For anyone who is interested, I’ve created a Rapid Strike server in Portal to continue the legacy of the game mode. I balanced the weapons even further, 3 shot assault rifles, 2 shot dmr’s and 1 shot bolt action snipers. 64 player conquest on all 19 maps. I’m currently in the server right now on Portal, you should be able to find it under the “conquest” tab.

I made a 128 Large Conquest BF3 VS Bad Company 2 gamemode w/ PVP A.I. on Advanced, tac sprint and sliding w/ 1.5 increase on headshots, 0.5 on fall damage and 1.2 increase on body to help make TTK a bit faster, every weapon and attachment unlocked, and crawling w/ squad revive

not that I'm aware of - the other opportunity you have is to say that every squad needs to consist of different classes - this would limit the class overall as well

When official servers are hosted on the front menu they will have full XP no matter what modifications have been made, even if the editor has been used.

The server browser can be a bit funny. We've seen people reporting the same issue in the Portal Discord. I would recommend not having symbols in the server name where possible

It's mostly playable at the moment. Keep in mind I am working on the code right about now. All you need to do is get the experience code, go to Portal -> Host, on the top you should see Experience Code and then you'll have to manually type out the code

because people try to trick you into servers 😉 - the tags you see in the serverbrowser are facts. When building portal experiences in the browser, the utility currently shows Full XP right now, which is a bug

Play like your in real life And currently serving a tour in the military don't just run into the objective or blind corners. Play with headphones and set your in-game audio settings to 3d so you can hear what's around you. You also want to use your team gamertags to figure out what's happening if one dies you can combine that with the audio queues to hear and figure out where the enemy is advancing and what to anticipate. Stick with your squad or team mates the bigger the group the more likely you will survive.

Do you try to host with an experience code, or your own experience? With nearly every patch of the game the portal experiences get invalidated and the author needs to re-save them to make them valid for hosting again. Untill this is not done, you might get the undefined error

I need help building a gamemode, someone who is more proficient than I.

I'm trying to build a Juggernaut mode based in bf2042 free-for-all.
At game start, one player is randomly selected to become the Juggernaut, their inventory is overridden, their health is increased, and when they get a kill, they get 5 points instead of one. When the Juggernaut dies, the person who killed them becomes the new Juggernaut.

Things I have working-
-Set target score to 150
-At game start, randomly select one player to be the Juggernaut
-Force inventory change on the Juggernaut
(change primary, secondary, remove character specialty, class gadget, open gadget, and throwable)
-Set max health to 750

What I need help with is the following:
-The Juggernaut needs to be permanently 3d-spotted to the rest of the lobby
-When the Juggernaut dies, all players go back to the deploy screen (optional, not sure if I want to keep this feature yet)
-When the Juggernaut dies, the person who killed them becomes the new Juggernaut

In the portal section of the game you would either have to search for a server running that mode, or host your own server using the experience code given on the website (AA1B2A). As the given experience was last updated before a recent patch, you're most likely not able to host it. To get around this issue, you can open the experience Edit-link on the website and save your own copy of it and then use that for hosting (Edit-Link: https://portal.battlefield.com/experience/package/era?playgroundId=8bb0f970-4f07-11ed-af10-d3b271b3fd0a).

I opened a new Server called "BF2042 REFRESHED | NO SNIPERS | FULL-XP"

The settings are oriented to bring more balance into BF. My main goal with this server is, to deliver a good middle between Infantry and Vehicles. But there are also some general balancing optimizations.

  • It takes more time to spawn in vehicles
  • vehicles deal 10% less damage
  • disabled the vehicle call-in feature
  • 30% slower vehicle HP regeneration speed

These changes to vehicles are made to reduce the number of vehicles per map, and make them more valuable. It will be more rewarding, when destroying them.

Other general balancing changes:

  • disabled sniper rifles (DMRs work)
  • players have 120HP
  • friendly fire enabled (killing 3 team mates will result in a 60 sec cool down and you will insta die)
  • players can only spawn on the squad leader, squad leader can spawn on all
  • reduced movement speed by 10% (original BF movement speed)
  • 30% slower player HP regeneration speed

These changes are made to improve the overall gunplay. The 20% increase in HP will make certain weapons not be as overpowered.

Friendly fire is enabled, which will improve how people will push in certain situations and interact with their team. You need to be careful, when spamming explosives near your team, or where you stand while shooting.
Any trolls will get kicked or banned from the server!

The spawning change makes the squad leader more important.
With this, you will only be able to spawn on the leader, otherwise on objectives or spawn beacons. The leader can spawn on any squad member! When you kill a squad leader, it will be rewarding now. This will also make squads work together more then before, and spawn beacons will be more valuable.

Hello! First time posting here before Season 7 comes out!
I recently tried making a co-op game mode inspired by New World Interactive's Insurgency's Checkpoint. I'd love to share it here and take any feedback you have for it.

Here's the code: AA4AND.

