He does not go with the team fighting

just sits in the back and redeploys if the rest die

And you try to put one guy on E1

You only need one guy on extraction and it will count for the whole team

If all 3 die at E1 anchor redeploys and you go for E2

I struggle with anxiety, depression and self confidence but love competitive games. My best idea for hazard zone clean exit work around would be to get 16 people to all turn cross play off and join a game on their console. That way everybody could just peacefully extract aside from the AI. Obviously easier said than done

@barren stump I wouldn't start this game with Hazard Zone because you'll need to learn the map, guns, specialists, vehicles, etc. Otherwise you won't have a good time because more experienced players will hunt your entire team down easily. You have limited lives in this mode. I agree with ermiya to start off in Conquest or Breakthrough to learn.

I'm on ps4 and I haven't been on hazard zone in 2 weeks and I had no problem getting matches as long cross play is turned on, I still have one more trophy in hazard zone to earn, it's the extracts 20 different times or 25 different times and I'm at like somewhere between 9:00 and 12 times I've done it so far as long as I get that trophy Platinum is guaranteed if anybody wants to group up with me please let me know

Unfortunately it is just one of those things. The extraction is always a cluster. Sometime teams always make for E2 they kill teams in E1 so that they don't respawn for E2. It's just part of the game. However sometimes E1 is quiet, we have extracted several times just because people are too busy fighting over cards. If you are in a team it's worth getting to extraction early and set one or two players to sacrifice themselves for the team. Especially if they don't have cards. Make sure you have a Boris with his sentry and find and call in as many dogs as you can. They hang about the plane and are always handy to kill incoming players or AI. 👍 Keep pushing mate.

Well I was playing Hazard zone with some randoms. We were all filled up on drives, we killed like half a squad then the other two ran away in an extract. Then as we were going for the extract it was packed to the brim with AI.

Of course we took the car elevator up so we had no way of knowing until we got to the top and got gunned down.

I can understand why this game mode isn't so popular to be honest.

I understand. I believe that adding AI opponents is a good thing—otherwise the game might feel a bit stale at times, with no opponents near you—but the devs needs to wind it down when it comes to the AI’s aimbot. Twice I’ve been gunned down by the AI mini gun vehicle in less than one second.

The map was exposure with the vehicle elevators. There was an extract at the very top of the vehicle elevator and as soon as we exited we drove up, got out, and all died within 30 seconds.

I didn’t even notice there was AI until I was dead.

It might have been players honestly I couldn’t tell.

It’s just frustrating because A. No one plays this game mode, I’m lucky if I get even a single match a day.

And B. I’m an achievement hunter and that includes (sadly) the hazard zone achievements.

To be honest I played since launch, this mode had a dedicated group of 800 people on discord who played this religiously, they still do..after a certain point they stopped extraction and just farmed kills..between both extraction points they still do it and that's the only "fun" they have

If you have a 4 man squad you talk to, a 5 streak is quite possible to get fast. Depending on enemy teams too. Only the 10 streak i would say is more difficult because it's a long way to go where you have to be consistently good. But 5 you sometimes reach faster than you think.
I even got up to a 4 streak one day with 3 random players without communication. @rich grove

For me it was just like a nice challenge, because i wanted to unlock all pictures and titles in the game. That's why i got all the 5 streaks done.

And by now i enjoy HZ more and more if you keep playing with a full squad and communication.

So i might try to get each character now from 5 to 10 streak now, just to challenge myself with something.

@wintry torrent @blazing horizon well, make sure you search for a game with "crossplay" enabled. Without crossplay you'll most likely not really find anything with enough players.
Also make sure to look during a time when it's most common that people play video games in your server region.

Besides that, if you don't have any luck but you don't mind too much about the ping, you can see if you have any friends in BF2042 that are in a different region than you. If they have games more often, join a squad with them and let them be the squad/party leader/host so it'll search for a server in their region.

@stable kernel for a extraction streak of 5 with each specialist, you can unlock a background for the playercard and with a streak of 10 with any you can get a title/tag for your playercard.

Within HZ itself, all the streak does is it gives you a discount on the equipment you have to buy before every match. Than higher the streak then more % discount you get.

Basically Tarkov. You deploy with your squad somewhere randomly around the map, you have to gain some points and then you have to extract using a random, limited spot on a map before anyone else.

There should be an in-game tutorial for that 🙂 just like for other gamemodes, check it out

To find games on Hazard zone i suggest finding a free or cheap VPN.
Eastcoast, Westcoast, EU and Asian servers.
I'm currently in Japan. SO in the morning here i set it to Eastcoast then in the afternoon the West. Then i play Japan servers followed by EU servers.
I never have a problem finding games. The problem is that the game doesn't allow you to select regions. If you're computer savy you don't actually need a VPN.
Just youtube it. Hope that helps!

