Projected feasibility: Move 6/10 ; Draw Attention 9/10

Impact: With all of the noise of loading, firing, etc. it is easy to miss when new intel comes in. Moving the teletype machine so that it mounted to the map table, or putting an alarm bell on the teletype so that you must go to the machine to turn off the alarm would both draw the players attention to moved spotters and new targets.

Detailed description:
Option #1 - Move teletype machine. The machine could be moved to the far side of the map table so that it can be easily read from interaction side. There is space to the right of the decorative dials. Care would need to be taken to avoid blocking movement around the right-side loading station.

Option #2 - Alarm bell. When a new message is received, a bell begins to ring. The player must go to the teletype machine and interact with the bell to acknowledge the message. This draws the player's attention without reworking the 3d interior, but does take the player away from the map table and forces the player to copy the updates to the clipboard

Extra information:

-EXCLUSIVE FOR GAMEPLAY/GRAPHICS-
(You may remove this with Lore)

Conditions:
Option 1 : always (level design).
Option 2: upon completion of intel update message

Rarity: Option 2: after every 1-2 shots.

-EXCLUSIVE FOR LORE-

Effect: Since this intel teletype is the primary method for informing players about changes to the battlefield, drawing the player's attention prevents the player from missing importing updates, which could not only include spotter movements and new spotted targets, but also lore events, weather/environmental events, changes to rules of engagement, etc.

I thought spotter updates happened whenever you detect a new enemy after firing, are they different things?

There's a second teletype machine to the left of the one that gives you initial orders. It will update every so often with spotter movements (ie spotter 1 moved to E6 1:8) and new targets, even if the targets are outside of your recon photos. It's easy to miss

It can describe things beyond the photos. It will match the photos, since both describe a shared reality

I agree to adding a bell or flashing light, or so, to the teletype machines. An update is indeed easily missed.

A couple of days ago I pointed out in general chat that the secondary "printer" is easily missed even if you hear the sound effect, while Nick was present and he immediately responded that he would/should add a light and bell to it.
So this might already be coming.

An addition I'd like to throw in here is, if you added multiple different lights the messages could even be colorcoded. For example a blue light for spotter movement, a red light for a new target location and whatever else might be needed...

But tbf, a single light and bell would already be a welcome improvement
