No the critic was more on the “double sprint” so hit sprint to do the standard sprint, then double tap the sprint button to bring weapon vertical to sprint but faster, yes it was a slower sprint to fire time BUT that’s a legit tactical manoeuvre done IRL (I done it many a time)

So movement from what I’ve seen last night is kind of like a more toned down Arma but better BF4

Superhero landing isn’t just a killer in the knees, it’s a slow unavoidable animation, you are vulnerable, this new “combat roll” animation still lacks firing time BUT your still moving and not as stationary so the animation to fire time is much shorter as to enhance the combat feel of the game

Ban based on Hardware ID. It is possible based on what Nvidia said. The Hardware ID would be blocked even on driver level to block them from playing any other games. Even for resellers it is no problem because they can check the hardware upfront via a database. So possibilities are there.

For Battlefield 6 Multiplayer, I understood that we have to have enabled TMP 2.0 and Secure Boot. This is not a problem. The problem is if VBS and HCVI have to be enabled also? Because with them enabled, I can not undervolt my laptop CPU. I'm using a program called ThrottleStop which is for undervolting Cpu's only and with VBS and HCVI ( Core Isolation ) enabled, undervolting won't work. Thank you!

I would assume that the beta/playtest just have curated rotations for now, but that through community feedback they will integrate the portal/servers more into the game.

I also read on the BF website that through a certain program, you can "rise through the ranks and have your mode be an official gamemode".

This feels promising, and they seem to want to embrace the user content. Similar to how in Trackmania, user made maps and modes are tightly integrated with the game's core gamemodes and their live service model

I just found a way to determine if your account is registered for early access, I downloaded my EA data from my account and it shows under "entitlements" "beta_earlyacess" STATUS "ACTIVE" and it will show you the date its been redeemed

You access that info through the myaccount.ea.com then go to security and privacy, then click download your EA data and just give it some time and it should pop up a HTML doc and there is the info to show that the beta early access is active and on your account

It's currently the only server browser in 2042. As to what the server browser will be in 6, it may be more like older titles or like it is in 2042

Portal 2.0 should separate crazy custom modes, from modes hosted which match "Official" mode presets.

Any player should be able to open the browser, hit the "Official" tab, and be shown all available servers which match the "core battlefield" experience. Then be able to filter those servers for the map and mode they wish to play.

Custom modes, or modes with altered maps shoud be placed in a separate "Custom Games" tab. Which would operate the same as above, but let players know that the modes they enter will be using custom settings/rulesets, or map layouts.

There isn't a simple answer to this. Some reasons that contributed to this are:

• key figures of bf studios left after or during the end of bf1, replacing those isn't easy and takes time. It takes months to set up properly, get used to the workflows, engine, pipelines, habits, etc. This is time lost or not efficiently spent on the next title
• a clear art direction from the beginning is key to making a good game in time. If art directors and producers leave, this can get a bit chaotic or not well structured (no idea how it is/was)
• at least on bf2042 they heavily underestimated the workload, not sure what exactly went wrong but in the end EA just threw every possible dev studios on this (for example NFS got delayed because they started working on bf2042), but throwing more devs onto a problem, doesn't mean it's getting faster dev time. It means more meeting, more coordination, more time doing stuff outside of actually developing. In this case it got a bit chaotic which I can honestly totally understand

Those are just a few reasons that I'm aware of, there's probably a lot more. Blaming the devs or saying that xyz studio made it better doesn't help anyone though.

I'm not sure he understands what goes into development of anything and how management, deadlines, delays etc can impact a project overall. 2042 was a nightmare and they definitely oversold the title and under delivered when they realized it was in development hell which is why it took so long for the seasons to start after it released. Unfortunately several Battlefield games from 3 onwards had rocky launches but 2042 was much worse overall than the 5 prior ones.

I'm not working on bf games. Currently having a contract with Valve as we released a Counter-Strike 2 map not too long ago and apart from that working at Running With Scissors.
