It’s really tough. I’m not low level but this mode is major sensory overload for me and I have such a rough time with it. So I feel extra bad for people who are trying it out for free on Game Pass or EA Play or PS Plus. It’s definitely a lot to jump into

God awful indeed. I pulled my hair out getting the 5x extraction streak for the background I wanted, then DICE changed the image with this season (much worse imo)

I just need 8 more successful extractions if I counted correctly, I'm stuck on it because playing with randoms you get absolutely nowhere or you'll get somebody to help you but then they refuse to use a mic so we can communicate and coordinate properly yeah pinging enemies and other targets helps but not that much this mode needs full communication or else you're really not going to be successful at it

It's a different type of royale mode that has an objective to it. Also, If played correctly it can be more on the relaxing side.

I got into a squad with randoms yesterday where all 3 spent the entire game fighting a tank with small arms fire. I redeployed them I think 6 times before we finally wiped. They wouldn’t listen to anything I said about where to go or what to do, just would parachute back to the tank to fight it. Very fun

It’s not important to extract the drives, as you can extract without them.
There are 8 squads of 4 players who will fight each other for one of the two extractions or for both, and until the extractions are revealed on the map, you can go hunt the other squads to wipe them and increase your extraction chances, but you can also go to collect drives.
It’s a more tactical mode and it’s best to be played with a squad you know

Syncing your actions is very important so communication is a must

No, the drives are not important. They only give you extra credits which you can use to buy weapons in the next rounds. What’s important is to survive and extract. It’s enough for one squad mate to extract in order to win the round

So, I spent roughly 5 straight hours in matchmaking overnight on XB1/PS4 crossplay and never got a game. That includes when I formed a squad and we waited so that fewer people were leaving. Not one game. Raising the minimum to start a match has ruined this game mode.

Imagine, the higher your extraction streaks the better gear - and if losing streaks you lose the gear.

Would also be cool to have exclusive stuff to buy from the points you earn, not just for the gadgets and weapons you use inside Hazard Zone but being able to spent them on cosmetics, tags or backgrounds outside of Hazard Zone.

That way devs could keep the gamemode fresh by adding more and more over time, and keep having returning players.

It was 16 before the 4.0 update, and I’m not sure why they changed it to 12 then reverted back the change. Maybe they deceased it to 12 by mistake or because they saw an increase in players and decide to revert it back. Who knows

Serait meilleur en anglais mais bon exception.
Hazard mode, ton équipe doit récupérer des disques durs. Tu es face à d'autres équipes.
Tu as deux évacuations : E1 en premier, puis plus tard E2. Ce sont les seuls moments où tu peux quitter la map avec tes disques, sinon c'est perdu.
Si un seul coéquipier survit (réussi un evac, c'est comme si l'équipe avait gagné avec les disc durs que le survivant a).

There's no 1 North America server. It's actually Eastcoast or Westcoast servers. Just so the others know. If you set your vpn midwest it could randomly pull you to either side but usually east. I always set mine to NJ/NY or LA/Van then Belgium for EU and Japan for Asia!

In HZ you have two extractions and you have two fight for one of those. Either hunt the other squads and eliminate them or do the best to eliminate them when the plane lands and secure your extraction

Call of Duty is a lot easier to play, because there is no learning curve. It is quiet literally, the same game each and every time. Exact same maps, just reskined, same movment, same everything. There is nothing new to learn with it. With Battlfield, each game you have to learn all over again. Frankly, I would rather learn something new each time. Kids love CoD because brain death is more important then fun. This however is my opinion, but if you would like info on the CoD maps being a carbon copy, youtube is full of videos breaking each map down to the wire frame and showing how they are the same.

If you don’t play it, it doesn’t mean other people don’t play it. I have 500+ hours in HZ and there are player with way more hours spent in that mode. The mode is fun if you know how to play it

I suppose the game has a more serious tone during gameplay, especially in titles like BF1 where you can actually feel like youre in war instead of running around with your anime gun with a holographic sight during WW2

This is why people trash Hazard Zone because it actually requires skill and team work which not most of players can do. It’s the only mode where you can experience that old BF teamwork experience

And trophy hunters, TBH not so many people will carry you only because you want the trophies. You either learn to play and focus on the objective, or you better create a trophy-hunters squad and try to play together

After you play a round, you can see the players in the Social tab, under the Recent Player drop-down

Playing during the day (EU region) is a bit easier since there are not so many good players online (work and stuff)
Find someone who can team up with you at the same time so you can play together and work on the streak

In the beginning it’s a bit harder since you will learn the mode and find the strategy that suits you better, but after a while, you will get better

Everyone went through that

And the most important advice is not to focus on the streak as it will distract you from the main objective, therefore it will decrease your chances to extract

Focus on eliminating squads if possible and extracting

Sooner or later you will get the 10 streak or higher

Well, not always but it’s worth a try. Most of new players don’t know they can redeploy the squad mates in case someone dies

But keeping the team alive is important

You can’t go alone against other squads as it’s almost impossible to take them out
