Projected feasibility: 4/10

Impact: Probably not very lore friendly but I really think it could be fun and create some dynamic replayability between friends.

Detailed description: I'm imagining a PvP mode where both players choose various locations for important facilities and troops similar to the challenge mode, and once both players are ready they race against each other trying to take out enemy positions fighting against the clock also like in challenge mode which will then expose the enemy nest position to destroy and win.

I think getting this to work multiplayer could be relatively simple, it would just be sharing a version of the world map, various unit positions and enemy shot locations between clients.

It's quite the long shot which is why I decided on the feasibility being quite low but it's just a fun idea for later down the line.

Pending the 'move the iron nest' mechanics, which I am SURE are going to be a thing because they HAVE TO BE A THING, I actually think this would be incredible. Particularly with teams, not just 1v1!

The name of the game is communication, maintaining mobility, firing rapidly, etc. Maybe you can even mix it up so it's like, 1 operator per nest, or 2 operators per nest, etc. Upgrades like 'more spotters' or 'faster spotter reports', etc.

Could also add information to spotters, like "Enemy nest spotted at I3 5:3 bearing 120deg half steam at 0852"

#

Could also add information to nest, like, "Enemy surveillance 0852" so you know you have to move and/or change heading.

Sadly the dev already said that multiplayer probably wont be a thing in ironnest, as it would mean a significant reconstruction of the game. He will put multiplayer into his next game, and maybe, just very maybe if there might be a way to implement it here, he will consider it
