Only 1 teammate needs to extract for the whole team to carry on their streak and get the mission accomplished screen.
A tactic most good teams do, is get 1 teammate out at E1 so the other 3 can carry on risk free and wipe the server.
There are also numerous bugs which can cause E2 to bug out or not count if there's multiple teams in the VTOL. Getting out at E1 is pretty important IMO to get to high streaks

You could get rolled up on by a squad and be wiped within 2 minutes, or you could go the full 16-18 minutes which is when the second osprey leaves.

if you are actually never getting a game it's more likely to be an issue on your end. You will have to wait on the loading screen for aprox 5 mins anyway but if you are doing that and not dropping out early, i'd assume it's an issue with your ping

Depends on the time when you play according to your region. Maybe not many people on that play HZ.
Try to turn on Cross-play, maybe you're more lucky if it search across all platforms.
