Most certainly, imagine how many people would come back once they found out their favorite game from 10 years ago is getting a remaster. So people like myself can't come to enjoy this 2042 with how horrible this release was. And so battlefield has lost a huge player base because of it. I know, not everyone is going to like a product. But this isn't about it. The way it was released just goes to show how they care about the player base, now there was feedback and not soo many good reviews and are now making it how every battlefield player has enjoyed about battlefield.
Also, have you never wanted a game you played as a child to get a remaster. To imagine how far they could bring those graphics to life, with the new and improved technology.

Devastation on BFV. Meant to be an "apocalyptic" map because it's meant to have the ambience of a town destroyed.
A map like Marita or even Provence is meant to be a mixture of urban & open field. But those maps aren't "open", per se. There's cover, there's foliage, there's buildings. There's things to give you the illusion that you have protection from the enemy. That's good map design.
