It does emulate pretty well for BF standards. Look at the vehicles for instance. Planes had more detail than any planes in any other BF game. In fact this is pretty universal for BFV. By the end, it was very compelling. Tbh, the vast majority of the "it doesn't feel like WW2" came from the color palette not looking like an aged WW2 film.

A skin, is made only once. Then it can be copied and pasted as many times as you want. The prices of them are completely arbitrary
