Spend some time with it against AI to unlock at least the 2x scope ("TV 2X"). I feel like using it gets significantly improved with the 2x, and moreso if you earn the "Maul Hybrid 1.5-3X".

As with every weapon, spend some time with it against AI to be able to feel it out with less pressure (and disappointment :v ). You can really get a feel for the weapon's behavior and subsequent attachment setups when you play against AI specifically for that purpose, then you can field it live once you understand it better and/or have a better setup.

While I'm okay with progression, I'm kind of oldschool and also just enjoy the gameplay, and don't necessarily need a progression system as a motivator to enjoy playing the game. So when I want to check out a weapon, my compromise is that I field it against AI to earn the attachments I'm interested in and to get a feel for the weapon with no PVP pressure. Then when I've got the attachments I want, I just get my game on live against players and have fun engaging the gameplay, instead of getting frustrated with the progress grind.

I have, I really like it! It's difficult to reconcile switching out something like the Spawn Beacon for it, but if you want smokes on the field, it's literally the absolute best option for it. I have a Breakthrough support loadout that will specifically field Smoke Launcher or Spawn Beacon, depending on the needs of the moment.

Depends how you look at it. Smoke near you can't be strategically crossed by the enemy (and smoke on you offers XP points for Concealed/Smoke Heal and Revive), as well as preventing your team from being Spotted.

Smoke on the enemy can just be pushed through, or offer them maneuvering concealment and an easier time reviving and healing.

Given that we were talking about the B1 and B2 objectives at Exposure when the Sundance and Irish points came up, those hallways are very easy to use Irish's APS effectively, at low threat. There's lots of cover in the halls, and the stairways are both inclined and zigzagged. There's elevation that breaks LOS, and lateral cover from the handrail concrete siding to break LOS on the landings.

For anyone curious, my experience with the Ghostmaker R10/Crossbow so far:

"Standard Bolt"/Default ammo:

• 1 bolt loaded, requires full reload and pump w/every shot
  //Kills in:
  2x body shots, 1 headshot

"Bolt Rack" ammo (5bolt mag):

• 5 bolts loaded one after the other, requires pump action w/every shot fired
• Full reload repeats process
• Partial reload involves bolt by bolt up to 5 capacity
• Can be partially loaded and refired (just like the pump action shotgun)
  //Kills in:
  3x body shots, 1 headshot

I haven't yet earned the explosives bolts yet

They need to buff the Bolt Rack attachments for crossbow. It's so weak compared to the default. You get 5 bolts in one magazine, but you lose the ability to one shot at close range, and the cycling speed is almost as slow as the original reload speed. It's not worth using no matter how you look at it.

That sounds like a fair tradeoff tbh. The Bolt Rack still OHK headshots at any viable distance as far as I can tell, and most people aren't armored now that they adjusted Angel's gadget. Believe it or not, it's okay to be hard-countered by one uncommon thing. Per magazine, it's obviously faster than the other two options, since it eliminates the need to reload a bolt. A 5 bolt reload runs about 5.5s till you're ready to fire, but ~1.1s when you have another in the mag, which is about 50% faster than the Standard Bolt per-shot (which clocks in ~2.2s between shots).

Guys since you can only level up the jets with vehicle kills, and they don't start with air-to-ground missiles, how do you level them up? Bot modes are a crapshoot because only some of the maps will have bots that use aircraft, and even then, they don't prioritize spawning them in so you're lucky to get like, four of them.

The Ghostmaker R10 / crossbow's Explosive Bolt explosion has a small radius, but it's a OHK to infantry either hit by the bolt, or very close to it. An indirect explosion to full HP personnel does about 2/3 of their HP. That's pretty solid.
