@clever mango Yeah, I'm aware of this 😃 Let's say one of my viewers watched me for 249 hours (according to !watchtime). Viewers get 5/10 minutes, subs get 15/10 mins. He's been a sub for like 150 hours of viewership. According to my math knowledge, this should mean that he has 149x6x5=4470 plus 150x6x15=13500 points. Even if he had been a sub since the start, that would mean 249x6x15=22410. The problem is that he has 47540 points, which is very far-off. 😄 And as I said, these numbers have never been touched! 😃

And some have 30k with like 80 hours of viewership without being a sub which is just insane 😄

And we think the !watchtime command has also got some problems, the viewer I've talked about is actually my "biggest", who's there the most, and it should be rather 400 hours than 250 😃 The maths COULD check out with 400 hours, but then there are still some people with 30k and 80 hours 😄

When viewing the overlay in the browser, it is fixed to the size set on the overlay settings, this makes sure it goes to your broadcasting software the right size

You can always zoom out on the page to see it all

If you have a camera, you need a capture card and it is expensive. Use a webcam like 99% of the streamers out there. Once you grow enough to justify the option like a DSLR+Capture card, you can always switch.

The "default" webcam for streamers is the Logitech C920, was on Amazon for 45$ or so

You need to add the Store Redemption widget to any overlay you want the sounds to play on

Can you add 2 currencies instead of 1? Like 1 for the watchtime they have on your stream and 1 for the donators. Like if they watch 10 minutes they earn 5 Watchcoins and if they donate 1 euro they earn 5 Watchcredits, so that you can optimise your shop for special things for donators?

Twitch doesn't have a "notification system" for hosts (unlike follows, subs, raids, etc.) so the only way for StreamElements to know that you are being hosted is to connect through you to twitch. This connection is made on:

Ground Control desktop app - https://streamelements.com/groundcontrol

Please have one of these open during your stream in order to receive host event notifications.

quick question here, in the audio for the alertbox, i have a custom sound, but that pinging sounds comes through aswell, is there a way to get the pinging sounds to go away?

@lapis peak Do you have any other overlays in your OBS with the default alert boxes in them still? If you tick 'shutdown source when not visible' in the properties of the browser sources then you won't get that

But also, if you have default variations in your alert box still they may trigger with the default ping, so make sure to update your variations in Variation Settings too 😃

I mean there's only 3 possible causes: an overlay without 'shutdown source when not visible ticked', default variations with the ping sound or another alert boxes with default sounds (even if hidden)

I'd suggest trying to refresh your cache just as a shot in the dark, Ctrl + Shift + R on the site or in the properties of the overlay browser source in OBS clicking 'Refresh cache of current page'

Well we did at one point have it so if people were using an overlay then host alerts would work, because the coding that checked for them was built into that, we switched it to be in the activity feed for a few reasons but partly because that can be opened on another device for console streamers whereas they can't use overlays

Sure, you'd have to make sure you mute/remove the sound from it because even if hidden the sound still plays

Of course, if she can have Ground Control open in the background I believe that'd work, it could very well be that mods having it open doesn't trigger it the same as when the streamer has it open, we're looking into it to see if that's the case. But in the meantime that'd be a great experiment

@naive beacon I'm sorry I misinformed you. The streamer will need to have one of the three options open. For security reasons, when logged in as someone else the code is not there to pull hosts but it will be when the streamer is logged in.

@terse whale If you're switching from our competitor then you should see a substantial improvement. If any case it does effect it, disabling Kappagen or using a static overlay can increase improvement.

To give a full explaination I dont believe it was just SE but trying to check everything. I have had issues streaming the last 3 weeks, and thought it was net but from further inspection with a friend it seemed a software and or hardware issue with OBS/Processor. (Before this 3 weeks streaming has been fine been doing so for 4 years) We changed the video setting to lower output resolution and the FPS, as well as the bitrate and encoder setting, but things still seemed off a bit. So as you said @slim cairn will try the static overlay because I am using one that uploads as the stream is on and will also disable the kappagen

Allo! So, I imported my donations from Streamlabs into StreamElements and I'm adjusting widgets on the overlay and added the top donator of all time. However, it is only showing the donation that was made through StreamElements, not the imported ones. Am I doing something wrong?

Do you have the top donator widget set to all time?

Also if it's still not showing the person you're expecting after the widget settings l.. You can total up that person's tips to you and manually add a tip and when you do that, check the imported tip checkbox and it should work

Great stuff @lament blade i was going to tell you the same thing xD as i messed with my recent follower command/settings and got the same thing. I now know not to mess with setting unless its on my test overlay 😃

@upper steeple i don't know if your fault is fixed or not, but before i enabled tippers on my overlay i turned the visibility off on certain things, and when i enabled them i forgot i did this so it took like 3-4 hours to realise what i did like a month before 😃 just wondering if the visibility is turned on? if it is, then as divine did just re-add the widget

@lament blade Only things i am aware of you can upload is a header and background. It then uses your Twitch avatar over the top

@carmine swift No this isnt how it works, Stream Elements is an overlay using a program such as OBS to create the SE look over the game capture. The only way i know to get this working from your PS4 is to game capture your PS4 on the PC and set the PC to stream for you.

@carmine swift sorry I was sleeping :D if the bot is in your twitch channel, the chat commands should work. But if you want to use the overlays, you'd need to have a program that has browser source in it. As in OBS or xsplit :D

@fast sky there is a widget called total followers, it will show your total amount of followers or lastest follower. Then the activity board will show top 5 or however many you set on screen the names of the recent followers. but im sure there may be a way to sort this if you need that specifically. now that @tight harness is here, his knowledge knows no bounds

Quality options are called transcoding and twitch provides them based on availability. There's nothing you can do to control it. Partners get priority over affiliates and affiliates get priority over streamers not a part of either.. @honest charm

What resolution did you put? It should be kept at 1080p on the site and be entered into OBS as 1920 x 1080, you can then use Ctrl + F to fit it to your canvas

Right, so what you'll have done is changed your basic sub alert but not the variation sub alerts, you can do that in Variation Settings at the bottom of that settings window on the left of the overlay manager 😃

Honestly if you're logged in to Ground Control as the streamer with their JWT it might work but there is always the !volume command to change volume

Currently just Paypal but we are in talks with other payment services, these things take a lot of time and there's a lot legalities to discuss with them. We've been talking to various companies to try and offer a wide range of options for people

I have nothing against it, but I happen to be one of the people who doesn't have a credit card to make a Paypal account, so extra payment options always make me happy.

My co-worker told me that even with a debit card we can now create a virtual credit card using MBway or MBnet, but I dont think most people in my country even heard of that before.
