Hey there, I have a problem with the "host"-alert . everytime i get hostet by someone the alert doesnt work. when i'm triggering the alert by myself it works. all other alerts work jsut fine. only the host alert doesnt 😦 you got any idea what i need to do? ^^

Twitch doesn't have a "notification system" for hosts (unlike follows, subs, raids, etc.) so the only way for StreamElements to know that you are being hosted is to connect through you to twitch. This connection is made on:

1. SE Dashboard page - https://streamelements.com/dashboard
2. SE Activity Feed page - https://streamelements.com/dashboard/activity
3. Ground Control desktop app - https://streamelements.com/groundcontrol
   Please have one of these open during your stream in order to receive host event notifications.

so having one of those open, we are basically listening in the convo that you and Twitch are having, and can collect hosts.

Basically, you can tie names to counts, so "A" can be a count, and then you used ${getcount} to just view the count, and not add to it

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

I don't use a Mac but I'll have a go at helping you anyway, you asked if your audio needs to be routed to OBS, is your audio not routed to OBS currently? Seeing as OBS captures and broadcasts your audio i'm going to assume yes it needs to be routed there.

Short (maybe dumb) question about overlays, especially the HypeCup: it used to refill with all the recents events when I started it - but now it no longer does! Anything I'm doing wrong? I did not change anything recently on this particular overlay. Testing events work - fills the cup, but the "old events" no longer go into it.

try increasing the recent events slider on the cup, default is 20, then click reload cup, save and hit f5 on the editor page

also check if u have all events checked to drop something in the cup

Its called PS4 Remote play i think

You need some way to get your PS4 screen to you PC the easiest way and also the more stable way is by using an Capture card

The Elgato H60 is just the popular thing to use I use an old Happauge PVR 2

I think the only difference is how much lag there Is. for me it takes 2200 secondes to get displayed on my PC

I think with the Elgato H60 its instant

And I am not sure how much internet speed it takes to project the Ps4 screen to your PC in 720p 60 FPS 🤷

If you have some money I would advice to buy the Elgato H60 just to be on the safest side and the most easiest side but you can do what ever way you want to

after that you can Download OBS and watch some tutorials on how to manage this program and decide if you want to stream on twitch or Youtube (streamElements support both platforms)

if you are using the PSN Voice Chat it will get transmitted to your PC together with the game sound

Only thing you need to solve is a Audio input source for OBS

bc your voice wont get transmitted to your PC when you are using Ps4 Remote play or an Capture card

maybe a cheap USB mic or another Headset around you neck will solve that problem but I fear you just have to get creative

So basically the way timers work is that you set the online or offline time and then it checks chat lines.

so if you have 10 min online and 10 chat lines

you can have 18 chat lines pass but 9 in the first 10 min and 9 in the second 10 min

and the timer won't go off

The best way to stagger it is to change the interval times as well as the chat lines

if you wanted something literally every 30 min you would just set chat lines to 0

So have a small problem. I've got four custom overlays made. Stream start, game play, afk, and ending. Issue is in obs all the scenes play back follow/sub/host notifications. If I set them to unload then I have this horrible load delay. Any suggestions?

@lament blade click on the browser source, go on properties and tick "shutdown source when not visible"

Right, but that causes a load delay on scene switch and everything loads in bit by bit, it looks awful

I'm going to try a mute macro for when I switch scenes

One option is when you switch, to use a stinger transition. The reason for the delay is the way OBS caches the browser source. As soon as it loads the source, you are good to go

So just need to find a filler for that

@terse oyster the way we pull followers is different than Wizbot. We pull them every 5 minutes (because we have to grab the follower list from twitch, then see who wasn't on there before). Wizbot might be able to do it a bit more often

There are a lot of things that the devs are working on, they are releasing new things like crazy and working super hard, translating the website and ground control, as well as adding other payment methods is something that is definitely on their plans but it takes time to make it happen.

For my tipping page, the recent donations are not showing up in the recent events in my dashboard or in the overlay for recent donations. In the overlay the test donations I did are showing in the recent donations.