Hey guys, new guy here. I was just playing HZ and it always ends as a successful extraction if at least one of the team members got on the chopper.

Last game I boarded the chopper alone while the others were doing their thing and I got extracted. Got the mission accomplished screen, but then my screen changed to spectator mode and I was watching the others play?

2 minutes later I got another mission accomplished screen.

However it’s frustrating when there are players who don’t know what to do or how to redeploy

I had a game the other day where it was only my squad and one other left and our last member alive didn't know know how to revive us. Literally ran around grabbing redeployment computers (ended up with four of them) until he died to AI and we got eliminated. Most frustrating thing ever! Especially since they were close to level 90 already!! How do you not know at such a high level! Ughh

IMO the game does not provide proper information how to play the mode or what needs to be done, so if you play alone, you need to learn all the tricks over time

not exactly, some of them will unlock during the gameplay, I have some achievements on XSX, when I started playing on PS5 they popped up when I do some things connected with the trophy, for example I had achievement for killing 20 enemies by melee, to unlock this on PS5 I had to kill one enemy by melee etc.

Having a good squad definitely helps or even everyone talking with mics to each other. Also it might be easier to go for E2 instead of E1 since E1 can get pretty hectic

Having a dozer in the squad definitely helps during the extraction part

Since they can guard the ramp with his team behind him since enemies teams love to throw everything they got to the squad in the plane

Yeah right now isn't the best time. Late afternoon is pretty good time. But this mode was dead before the playstation plus users came around. You couldn't find any games and you needed 16 players so it was even worse lol.

Also use rangers! They are especially useful at the extraction zone since they will stay right outside the plane guarding it from people rushing it. I've seen rangers get so many kills at this part. You can even have more then one out too.

If you have no explosive gear, better stay always from the tank. Best way to take it down is use Sundance’s tracking-grenades but make sure to get the grenade upgrade so you can carry 6 grenades.
Or get C5 with any specialist and smoke your way to the tank then blow it up

The M5 launcher works too, but you need 4 rockets to take it down

It’s best to find a squad as with randoms it’s only about luck, unless they know how to play the mode.

It’s kind of like Escape from Tarkov. That kind of thing. You go in with a basic loadout or you buy guns and such using currency that you earn playing the game mode. And you’re trying to find data drives and extract on one of the two helicopters that show up early on and then 11 minutes in. All while competing with other squads (usually it’s like 2-3 squads, it’s not very populated when I play anyway) and fighting AI soldiers as well. It’s quite fun actually

If your squad wipes twice you just straight up fail and you just get currency from any kills and things like that. And then you hope you do better next game

I had it one time when we extracted successfully, and it says "extracting" and after that sceen it said mission failed 🤣

Also like on Renewal there is a one glitched spot where you have to jump in between second 1 - 0 left before takeoff, or you will die.

Try to get one out on E1 if u can and the others protect the plane, so the streak is save. That's what we usually do, and the whipe rest of the squads after, and still get E2 too

PBX, AM40, Avancyc / SPH launcher / smoke / additional grenade upgrades and a redeploy uplink
Dozer would be the best option, then Paik, Irish, Sundance

However, it is not really about the load out, it is about the squad you are playing with

You can can extract even by playing with factory M5 and no upgrades. It is all about teamwork and communication

High rate of fire and damage, plus they are good for different encounters. Mostly close to medium combat, but if you got good aim, you can even snipe with them

DM7 is good, but in close encounters against an SMG or an AR, your survival chances are pretty low

That’s why I usually gravitate toward LMGs or ARs (or DMR) but I’ve been having issues with hitting anyone at range. My aim is crap yeah but idk. Something feels off

Well, this mode should be played more aggressively. You wipe more squads, you have higher chances yo extract because there won’t be a lot of squads rushing to the plane

Camping and rushing to the extraction in the last minute does not really work most of the time

Especially if there are good squads in the lobby

Yeah lately there have been a lot of hackers too. Weird squads all with similar names and high S ranks who behave really weirdly

If you play together with other friends and you know you are not very good or if there are good squads in the lobby, it’s best for someone to stay behind and safe, so in case the squadmates are killed, the anchor can redeploy them

So the squad avoids being wiped

This meaning that three people hunt, one stays safe

And in case you did not know, use smoke when redeploying, because it hides the redeployment icon

As otherwise, everyone will know where is the player that redeploys, so they will try to take him down

My biggest problems are my aim and my awareness. As I get older especially, I have cognitive/reaction time issues from ADD and some medication I take so especially in HZ where there’s little cover and everything starts hitting the fan from all directions quickly I end up wondering what’s even happening and then I’m dead before I even see anyone half the time
