You need the pc to be on and with you everytime you stream. So you can open streaming software to capture your game play because you would be streaming from the pc not the console. You only need to setup your alerts etc once in the streaming software.

If it's not pending then either one of you doesn't have a verified PayPal account or it wasn't a legitimate donation

Yeah, that sounds about right. They're the kind of hosts our system filters out, by default those things are set to 1 and the idea is to have them as 1 or higher. Setting them to 0 won't mean that 0 viewer hosts will show because they're filtered out for spam reasons
If the 1 viewer hosts are auto-hosts then it's the same thing

So if you've clicked "Remove sound" you've just removed it setting and can reselect the sound again from your media gallery

You cant stream from multiple devices at the same time

Yes if you're trying to connect to PC to use OBS / don't have a capture card.
Using the Twitch App on Xbox does not work with OBS.
Using Display capture on OBS & if you display capture your game on the Xbox Smart Glass it works.
Since you're not using Overlays. You don't have to use OBS at all. Can stream with the Twitch App on your Xbox & have the Streamelements bot linked to your account
So you get Chat alerts.

Heyoo! We set up a !trickortreat function using random.pick, but the 400 char cap is limiting the randomness. Can I work around this somehow?
Also, is there a function where this random.pick can also divy out an amount of loyalty points? Integrate an "add points" function into the random blargh.

The only way to work around this would be with a custom script and api call, so not really. Also you can not give points out directly with this command afaik. I solved it for me by adding a random ping for me, that tells me to Bonus the user who used the command. @loud rover

I adore another streamer's loyalty function where they have a command (with a fifteen minute cooldown) that spits out a random amount of points with flavor text. (Apparently they have StreamLabs, which for other reasons we'd like to steer away from).

Yeah all seems to be enabled, I might be new to streamelements and ignoring something weird in the overlay editor
but none of my alerts seems to work (they were all 1920x1080 with css for the text positioning for context)

@full carbon i fixed a few of those before, my personal experience: 2 things were broken, positions and variables. But this is deep dark jungle for me, we have a few people who can fix that. All of them offline now.

So, I used SE tips once before and had 1 dono at that time. I moved over to another tipping system and have recently moved BACK over to SE. I successfully imported the donos from said tipping system and it is showing all of the tips in the SE site, but in my "latest dono" ticker (obs/theme bar), it only shows the dono that was done from SE a while back (other donos are much more recent).
The bits/cheers and follows worked perfectly, just the dono isn't working. Any ideas?

You can manually edit the latest tipper in the Data tab of the overlay editor.
Super Moderators are mods that have access to more commands.

@untold pollen you can disable the tts for the gifts via the variation. As for the other spam, check the tts settings in tip settings. Most likely you've enabled it to ignore symbols or the bot chat filter is oreventing the tts. Not sure on that.
@stray veldt either disable pending queue or use approve all but do note that the button "approve all" has a bug recently discovered that flips the queue.
@nova galleon im not sure why you ask that but twitch allows renaming of channels if you want to start with a new name.
But essentials are personality and entertainment. Overlays and design of such define your brand more or less.

- Ground Control app must be running
Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hi guys!
For some time I am facing pretty big problem in my Streamelements Shop. When I try to add item, everything goes smoothly until I want to add some requirements (address etc.). When I add any requirement and try to save the item, after loading for a while, little window appears in right bottom corner and it says "Something went wrong". I tried to relog, switch devices, I tried different lenghts on reqirement description ("Type in your address", "Address:" or just 2 - 3 random letters...) but nothing seems to work. Besides requirements, everything works properly. But since requirements are crucial for all my items, I can't really work without it properly. No one on the internet seems to have similar problem, so I am asking for a help here.
Is it some kind of bug? How can I fix it? Thank you so much for your help...

Open the dev console (F12) and make sure you are tabbed in the "Console" and not "Network" on top of the new window. Refresh the page and try to add/edit an item with requirements
When the error pops up it should pop up in all red in the console.

@radiant grove Twitch prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. help 😦 i downloaded the simplicity super theme ( static ) and im trying toi change the default sound for subscriber alerts. I changed it several times but when im going to test it it only works when i press the 1 month sub and it sounds duplicated.

- Ground Control app must be running
Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

If you are going to be using it for streaming, you are better off building a PC with a Ryzen 5. The i5 (especially mobile) and 1050 are not really great for encoding, even if you are going to be using this just for streaming the console output

The laptop is going to be compositing the whole canvas, and down sampling this on the GPU, and then passing it to the encoder to encode it for the stream, which will either be on the CPU or GPU. As I mentioned, the i5 and the 1050 are not good for encoding, especially when talking on a laptop. Your money would be better spent on a desktop that could better handle the encoding

How can I make an overlay element that shows the current number of subs out of the goal that I have? The Subscriber goal is what I thought to use but it isn't showing the correct amount of subs I have (I have 7 but its showing 1 right now).

the goal tracks the subs you have gotten since you signed up with our service. You can change the goal data in the widget data. You can get there from the overlay editor > data tab, or the activity feed > widget data.

For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime.