Insurgency: Battlefield (8 Player Co-op)

  • 8 BF3 players vs. many bots. (Also made it so 3 bots help teams with less than 4 human players).
  • You capture points one at a time with a five minute time limit between each point. If you capture all the points in the map, you win.
  • To capture a point you need to get on the point and clear the area of all enemies to have the point count as a capture.
  • You are part of a one life squad between capturing points, meaning if you die, you respawn only if you capture the next point.
  • Each capture point has a chance to have you defend for a certain amount of time or require you to arm an MCOM.
  • Spectator mode is on when you die.

Just created a Server! Created it so there is a NA side Rush Large in Portal because the others are not.

**PlayStation only persistent server in Asia? Want it? Anyone ? **

Tried this in Reddit, but got auto-removed for some reason. Anyway... I love Battlefield, even this one. Started in season 5, so missed all the controversy. But, in Thailand, Southeast Asia, Asia-at-large... console-only servers are totally empty. And, console-only portal servers are near non existent or super far away, especially from here. And, going up against cross-play PC players without gyro just is not fun (inb4 skill, it's just a better input method for aiming). Dice clearly doesn't care about adding gyro. I'd actually buy the battle pass just to set up a server for PlayStation players in the region, but... are there any?

I'd make it 64 player conquest, all the modern maps, and... that's it. Bot fill in of course. Done; still moderate XP (max for any "custom" portal server). I played a few console-only games via portal, and it was so much more fun. But, latency was at like 250+ ms. But, even with that still far more fun than getting 5 hits in 10 milliseconds from PC players. MW3 sucks, IMHO. I tend to only play multiplayer FPS games. Getting into Helldivers 2 (has gyro, btw), but... would love to still play 2042 and have fun with it until the next release, which is likely a ways off. So... anyone? Anyone? If I build it, will you come?

I've yet to see or hear any kind of long-term group of people here or elsewhere that goes 'portal mode is worth playing'. It's not, the original Bad Company 2 multiplayer will never be replicated because that was designed by people who cared about their players, Portal and the rest of 2042 was built for money and greed. Hello! I’m messaging here to ask anyone if they know how to make a specific vehicle/vehicle weapon do more damage, or at least for someone to let me know it’s possible.

What I’m looking to do is make it so that the cannon (just the GAU-8 main gun, not the rockets or missiles or anything.) to kill tanks with 2-5 shots to the vehicle.

The only ways that I can think of after exploring everything I know about the experience creator, is to increase all vehicle damage with the vehicle damage multiplier, or to lower vehicle all vehicle health.

Both of these kinda but don’t really work, they definitely aren’t ideal. The main reasonings behind them is that the all vehicle damage multiplier would mean that any AA fire to the A-10 would kill it quite fast too, not just the tank on the ground. And same goes for lower all vehicle health.

The only way I could think would be to go into the files itself and tinker around, but then you might accidentally make your game unplayable due to unauthorized editing of game files (idk if that’s true, but it would make sense)

so in order to keep your sever up as a "persistant" server you need to own the premium battle pass. There is no battle pass. So you have to host your server and stay in the server for it to stay up. But if i join it and go afk it kicks me. In the portal creation thing where you make your server, there is no afk timer that you can change. What are some methods to not getting kicked. I just want my server to populate.

Hello all! I'm trying to start up a Rush 1000x DMG Server as they seemed to disappear a few months back. Hopefully this is still something of interest to players although I'm having a nightmare creating it without there being restrictions to XP.
Can someone give me some pointers to where I am going wrong?

There is Vehicle Team Deathmatch, actually

But you might be better off using Custom Conquest, Air Superiority or Tank Superiority as you have better control for how many vehicles are on the field. You'll have to disable all objectives though which is easy even if you don't know how to use the editor

Also something to consider that the website does have presets that you can edit with custom code in it to give you a bit of an idea how things work

Reasons of why that’s the way it is. When the game dropped, people were abusing getting T1 skins with AI. Speed running the grind and effort.

No they will not revert the change ever since they implemented it in pre season.

Ha I gotcha. In that case, I'd like to suggest any change to the Portal server browser so that the top 50 recommended servers are anything other than XP farms. It makes it impossible for actually fun portal servers to get noticed at all.

I noticed there is no block to disable MCOMS for a team for example if there was 1 MCOM A on the map I wanted to create a rule for both teams so if one of the teams reaches a certain rule they get first get access to arm the mcoms. Right now if any of the teams reaches a certain rule they both get access to arm the mcoms. It's somewhat ok with the bots because the bots don't know how arm the mcoms they only know how to defuse the mcoms

something on is wrong with the deployment button on all of my game mode in Portal. When the game starts I can deploy when pressing the deployment button but when I try to do it again for the second time the deployment button does not work I have to press escape once to go back one option then press escape again to go back to the deployment screen in order for the deployment button to work. I have tried to update all of the experiences & tested it & still the deployment button is not working properly. I also tried to force deployment with some blocks & it does not recognize it. Error logs are all empty on all of the modes
