you would need something like a capture card to add an overlay to an xbox stream. OBS would be the broadcasting software where you add the overlay (browser source) and the game being captured from the capture card. OBS would then composite this and stream to twitch

@wooden helm yes. what format do you use for the animation? might need to be converted, but it is possible. If you have multiple animations for the same part, you will have to split them tho (as example, multiple tip presets).

depending on what you are going to stream, you might not get the best quality, and will need to play with and test different things to see what works best

like trying software or hardware encoding

you are going to probably for sure need to target 720p 30 FPS as your output

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Not all of the playlists used belong to the person using them, we just use the youtube URL for the playlist to pull the songs from the playlist

What you're asking would require us to be able to somehow add songs to the youtube playlist, I don't believe that's possible

Possible, but it would be tricky since the playlist has to be owned by the user and it uses youtube api points that we're already being careful about spending since we added searching and backup playlist info. Not to mention all of the calls we make to have SE working for youtube streams.

Its working that way when I test it. I set the layout to text over image, then if I go to text settings and set line height to 0, the text will go to the very top of the alert box. Then as I increase the line height value, it moves down the alert box widget

• I got new graphics and overlays made for my channel and what I want most is instant transitions or at least a clean short transition between scenes. Right now with the "Shutdown source when not visible" setting selected on each of my scenes to prevent multiple alerts going off the load delay and snap loads after 5-7 seconds. All other sources outside SE eg. webcam, bitboss & active game are visible while I wait. To get around this I have been using Studio mode with OBS which also means I can't use my stream deck effectively.

Why does the streamelements stream statistics mail info differ so much from the stream statistics from twich itself? It usually says around 700-800 chatters on the SE mail, but 400~ on my twitch panel for the stream.

We count anyone that shows up in the viewer list (I believe). We are not 100% sure how twitch gets their stats, otherwise we could compare them better

@loud hatch to reset the timer, you would need to reload the overlay that the timer is on. Either by hiding and unhiding it, or switching scenes. As for Ground Control, that is not a necessity unless you are going to rename your SE bot, but it is really hand for things like alerts. It will be rewritten in the near future, and will have even more useful features

I'm trying to test the new media share widget. If i have my OBS open and click on "Show on stream" i get the error "NO ACTIVE WIDGETS WERE DETECTED FOR MEDIA REQUEST". I'm sure i have the right OBS scene open with the right overlay.

@gentle grail Go into your streamelements dashboard and click "My overlays". Create an overlay or open up one of your excisting overlays and go to the overlay editor. Click the "Widgets" button on the left top.

Fint the twitch chat widget there. For your logo choose for instert image

About my question, i figured it out already. The tutorial video that is on there automatically cannot be shown on stream. Other video's can. So it's solved 😃

main cause of something like this would be not having set the shutdown when not active option on the browser sources for the overlay

if you have a browser source overlay in more than one scene, it will trigger multiple sounds if you dont set that

other than that, if you have OBS open, and are testing alerts from the overlay editor, you will hear double sound if you dont mute the overlay editor

Make sure to :ballot_box_with_check: “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). 100% sure, it was in @winter zenith 's stream. Someone requested a song I had previously requested, so I wanted to creep on who requested it, so I did !song, and it gave me the answer.

i just though i could share it if some people experience the same thing

i have just left only one alert box with sounds and i removed the tunes from the other boxes and it works as a charm

it seems that it triggers all of them at once, so that fixed it 😃
