#return shell to magazine

i fell will be too simple then ,for me the fact u cant go back is good because u need to pay attention to ur shells
unloading uncased ammo like that is very very difficult. it can handle pushing. it cant handle pulling on it.. the shell itselfs sits on the rifleing, the charges would break. its just not very feasable, and would take a lot of time if implemented correctly
if it's just the projectile that's easy to do, but once you have a bag dropped there's no going back. this would be a reasonable compromise.
fair
actual bag charge ammo is like that. because you will tear the bag. multi-piece ammunition has that too. oh and combustible cased ammo doesn't like being extracted, unless you want a toasty tank from all the grains spilling everywhere as the projectile is now stuck in the gun with no safe or valid way to remove it without retreat and a big stick.
that depends on the design of the barrel. it the rammer pushes the shell far enough to engage the rifleing i would say its not that easy to extract the shell. if it sits just before, it might be able to pull her back out, but i think thats a shortcut for the devs to just say: you cant unload, and thats realistic enough
there's also the 88cm caliber
All artillery guns when the shells are rammed engage the rifling, just sayin'
to be honest i dont know. i m no artillery expert, just know that for some firearms it does, for some it doesnt. so you could get away with either. but if the rifling is engaged you would have to ram the shell back out from the front right?
Understandable, I was in field artillery so I would know.
In theory yes, the shell would have to be pushed from the other end of the barrel, but for obvious reasons (ease but especially safety) it's easier to just take the L that you loaded the wrong shell and fire it, but realistically those sort of errors are very rare, never happened to me as an example.
