AOW will be what you play when 2042 is in it's prime, which is right now until the dnext bf comes out. I think it is technically the main mode. Portal will keep 2042 alive in the long run though. Portal is essentially the equivalent of your BF4 server browsers, but much much more robust

It can still hover over tanks, it can still clear objectives that are holding infantry, easily.

It's a transport, there's really no need for it to be a better attack heli.

Is it just me or is the game consuming too much GPU?

Before the update it used to take about 70% of my GTX 1650 and run at a very stuttery 30 FPS (because CPU was at 100%). Now the GPU is being bottlenecked and the CPU is at 90 to 100% (it's an i5 9400F btw)

That makes it so if I look at a smoke and some fighting's going on in a bot lobby, the game drops under 20 FPS!

The tracking speed seems kind of inconsistent sometimes it'll zip wicked fast and make almost a sharp 90° turn and then other times it's the slowest rocket ever like Liz's controlled rocket it's really hard to judge

If you really wanted to use it make sure you have lots and lots and lots of distance between you and your target lots of room for corrections

On the helicopter note I finally figured out how to use the stealth helis properly You just stay in stealth mode the whole damn time and use it like a dive bomber

when you get to subsequent sectors, the new vehicles don't show available to PC users

I got up to 29 takedowns out of 42 and the progression has stopped for me with Traceless. I’ve done at least 15 takes downs since, but it won’t advance. Tried switching up all the knives and specialists but still nothing. Traceless frozen at 29/42 takedowns for me.

Anyone else having this issue with Traceless tag tracking?

If they want 2042 to truly be the Ace of Battlefield games, it is completely possible and they are halfway there, they just need to more seamlessly integrate the older games into Portal. Which means making them feel the way they used to, with engine modifications where necessary.

It depends. It's true that one update per month is on the slower side of live content, but there are so many people and companies working on this game simultaneously that every update is going to be giga-polished.

It's kind of like you're baking a cake, and then the cake is done, then you and fifty other people start working on how to make the cake look as pretty as possible. Sure you can do it by yourself but it's going to look a lot better with 51 artistic people working on it with the same goal in mind.

So I just noticed, instead of the player models mouth fopping when they talk, their mouths do more natural animations for when they're talking

My big issue with the Jets still is the lock on distance for your air rockets is still so short that it's difficult to target helicopters without running into them

It definitely doesn't need to be a lot further but the f-35 specifically could use with a little bit more range on its AIM missile I find myself almost impacting super hinds trying to get a lock on them

The 25 definitely needed a boost to damage and damage drop off. However the dispersion buff to zero seems crazy to me. Pretty easy to snipe infantry now. Would have rather them just done a more modest buff so that they were more accurate against nightbird but not as much against infantry.
