybe not end your stream is to log out of OBS Live and log back in.
- You have to have both Dashboards, the SE and SL Dasboard open and be logged in at once in Chrome.
- You can set for every spam filter (e.g. Caps protection, message length protection, link protection...) a different anount of time for the timeout.

You can just create a custom command and instert the message it sould say to your viewers when they or your mods or so enter the command in chat.

You need to make commands that make use of ${count} and ${getcount} variables.
${count} shows the count after incrementing it by one.
${getcount} just shows the count.
Example of use: Loren has won ${count wins} times!
If you later need to reset the count, !editcount wins 0 would do it for that particular count.

Re-read what I've wrote about the timers. The 2 most important things is: internal timer that counts chat lines and the chat lines.

I recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Live to stream. You can set up your Overlay on the SE website and and add it to OBS and you are good to go.

I'm a mod for a friend and i'm also a mod on her streamelements, i'm a bot supervisor, when someone wants to request a song in chat it doesn't recognise it ... also if i turn on the Viewer request it doesn't turn it on, after i refresh the site the media request is turned on, i've tried manually adding media to the queue and it only recognises new media added when i refresh the dashboard

The animations are not the same, but they are looking the same in a small alertBox. If you move the alertbox down from the top, like to the middle, you can see that the beginngin of the animations is different, but the "end" of the animations of fade and slide are like the same.

In media request. When someone requests a song the requested song plays a very low volume even when the volume is turned up beforehand. Songs in my que list when there is no requested song however plays at a good volume. Is this a known issue with requested songs coming through at too low a volume?
