The current Battlefield 2042 Portal servers are in a very poor state.
This means that the Battlefield 6 Portal servers will also be overloaded by too many users. I believe the server persistence setting should be removed.

And after creating a Battlefield 2042 portal server, a bug has occurred that prevents the admin from forcibly shutting down the server. Seeing that these issues remain unfixed, I'm very suspicious of Battlefield 6 as well.

Before you click into the match it will say Full / Moderate / Restricted at the top.
Anything other than full has a 300xp per minute limit.
Moderate allows for mastery up to lvl 12 and battlepass missions.
So its not "full" per say but you can unlock everything

I think you cant do that. You can access them in rule editor but there is no option to edit resupply time or ammo amount. You can enable/disable them and change their world location. So what could work: Disable and enable them for example every 10 seconds (maybe they will get full capacity after disable/enable) or maybe to change the location has this effect

I see maybe there is another and better way. You can make a rule with the Event "OnAmmoBoxUsed". Then you can give the Player more ammo with "SetInventoryAmmo" and then you could try what i meantioned earlier. Disable and Enable this Ammo Box, maybe it is full then. You can access it by "EventAmmoBox"

You would think typing in the code would send you to the original server if it’s persistent/not full first, then create a new server only when no room was available. But with the current settings, even the most completely oblivious person had a siren in their year that you got behind them and about to take them down. I find myself struggling with a catch 22.

I want to run my servers with full XP so people have a persistent destination for the free pass and grinding stuff to tier 1, but I’m struggling to get people to populate it.

Conversely, turning on bots reduces XP to moderate, meaning you can only get to Mastery 12 on weapons and a limited amount of xp per match.

I have a full map rotation including the portal maps, gameplay settings are all vanilla so no funky multipliers. Only things I’ve changed are turning on spectating/spawns, night maps, realistic audio, and team switch.

I have created a game mode on Portal to simulate Battlefield 6 as much as possible - The code for the experience is; AB5QFN

There are a mix of maps, mostly urban and infantry focused, night maps available are on too - Soldier crawl on downed is on, to help "simulate" some degree of soldier dragging even if its janky as fuck, there ARE AI infill for soldiers they're set on intermediate so they should pose a degree of a challenge (or more so) they can also mix with human squads. Everything else is normal, there is limited XP but I dont think you're going to play this for XP.

So okay, you know during the beta how you could grab health off of nearby supports? That was because of their combat medic role, a specialty of the support class.

There is likely also going to be a second specialty for the support class that lets you grab ammo off them.

The medic specialist can run around with a carbine or whatever reviving people, while the ammo specialist can stick with an LMG and be the fire support dude

At the end of the day, the lines are all kind of blurred since everyone can revive each other in their squad

You could probably get away with running a squad of just engineers and supports the way things are currently structured

Recons have always been more of a soloist role; either sniping or doing long flanks. That hasn’t changed

Assaults can either be the point man or one man armies. They’ll probably come more into play on CQB maps where there’s less vehicles involved

But for a typical Conquest squad I’d probably go

Guy 1: Support, Medic Specialist
Guy 2: Support, Ammo Specialist
Guy 3: Engineer, anti-armor/structure
Guy 4: Engineer, anti-air

Maybe one of those engineers switches to mechanic if y’all got a vehicle

Will we be able to create custom games, maybe not in the same way as Fortnite or maybe it is, but let's say I want to make AI scripts to have CoD Zombies in BF Labs on a custom created Map we have to shoot and buy Weps and open new territory with currency, I think we all have played Zombie Mode to know what I am getting to :D

If you want you can start practicing via YouTube tutorials (scripts, 3D placements...) I think Portal will probably have assets to download, but for now you can use free assets or make them yourself. And train you.Don't worry, it's quite simple.

Considering they haven't announced everything you can do, I'd say you're jumping to conclusions. As for "fast XP crap", who cares? Most of those are shit anyway and when you can get full XP in actual portal maps, you'll see more of those populated. If you don't want to play BF6 though, then just don't? No one is forcing you to do it.

nah the game is fire i just think the way they are handling the "portal" thing is wack. did you play 2042? the bf series in general was just way better back when people could rent dedicated servers.

i just want the days of having a clan/comp scene and playing with the same people on your server you always play on to be back

I did play 2042 and portal had potential but was lacking. If they had actually done more with it, it would have been better. They did say you can keep servers persistent in this which shows they did listen to some of the complaints from 2042. That and verified experiences that can be adjusted some and still give full XP will get us back to what we had in BF4. Of course there will be dipshits trying the XP server crap but it's not going to be popular overall when people actually want to play live matches. As for clan stuff in Battlefield, overall gaming has changed in a major way since that has been popular and unfortunately most of it is now all about the major ones that might as well be sports teams etc that everyone knows about. It went from being community based like I in the past to an e sports focus.

I just signed up for battlefield labs for the second time. I tried signing up the first time to test battlefield labs and bf6 to get on the team of testing battlefield six for early access before the open beta (but I also played all early access and both open beta weekends).

What’s the chance of me getting on to test battlefield six with Battlefield labs this time around? I signed up for battlefield labs before July 31 to try and get in the first time but I didn’t - and I just re-signed up again.

He just saw that there has been 11 Lab tests and he randomly managed to join one by coincidence after the first one, but he has never gotten information about new testing times other than the very first email and test. Every different playtest requires a different invite once selected I believe. Meaning just because you playtested previously doesnt automatically mean youre invited to the next one even if its the same game. Unless you recieve an email. It'll show up under Playtest Available

Interesting. I read online (claims, not personal experience) that people who have been in a previous Labs test are able to join any new tests, even if they dont get specific email invites for them. Is there anywhere where you can see when a new playtest is available for others, even if you dont get a personal email?

Yeah definitely not happy about the lack of transparency on this as those that were in labs for early access are not all being invited to this and the information was limited as if we were already supposed to know. Not everyone gets to sit at home all day and play video games. Take note EA when you label ppl as labs players clarify if it's temporary.
