You're misunderstanding. The only thing I want to transfer over is the Gold edition status, everything runs through your EA account so there's no reason why it should not work.

I got the game for PS5 because of the promise that progression and purchases would be shared.

Performance on PC has been absolute fucking dogshit since launch and in the 8 months there's barely been an improvement so while no one forced me to buy the PS5 version as well, it was the obvious choice. And now, after doing so those promises turn out to be worded in a way that is confusing and lead people on, including myself
