Have you set up the tipping page? Tips through streamlabs wouldn't go through StreamElements.

Once you import the data it should update on StreamElements. It took me a while to get mine the way i wanted as when i tried editing my tips it made duplicate amounts but not duplicate entries and it doesn't seem to show things older than a year or so @sick nymph

${1} would give you say "foo" if the user typed "!echo foo bar"... SE splits input after the command by spaces so ${2} for that example would give you "bar"
if you wanted the user to be able to type "!echo foo bar anything with spaces" and wanted to get the entire input then you need ${1:} i think
${args} in their documentation is short hand for array index position effectively rather than a true variable, which is indeed a bit confusing when porting over from other bots @bright zealot

For overlays, do people generally have a game overlay and alert overlay seperate or in the same overlay?
For example: I have a Overlay UI added to OBS and a seperate overlay added for alerts, but this generates more CPU usage is the only downfall I see to it.

On my overlays, I have different UI videos and locations for the widgets. The only static widget across all my overlays is the alert box. So I was hoping I could just copy the same alert box into each one. The other issue is if I make a change to the alert box, I would have to change it across as well

I have a store item that has a gif animation and an mp3. When I redeem the store item, the mp3 is played from the beginning but the gif animation doesn't start at the beginning, how do I make the gif animation start at the beginning of the sequence when the redemption is triggered?

@fading hazel what I saw it was that the gif if doesn't end at the same time that the notification, the second time, the gif start from the last frame of the first visualization. have to try to sync the notification time with the length of the gif and sound?

thats an idea, the thing is that I know how long all my stuff is , but in streamelements, it only lets me set an INTERGER and doesn<t like me set a decimal... unless I didn<t see properly, let me check

is there a delay when switching the name of the currency? a friend switched and has default as points but changed it to another name and it hasnt changed.

if you want to change the command for checking points, you have to set up an alias in the chat commands section

yes, which is a good thing, because then anyone who comes in your stream will know how to check points. you can also set up the alias to what ever the points name is, so in my case, !puns also checks how many puns my viewers have obtained

it has to be done through the dashboard. The broadcaster clicks the pencil next to the command, and there is an alias field
don't change the name on it, as it could potentially cause problems, just add the alias
