I like your game, it's overall playable and sometimes fun. But let me ask you this, how did you go from a player base of 90% clans in 2005 to a player base of 0% clans in 2021? How did you create a game back in 2005 that was solely based on competition and teamwork and you cannot do that today? How did you go from teamspeak / proximity chat and playing with your best 12 friends, to nothing but silence from anyone else besides your little squad of FOUR? Why do you still have squads in conquest game mode when conquest was created without squads. Doesn't common sense tell you that you can't play a territory-based game mode and allow for players to skip the map? What happened to your in-game clan ladder and clan servers? What happened to 10 clan battle Friday nights? What happened to the days of making fun of people that only played in public rooms? What happened to the vote to kick system where 3/4 of your team could vote out a no-mic player? What happened to team-killing being in core mode? Portal mode is not the save all for clan support when we can't even switch to the squad we want in-game and we can't switch teams. Is that real? Why would you take that out? You missed hard, AGAIN. The disappoint has happened for a decade and a half, every time we hear a new BF is coming out we hope that you will do right for the OG's and we end up with the same disappointment. Perhaps the OG devs are all gone, perhaps these new guys never played in a clan in their life, I dunno, but it's depressing to say the least. I will still play because I refuse to play COD and there is still nothing better, but this game is far from where it once was.

Unfortunately, no. I don’t think they’ll be fixing that anytime before March, to be honest. Let’s all be honest here. Does boosting affect the game? No, does a guy having more guns then you make him better than you? No, because level & skill are not tied together. I’ve beat level 1000 daily on cod, level 500 on battlefield, and all while been level 10-40😂 the reason they blocked xp is stupid. Boosters only ruin the game, for themselves. That’s it

Possibly, but if I remember right there's a cap on how many vehicles there are. Vehicle TDM just increases the maximum value for the number of ground vehicles but idk about air vehicles.

It won't be easy, but I think a combination of "Per AI" modifiers (Ie. if the "EventPlayer" is AI, the base value of all progression earned from it - XP/mastery/etc. is reduced by 50%) on top of that, additional modifiers that globally adjust XP/mastery gains, such as health settings, other tweaks that might make it "easier" to farm.

Then once that's set up, allow it to be open. This way 1HP farm servers would award nothing, but stock or well-intentioned modes can still earn full progression (at varying rates depending on the asymmetrical nature), and if a bot happens to spawn in, kills against them are reduced further

For TDM you could use the Rules Editor, but PVP and PVE bots cannot be mixed currently. The only thing you could do there is to put PVE bots in Team 1 and when a player joins, the bot gets undeployed and deployment restricted for the bot, so it can't redeploy.

This is a huge problem for portal. You can't run a dedicated server so you are forced to stay in the server and play. Even if you just wanna be a host

It is instanced though, so it wont close until the last player has left, but that means that basically all servers will close at least once every day and will have to wait for someone to host the experience again

and you cant even stay afk in your server to make it stay up. It kicks you after 5 minutes

So you have to just sit and wait. Not a lot of incentive to host a server then

My love for Battlefield began with BF2142, which of course I expect in the portal, it would certainly be cool. Then I bought Bad Company 2 and oh god, this is beyond praise, DLS Vietnam came out and i began to wait for others, BUT ... the developers reoriented themselves to BF3, which I so hated. All this time, before the release of BF2042, I played Bad Company 2, starting at 40 fps on an old computer, gradually improving the experience - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s6D7uqQYCI I think that it is not a good idea to combine all factions in Rush of Ages and put them in recommended ones. For example, I like to play Bad Company 2, which I did up to this moment and I hate BF3, but someone likes to play only in BF3. When you try to play Rush of Ages, waiting for your favorite maps, and what happens ... correctly the game crashes or freezes, this is just a mockery now. It is necessary to return it as it was before or .. on the main screen in Portal set beautiful headers with pictures separately for each faction, and when pressed - beautiful list of all modes would open!!!

Here is my server if anyone wants to host this experience feel free. Also any feedback to improve this server would be great. I am trying to run it most mornings and on weekend nights/mornings, but if I happen to not be on it will not show the server when you search it. If this happens and you still want this realistic experience, just host by the code provided, & you can start a server with the same game rules & modifications. You just have to go to portal, scroll right to host, then use the option that says host by code. This should always be the code for my server. I am trying to get more people on this game mode because its really intense, & a fun realistic version. Right now advanced bots fill in until enough are on people are on it. If i notice someone else hosting my server ill just join them rather then start my own. Play fair, & lets get it folks!

I miss the old ranking system with recruit to 5 star general like the golden old days. The old ranking battlefield system felt realistic, it felt rewarding and I remember where running on the map other teammates were able to see your rank on the field, this felt GOOD! Sometimes your own teammates looked up to you on the field as authority and gave you respect for your hard work, this was BATTLEFIELD, seriously i hope EA/DICE considers bringing this old ranking system from the good old Xbox days.

I play in the original Bad Company 2, there the feeling that the character in the game is much more responsive than in Portal Battlefield 2042, I don’t know what it’s connected with, maybe the animation speed in the original is higher, but here this comparable to a nightmare when you want to run away urgently, but your legs are "wadded". Maybe the developers will think and do something effective!

you can level your account in Portal, but there's a level cap in some cases.

and some stuff you can only level and make progress in featured modes.
