Far from perfect. Nowhere near it. You just had a preference for it, and it's objective fact that you don't need to restrict guns to classes to balance them. It doesn't even make it easier to balance because now you have to worry far more about balancing classes. It's easier to balance classes when the class is defined only by it's traits and gadgets.

Incorrect. The role of different classes seldom has to do with their range, so why would the ranges of different weapons have anything to do with the class. It's not like I'm going to choose to engage the enemy at a shorter range if I use an engineer rather than medic in BF4. Yet I can't use an assault riffle as an engineer in that game. It's an arbitrary and nonsensical restriction. Not to mention many weapons have overlaps in their ranges. Hell, I can quick scope with bolt actions if I use a lower zoom scope. I can use any gun however I want.

What's boring is having to play a class because its the only one with the gun I want. Quite frankly, your arguments make very little sense and seem like haphazardly thought up justifications for why you want to go back to classes. It's just what you were used to I suppose.

If their gadgets are more powerful, why can't there just be then classes with more powerful gadgets and that's it? Also, there are way too many specialists, idk why'd you need so many for fullfilling combat roles if there are basically just four or five at most. I said that specialists aren't battlefield, not the hooks. Isn't grappling hook a selfish gadget which is used pretty much only by the user unlike reviving and stuff? Sure there are support/medic-like specialists but still. You literally read most of it wrong it seems lol.
