Detailed description: The coordinate for target 2 are offmap

Impact: I can't play this scenario and I had to quit.

Reproducible: Not at will but somebody else reported it I think

couldnt replicate but i just ran into that issue aswell on target one of chill mode

It seems like you have miscalculated a few things here, and I am not quite sure which. Based on your points TRP Alpha could be on grid S590, S591, or S592. You have it on S449. Even if it was on S449, you would still have a (wrong) target inside the 11.77 km radius from spotter 1. but your actual target is on a 600m stretch starting on grid O879 and ending on P815. because of rounding error (spotters seem to round their bearing measurements) you would want to scout sector S5 with a plane or Starshell and find the exact location of TRP Alpha and go from there. I would also be willing to help you out if you want in VC.

Perhaps I'm wrong, however it happened again and this time ir was off by like 2km

#

And there is also this problem of given coordinate that don't intersect.

This is what I've got using your instructions, looks like there's two locations where target #2 could be, so I usually use the compass tool first to mark the circle

#

On my map I've marked it out with red2 and red4 as the potential spots for target 2, both are 313 degrees from alpha, and 11.77km from spotter 1

#

For Alpha though, I have a slightly different spot to you

#

Could be that your Spotter 1 was misplaced throwing off all the other lines

Yeah I see

#

This one is surely a skill issue by me but it doesn't change the fact that the procédural génération of coordinate can sometimes be messy

I have actually experienced target off map

It might be usefull for this kind of screenshots to include real info about whats on the map, use star shells or scout, because the issue could be on alphas location or some previous calculation

keen wagon
#

u mean launching them on Alpha?

#

might work

#

btw, what's the diff between scouts and stars, besides price

iron bear
#

stars need to be shot with the gun (in challenge mode will alert enemies), they are usually a single photograph, scouts is a plane that travels in straight line and scouts along the way, without alerting

keen wagon
#

oh neat, how do u "fire" the scout then?

iron bear
#

when you select it on the table you can choose a coordenate (G-6 for example), once launched it travels from the edge of the map (seemengly random location) to the coordinate and photographs in its travel route

all of your targets exist as well, make sure you are not making a mistake when plotting TRP Alpha. This map shows the aprox location of TRP Alpha and targets. its very ambiguous because I cant scout to find exact locations, but you would be able to find them with star shells and scouting in these general areas

#

targets two and three would be found somewhere on the red lines, and target one would be found somewhere inside this circle.

I've seen this as well though luckily just with an enemy artillery.

Information: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz, RTX 3070 8 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10, 2560x1440, 100-110 fps.

Detailed description: Artillery callout by spotters slightly off the board. Re-measured twice before firing HCHE shell, once after. Photos from after shell hits also don't show a target at the expected position on the edge of the map.

There is another artillery nearby which I had prior knowledge of (which is why I put an HCHE between them). But unless the spotters can have a high degree of error, it seems too far away to be Artillery 7.

Impact: Minimal. I might have spent RC on different targets if I hadn't targeted these two with HCHE.

Reproducible: Unknown.

the white triangle is the possible position of arty 7 based on the bearings given

#

So in other words, mission accomplished Salute

I also just encountered this during freeplay, so I do apologize if my map is a bit cluttered, but the the lines going out from spotter 2 and 3 dont meet on the map or even within the 30km range
all data is on the clipboard
the target marker on spotter 2's line is for target #30 not target #34
