If you'll all induldge me for a moment. I just saw a reddit post on the portal sub and they made a good point. This whole disaster with portal quotas would've been prevented if they had just offered a proper rental server program for portal. Giving people an option to host the server under a dedicated hosting provider lightens the load considerably on the free server infra they are using. I still think DICE / EA made a huge mistake with not giving some sort of option for permanent portal servers through a rental program. I know it's a royal pain to get it all set up, but it would've made this experience a whole lot smoother.

Portal still uses the "plus" system. But if the plus system is disabled in game rules it means you spawn with whatever attachment is closest to the center of the plus when you edit your loadout. So set your prefered scope in the bottom slot of the sights, etc

Shame too, because I mostly play the custom portal but now there is no incentive to
